Lost both games but still a "good night for BC ball".....both teams held up well. Heritage had game won; up 4 with 1:30 and on double bonus. Should have held ball and waited on foul instead of driving to basket. This happened twice and allowed Bearden to regain lead.(of course its easier to play and coach from the upper deck). Heritage is still a dangerous team in region! William Blount stayed even with a much bigger and older Farragut thru 3 quarters. Region opponents better not relax cause they apply alot of pressure! Notes: Both these BC teams will be better next year barring transfers and injuries. Maybe 1 senior starter between the 2 teams. Farragut will lose alot but they always have plenty of good ones waiting Bearden does not lose anyone(i think) 2 freshman posts will be a force for 3 more years! Maryville will be good again, look for a very good group coming in.

Agree that Riverdale should win but you never know. Science Hill, Blackman and several others could prevail if all the stars lined up just right. Also agree that it would be nice if site rotated....would love to see it at Thompson Boling. But MTSU is centrally located and they've got running it down to a science. Do have one complaint about MTSU.....during day games shooters have a terrible time because of the lighting. Wish they could block the sunlight .

Picks all won the 1st of two. Record now 16-8. Kudos to Alcoa...won two away games at AAA schools on back to back nights!

Wow...somebody that thinks like me ! Does seem crazy that bball teams have to compete vs schools with twice the enrollment, if football teams had to do that these boards would go crazy. Maybe its because it takes more to players to play football. good topic helps divert me for awhile from upcoming tournaments.

Sticking with Farragut and Fulton. Alcoa is a longshot ( a deep 3).

Made a mistake on 3AAA...those teams are Powell, Hardin Valley, Anderson etc. I think 4AAA could put 2 into substate.

Yea seems like that is the way it goes seems it might hurt 1 and 2....sitting out 2 rounds.

Is 4AAA tournament set up like ? 1 & 2 seed have 1st round byes 3 plays 8 4 plays 7 5 plays 6 If so, the last few games for Mary,WB,Hert, and LC are very important.

As a special request from Alcoa fans; I'm going to predict score for tonights out of district game with Fulton. Fulton 67 Alcoa 42 Fulton has too much size and speed....this one will not be close!

Div I AA Agree Sims at Gatlinburg would be great choice. Also Bell at Creekwood and Newman at Alcoa are great players.

If I'm seeing the schedule right..... Bearden at Heritage...Farragut at William Blount Should know after these if current standings reflect the power in 4AAA. My take (50% of time I'm right,50% of time I misunderstood the question). Have seen Bearden 3 times this year thought they would lose all 3...they won all 3, they get the job done. Have seen Heritage 3 times thought they would win all 3...they lost all 3. I still think Bearden is not as good as their record and Heritage is better than their record. Since Heritage is at home I think they will win. Based on my record Bearden wins. Have seen Farragut 2 times...looked good both times, they have size and maturity. Have seen WB 2 times once they looked good and their last game they looked like the worst AAA team in state. Farragut should win easily, but WB is at home and it is girls basketball so you never know ! No matter which team you support please come out and watch...these girls and their schools need and appreciate our attendance

Webb is as close to a sure thing as there is. In 4AAA Farragut and Bearden have the best shot at Region, Heritage could slip in the picture. To advance to sub state they in have to beat 3AAA Morristown West, Seymour etc. The region final will be important because loser doesn't want to travel to Science Hill. Winner of Region should be favored to win substate and advance. Right now I think Farragut has best chance. Farragut and Science Hill to Murfreesboro. 4AA is not as clear as AAA. CAK and Alcoa have best shot at region. Their 3AA counterparts are strong, Fulton and Gatlinburg both have good teams. Region host Fulton and CAK should advance(unless they meet in semi). As in AAA the loser will have a very tough opponent in Grainger Co. Winner will probably get Elizabethton (with tough guard out) should advance. Grainger and Fulton to Murfreesboro.....but don't be surprised if CAK makes it through.

Agree totally. CAK was in total disarray. Alcoa played great, they have beat several teams that on paper looked better. When season started I thought CAK would have a cake walk to state now I'm not so sure. The injured guard has really hurt . Fulton and GP will both be tough at region. Get past that and Elizabethton and Grainger awaits. Still think CAK will get to state but they better tighten it up before tournaments!
