  1. What is interesting about him? The only thing that I know is that Top Gun made Breeden what he is today!!!!! I know more nicknames for him than anyone. To answer your question about softball, I have the original softball information source on my side of town. My main man, Nelson, said that high school softball originated in a cow pasture in Hillsboro, TN, on Logans Chapel Rd. in front of Coach Floyd's house in 1914. They used cow patties for bases. Sticks for bats. Rocks for balls Original home team coach: Skeeder Willis. Original Fan: Goodloe McLaughlin. Original Umpire: Flash Matthews. Is that picture colorful enough? Good Luck Coffee vs. Soddy. Due to never beating them, the odds are on your side.

    7AAA

Does anyone know the standings? I know that Oakland is 5-5 losses to Cookeville, Lebanon, Siegel, Blackman, Riverdale I know that Riverdale is whatever and 0
  3. If she is batting 2nd, putting it in play, and moving baserunners who cares what the batting average is. If she is fast, slap her!!!!

    Free Tournament

We cannot play, but if you want you can send us $150. You must have plenty of money in Hendersonville.
  5. Who is the favorite to win the Worth Tournament this year? I give the early nod to Cumberland County with the two KY (Mercy and Catholic)schools right behind because of pitching depth. Owensboro Catholic is ranked in the top 25. Goodpasture won last year, probably the best team, but can there workhorse go the distance this year? Most competitive tourney around!!!! Great facilities and looks like going to be great weather.
  6. Thanks ladyraidermom, I was just wandering. It must be 5-1 because I saw the Brentwood score. That game has to count since it was last weekend. The Beech playday scores did not count.
  7. I was wandering what coffee's record is now? I know that they lost 1 to Brentwood in the Hendersonville tournament. Is that the only loss? Good Job Terry!
  8. Public to public does not matter. As long as a different address is written down, there are no questions asked!!!!!!!!
  9. In these situations, the move does not matter. DCA services Wilson Co, even if she moved it would not change the situation. MTCS services all of Rutherford County. Tiffany's mom, dad, and grandparents all live in the Oakland Zone. She could have put any address, but it would not matter. It is a public/private thing. If she had been told that she would have been ineligible this year, she would not have helped MTCS out. She had known for over a year the move was going to take place. Single mom in college, older sister going to college, and dad not paying child support. It costs over $3000 to go to MTCS. The price was raised this year and the school had already given the highest amout of financial aide posssible. Thus, Tiffany sits out a year of softball!!!!!!!! If mom had money and moved to Brentwood Academy or Harpeth Hall, Tiffany would be eligible.
  10. Tiffany will be eligible on May 8, 2004. Second day of the district tournament. Thanks for comments. I see that not everyone agrees with me. Question: If she was transferring for athletics, what if the school dropped the program? Should she be able to transfer without sitting out a year? According to "a rule is a rule" she would not get to play. Do you think she should have the opportunity to play taken away from her?
  11. She was not zoned to a high school, she was in 8th grade!! Had she been a tenth grader at a public school, been unhappy, got a zone exemption to Blackman, Riverdale, or Siegel, she would have been eligible. Instead, mother knows nothing of the rule and gets busted for helping out MTCS, who wants her to be able to play and knew she was going to leave MTCS when she was a 8th grader anyway.
  12. I was wanting some opinions on a particular topic. OHS freshman Tiffany Smith was penciled in to be the starting SS and a major factor in the offense at OHS. When filling out paperwork it was found out that she played varisty softball games at Middle Tennessee Christian School as an eight grader to help the school field a team, they forfeited some games due to lack of players. Tiffany came to Oakland because her single mom could no longer afford to send her to private school because her older sister was going to college. Tiffany was not recruited because the softball coach was hired two days before school started. She did not even come to tryouts, the day before school, because she was playing summer ball with her Extreme Edge team. According to principal and coaches, it was MTCS hope that she would be able to play this year.Tiffany did not even want to go to Oakland, but was forced to because of financial reasons. She was pleased with just playing summer ball, but has developed a bond with the team this fall. TSSAA is not allowing her to play, so a freshman student going to the school she is zoned to, is crying and has to watch her teammates play without her. Tiffany is a top 10 freshman in the state!!!!!Is this right?
  13. coachd, I saw that the game vs. Cumberland turned out 2-1. How did that game go? Did you pitch Megan? Did Cumberland Hit?
  14. With Peroni on the mound, Goodpasture is the best team in the state. You may get them late in the tournament, but they are the best team in a single- two game series. I was told that they returned 8 starters from a state championship team of a year ago. They also won the Worth Tourney last year with Peroni pitching like a fighter in a heavyweight match!!!!! Can hit, good speed, good defense. The only thing that they lack is Good Coaching. I think that they lost over 50 pounds in that category. Congrats Coach Phillips. Keep UP the good work and the pounds DOWN!!! I like to not have known you!!!!
  15. HHS51, I am glad that you finally got finished counting all that money and had time to make out the brackets. Look foward to seeing you guys this and next weekend!! Ol'Buddy from the 'boro.
