  1. Does anyone know if the games will be streamed on the internet?
  2. Where will University School and Hancock Co. be playing the championship game?
  3. you are arguin with me but you are saying exactly what i am. Im not putting down USJ's baseball team, they did have the best team in the state last year, maybe in any division, im just saying basically what you just said. if you had the choice of USJ or a school like Harriman, where would you go? USJ has a better reputation as far as baseball, and well probably everything else too, but over the past few years harriman has had some really good teams. the only difference between a good Harriman team and a good USJ team is that the boys from harriman have played together their entire lives, thats why they are good, not because they have a ton of talent.and i say they would "naturally" be better because they get more recognition, so more of the better athletes go to these schools, yes most of the time on their own free will, i never accused them of recruiting. As far as you getting your championship stripped because of a couple of kids not paying their tuition, i really dont know what to say about that, yea i guess you are still the champions, you did have the best team, i just dont understand how you could make the decision to go to a private school (where tuition should be understood) and fail to pay it.
  4. you cant honestly tell me that half of these kids on this team go for a "better" education and they just happen to have one of the most dominating single A baseball teams in the state, maybe even the country. your not going to change my mind about that. im not saying they recruit (although it wouldnt surprise me if they did) im just saying that these private schools with better althetic programs and higher athletic standards attract better athletes.
  5. What im trying to say is that these kids know that the athletic programs in a school like USJ would naturally be better than in a school like Harriman, so im sayin that it would attract athletes, and the education part of it is just something that comes along with it. because really, if you cant pass high school then you really must just not care about it, because its not hard i dont care if its private or public.
  6. who wouldnt have been put out by USJ, a team full of kids who go to the private schools for sports, not education. but i guess if you go back and look at it by the rules, harriman got put out by a team that cheated its way to a state tournament, so the were really something like 0-40 werent they and harriman went 4-0 in the tournament. im not sayin they didnt know how to win, and that they werent a good baseball team, but its not hard to follow rules, if you want to go to a school where you have to pay tuition, pay your tuition....
  7. anybody know who won this one?
  8. Harriman weak again? when was the last time harriman had a weak team. they have won 20+ games for the past 3 or 4 years, the last time harriman was weak none of the kids on the team were even in high school, and i definately think harriman has a better team than kingston, considering that they havent lost to them in 3 years.
  9. what was the score of this game?
  10. Harriman is looking pretty good so far, returning all the pitchers and only losing the 1st baseman and center fielder.
  11. 2004 Easter Slam in Humboldt USJ, JCM, Gibson Co. Humboldt, and Harriman that i know of
  12. the same in baseball? i believe harriman beat rockwood 2 out of 3 times last season and rockwood had NOTHING to do with harriman not going to state.
  13. Well Harriman took it to the bulldogs tonight, and as for Kries, he played well tonight(dont know how many points), but he still isnt in his "groove", its not just him though, Billy Ledbetter and Tyler Miller have been playin really good the past few games. harriman still isnt playing like we all know they can, but when or if it happens they should make rockwood and wartburg look bad.
  14. Harriman's JV is pretty tough, the beat Oakdale 104-16 and the other day beat Rockwood by about 30 or 35
  15. Harriman plays McMinn Central on the 28th and Polk Co. on the 29th, but im not sure about times or other teams in the tournament.
