It would be hard for me to understand that not one of the teams was filming the game. I also find it hard to believe that no police was present at the game, especially in Memphis even if it was on church grounds, as we all see thats not sacred enough for some to behave like ordinary humans should. If these two teams don't play during regular season it sound like a good rivalry is brewing.

Dyer Co. will be hosting the 10th Annual Sport Plus First Look Scrimmage on Fri. Aug. 7th. Teams playing are Lake Co. vs Gleason, Halls vs Ripley, Brighton vs Haywood, Gibson vs Dyer Co. to close it out. Ok fans who are your picks to win? 6pm start time.

Covington will be hosting a jamboree on Aug. 14th with Covington,Brighton,Ripley and a 4th team i'm not sure who it is.

Does anyone know how Westview and Covington are coming alone?

I was just wondering why do you think Dyersburg will suffer, I watched them at USJ in 7 on 7 they looked pretty good then.

Kentucky does not allow games to start with high heat I am sure that TN will follow. Some schools already start late when games are to be started at high temps. But if they do allow games to start in the heat they should allow practice in the heat! The new TSSAA rule is a game cannot start untill the heat index is 103 and below so some games may not start till 9pm well after the sun and temps have fallen. We all must agree the weather for the month of july has been a blessing.

Must be a Jackson Madison County school rule because other schools in TN. has asst. principals coaching.

Lincoln I agree with what you are saying, and I also think you must have turned your back alot because their was alot of scoring in the Ripley/Fayette game and the bulk of it by Ripley because they did win that match up. Ripley Defense did look pretty bad against USJ and allowed USJ to go up 60 pts. over them.

USJ looked good today along with Dyersburg, Ripley lost to USJ and won over Southside and Fayette Academy. Gibson was a no show so Ripley freshman filled their slots. Their was a lineman challenge at Trinity with these same schools but I don't know the results. If anyone go out on friday can you post the results I like to know who's plays, wins, loose or draw I beleive we all like good hard nose football regardless of who plays.

I think from my understanding the top two teams in each playoff division such as 3a and 4a go to the playoffs, meaning a 3a team can have a worst division record than a 4a team and go to the playoffs if they are 1st or 2nd in their division. So everyone has to bring their a game every week.

I don't know the outcome of those games but their will be 18 teams playing at USJ today and another 18 teams on friday.

Gamespitter thanks for providing that link. I think the fact that they only have seven seniors could be a plus on a rebuilding team.

He went to jail and it looks like the only playing in his furture is for State Pen. and not to be confused with Penn State.

I've heard some good things on JCM new coach so its sounds like they're going to try and turn things around, but for some reason I just can't get any info on Northside about their coaching situation or how things are looking in general for them.

I just wanted to mention just a few days ago a kid in Memphis pulled a gun on a coach and threatened to kill him but didn't, I don't know all the details but thought its worth mentioning on this post. They say the kid could have some college offers.

I don't think anyone expects much out of JCM because they're rebuilding their program so they just may be the dark horse, I never heard anything since spring about Northside coaching situation, maybe someone can offer some insight I think they were looking for a new coach. Liberty should do well and I don't know anything about southside.

I hear both are good schools I a haven't had the pleasure to watch them play but I'm looking foward to it. How's the new coach working out for the trojans?
