Wasn't me. But I did make the comment that both grundy and jasper could finally agree on something.........we are both happy that "the legend" is back in Jasper. We can finally start rebuilding the moral of the school and the athletic program that he brought down.

I remember the the first time Grundy played Howard at home. The sprinkler system malfunctioned sometime during the we hours on Thursday night. The field was soaked on Friday night and we had not seen rain for 2 weeks. The Yellow Jackets won that night. With all the field work going on up on that mountain you never now what will happen. The field looked great for the jamboree.....may need some heavy watering next week so that the grass will grow.

Jasper should win this ballgame. Just curious, when did the sugar incident happen? Was it the night of the jamboree or later in the week? We no Grundy County didn't do......they would have stole it. As for the comment about the "Legend" being bush league....Ken himself believes he is a legend and it was a reference to the story News Channel 9 ran the week prior.

Grundy WINS! 1 thing Grundy and Jasper can agree on......."The Lengend" is back where he belongs. Heard that from many tonight. It will take a while for the GC program to recover. Bledsoe got a win over Sequatchie County 7-0. South Pittsburg beat Whitwell and "Jasper". Grundy beat Lookout Valley 7-0 and "Jasper" 7-6. Was really surprised the "Legend" KC didn't call timeout to try and get the ball back late in the GC/Jasper game. Head coach must have pulled rank.

No hiding what happened. Both teams were filming the game. Both coaching staffs will be able to look at this film and realize just how foolish everyone looked. Seeing coaches and fans encouraging the kids on the sidelines to get on the field and join the scuffle was rather embarrasing. I realize there were no officials but was this a TSSAA scimmage date? It also appeared that GC's best threat at QB was the freshman #15. He never had a good snap to work with but still had the best zip on the ball of all the QB's, Moore and Coffee included.

Game 1 between #4 Sequatchie County and #5 South Pittsburg ended with a 6-3 win for the Indians. South Pittsburg out hit the Indians but walks and hit batsmen by the Pirate pitching staff proved costly. Game 2 of the night went to #3 Marion County as Austin Layne threw a 1 hitter and struck out 15. Cagle threw the final 5 innings for #2 Bledsoe picking up 14 K's and allowing no hits. Marion pushed the winning run across in the top of the 7th on an walk, stolen base, error by the catcher, and an error by the 2nd baseman, all with 2 outs. Final score Marion 3 Bledsoe 2. Todays 1st game will pair Sequatchie County against #1 seed Grundy County @ 4:30. The late game will be an elimination game between South Pittsburg and Bledsoe County @ 6:30. All games are being played at Grundy County High School.

13 year old incoming freshman has played on 60/90 dimensions for 2 years of middle school ball. Birthdate is in June of 95. Dizzy and Dixie both have rules that say he cannot play with the 15-18 division because of birthdate. Dizzy and Dixie both have smaller field dimensions in the 13/14 year old age groups. BPA and USSSA are the same way. Does anyone have a suggestion or know of an organization that plays on a regulation diamond with 13 year olds? Can you receive a waiver on the age from certain affiliations?

What about Tommy Andrews from Grundy? He has 10+ years of experience and Coach Bryant has not contacted him about joining his staff at Grundy.

Ted would and has always been the best D-coordinator Grundy County has ever had. That was in the day where you could work the kids and had parents who understood the discipline and work ethic that is required to win championships. Good luck to Nick on getting your kids in shape. I hear that running will get him fired if one gets sick.
