Hey Uglycoaching, it takes a big man to sit behind a computer screen and bad mouth someone under an assumed name. Let me tell you a little bit about a leader. A leader of life will lose a young son to leukemia, but adopt another young boy who has had heart surgeries and is deaf and raise him and love him like one of his own. A leader loves his family and puts them first in his decisions to make a better life for them. Let someone offer most of us a big pay increase and see how many people turn it down. I for one am always looking at what is best for my family, and I have learned over the years that most people you work for aren't very loyal to you, and you are only as good as what happens today. You don't know a thing about a real leader. I have been Coach Meadows friend for over 30 years and he is as good of a person as you will ever meet. Until you can put yourself in another persons shoes and walk in them, its better to just be quiet and enjoy the blessings you have. I know its a frustrating season and past few years at Catholic, I have been to a few games and I can understand. But when 90% of your best players are playing both ways and the other teams best players are playing one way, its hard to compete. Catholic has some fine players and young men on that team, but they are outnumbered, and usually by the second half they are out of gas, and it shows. You play to your team strengths, how many skill players do you see out there for Catholic who could start at these other schools they play every week? Not very many. That is why you run the ball, eat the clock up and shorten the game. I have watched Meadows coach since he was at Sequoyah, I can assure you that he is a good football coach and will throw it all over the field when he has the personnel to do it. I go to a high school football game about every week from North Georgia to Knoxville, and I would take him and his staff over about 90% of what i see week to week. A lot of people forgot that when Catholic won the state, they played 3A Ball, toughest game they played was Austin East. This is an entirely different ball game. Also you mentioned earlier about a kid who didnt come to Catholic and went to another school because of coaching. It may have been coaching, but if my education was free at Webb, and I had to pay to go to Catholic, if I am not Catholic, its an easy choice, and by saying that I am in no way saying anything bad about Catholic High School. Free education vs. around $10k a year. Do the math. If I was a coach I wouldnt worry about people like you badmouthing me on a website, You can go 0-10 or 15-0 and there is someone out there that is going to bad mouth you for something. You are a terrible coach or you don't play my son enough, or why did you call that play. I would say to you, if a coaching job comes open you need to apply. I bet you have a few people that think you suck at you're job too, they just dont have a free website where they can take on an assumed name and tell you how sorry you are. Loser!
