Not to enter into the debate of Lexington or Baylor but there are a lot of good hitting teams in the state. I will add Columbia Academy to that list. I watched them put on a hitting performance at the Sarah Beth Whitehead tourney this weekend. When they needed singles they got singles and when they got a pitch to drive they drove it, at last count I heard 13 homeruns in 8 games against good teams and not to mention they still had fresh pitching when it came down to the championship game. Congratulations to them for representing middle Tennessee well in this tournament and good luck to all this season.

I am a 2nd year 18u player and I have played ASA for the last several years. Most of my team aged out of 18u last year after Nationals so the team disbanded. I am about to complete by freshman year of softball at a Division I school. I am looking for a team I can help and will help me stay sharp over the summer. I am a slapper and I can play about anywhere except pitcher or catcher but I would really like to get some time at 2B. Please email me at softballtn@gmail.com if you are interested.

This will be a GREAT series. I bet it will be standing room only. Good Luck to all! I wish the BIG school in Columbia would agree to play ALL the other schools in the county in a series like this.

Lauren Bradley - Columbia Academy 2B/Slapper - Very tough out and good glove.

Weather has just been a villain all year. It is going to come down to a lot of districts either going single elimination or sending the top 2 from the regular season. We have had so much rain this week that it really didn't matter if you were tarped or not because the outfields flood and or run off gets under the tarps.

If a Game 5 is forced, one team will play 4 games.

Possibly having to play 4 games in one night an hour and a half from home on a school night. Hope there are no tests on Friday. No surprise that the host school is already eliminated. Ready to get it over.

About time to just go single elimination. Weather just isn't working out this year.
