Wow. Mt. Juliet lost. Never saw that one coming...

I was there. Great night of baseball. He had great command all night--only three balls put in play and they were two infield pops and a blooper up the middle on last play of game that almost bounced over his head but he managed to pull down, set his feet and make a good throw. He never waivered. Did not try to do too much. Mostly 2 seamers and location all night. Fun night for him and the team.

Middle school ball is a curious thing. It is supposed to feed the high school, but it seems as though the ones in charge don't always develop the kids in a manner that is most beneficial. Do the high school coaches oversee any of it? Or is that asking too much of them because they are managing their own team? Just wanting feed back on where the stronger programs are and what makes them stronger. Thanks.

Philip will not play Saturday against Science Hill. Two more weeks rest according to his doctors. Still--should be a great game.
