  1. They are both good basketball players. If I knew that my other picks were all going to be ball handlers and shooters I would probably take Meadows over Lamb.....but if you were taking the best player overall then there is little question that Lamb is the better pick because she does more for those around her and she is pretty relentless. You can park Meadows on the low block and she is going to get you twenty every night.....the difference is you can put Lamb just about anywhere and she is going to get her twenty each night too. One thing is for sure....they are both commanding enough presence to demand you game plan for each. Kazzy
  2. I agree with that.....that is why they won. Kaz
  3. Apparently.....everyone conceded South Greene would win since no one actually has said they did, at least not on here. What was the score of the game last night against Summertown. Only post was someone said Summertown was going to be very good in the future. Kaz
  4. Like to see people actually act their age. I'd have thought a more mature person would have moved along. Sheesh..... Kaz
  5. We going to find out the gap in a few hours. This is when the excitement starts happening folks....! Kazzy
  6. Thanks....took my time so I didn't offend anyone. Kaz
  7. I knew that was coming, Pujo!!! Kaz
  8. Regardless of how you view SG's intangibles.....they did a good job of staying on top of an excellent PC team. I have said throughout this thread that the winner of this game is the clear frontrunner to the Gold Ball, and nothing witnessed yesterday makes me see otherwise. I CAN see that despite how good the teams are, no one is infallible. It will be vital for the two favorites to keep their focus because the other two are more dangerous than you think. Hampton can play with CR unless their post has issues with foul trouble. Their guards seem plenty capable of being able to overcome CR's pressure. On the flip side, if Summertown can make a high number of threes....they can certainly cause problems for SG. I still think SG is the toughest pickle in the jar because they have outstanding depth to compliment their starters. All that said...I still think CR and SG
  9. Although CR and SG are clearly in the drivers seat. They would do well to be leery of both Hampton and Summertown. Anyone can get beat with an unfocused effort at this level. That being said I think the favorites still win today. CR by 6 SG by 8 Kaz p.s. Good luck to all four
  10. Shout out to Dresden Coaches.....especially the old ball coach C. West. Hope you keep slaying dragons as you keep going. You folks got two fine coaches....but you probably should know that by now. Good luck. Kaz
  11. I think the guards at Upperman are very dynamic and the PG has been very good for a number of seasons. Her ball skills are impressive and I thought that last year too. Watching Upperman, I am almost as impressed with their drive and competitiveness as much as their abilities. They (IMO) are just a very hard working group. What does that mean for their next game....who knows, but you can bet they will keep playing to the final horn. Kazanity
  12. This is just out of curiousity.....but Cleveland did very well in the large division middle school tournament. Will those girls be going to Cleveland High School? I assumed they are Cleveland's feeder school but I really don't know. It would seem to me that Jr. High success would continue at the HS level. Kaz
  13. I can live with my post. I don't believe I ever made any reference to your IQ. Your assumption as to specific party....not mine. I don't do pipes or smok'em. Kaz
  14. Tell Pujo....I think I got this.....but if it ever appears that I'm drowning (not likely, but possible) tell him to come save me....! Then again....you probably know I like a good romp in the mud.....especially when I am winning....! Kazii
  15. lol.....I got to stop....poor fella's just like a broken record I can't ignore. Good luck to your Lady bulldogs this week. Kaz
  16. Really......not sensitive at all......seriously? I mean two people have posted that and neither of them were me. You might have a complex you don't know about. Kazzy
  17. Whatever you say.....Hoot!! Hey, you all....there is basketball being played....! Maybe I should leave him alone and get back to that, huh? Kazahoops
  18. SMH.....rather immature Hoot, but a Hoot none the less. It's right there...."in black and white". Kazzy
  19. I ain't backpedaling. Others read the same thing and the only person that has taken any offense to my opinion is......BigDaddy1. I'm leaving it....it appears your skin is too thin to see something that, in reality, isn't even about a player. SMH.....you are a hoot...! Like UC said....let's move along.....we have made too much ado over nothing. Kaz
  20. I think the final will pit CR and SG. I think CR will get past the first round and then have a bit more of a struggle with Huntingdon....but still think they will beat them. SG/PC is the defacto first round nightmare (for both teams) I'm going with SG because they are a little more of an inside/outside team, while PC does most of their damage behind the arc. PC can win but it is going to have to be a great shooting night for all of them. I would think a team as solid as SG will contest everything and this one will be the game to watch. The next game should be less strenuous, yet no less nerve racking. In the final.....two very similar teams that should make for a great championship game. Kazantooga
  21. Don't have any love for the diamond sport. Mainly follow Basketball and Football. Just because something is stated as a point of reference doesn't mean you are saying a kid or team is inferior in sport. I have heard over the years comments such as "that line got whipped throughout the game", which in essence is talking about five individuals on an 11 man group. Although one may not like it.....in most cases the point may in fact be valid in that particular instance. Have you ever heard the reference "sometimes the bug/sometimes the windshield"? That pretty much sums up a basketball game in which the contests are determining a winner and a loser. Of course, CR has been the windshield in more games than not.......! You would think gaining the right "perspective" about an opinion would be taken with a broader appeal than to narrow it down to one portion of it. I will.....have a good day, that is.... Kazoopy
  22. BigDaddy.......you missed the point.....I never said they "out ran" CR or even that they won handily in the game I was referencing. My whole point was they played the game at a pace that they committed too. Funny....I found the game on my TiVo and I stand by everything I said because Middleton DID dictate the pace of play in that game. That was the whole point behind my comments, and you trying to find anything underlining in something I said was more of you trying to dig something out that wasn't there. In other words, I wasn't attempting to belittle anyone or any team. I will be careful referencing CR in the future....not because they couldn't be a case in point, but because it appears you can only handle what you deem to be praise and not a simple comment concerning tatics. On a personal note: Congrats to Ms. Meadows on her Miss Basketball Award. Very deserving after the kind of rehabilitation she had to go through to get back. Hats off to any kid that has the patience and fortitude to get all the way back. Kazanity
  23. First of all.....I don't recall saying any kid in this instance by name and you can make any assumption you want Daddio.....? My post was exclusively regarding pace of play and not about individual players. Sheesh, talk about thin skin. I am quite certain that was no low blow to anyone, more as a reference point about the relentlessness of Middleton executing a game plan designed to speed the tempo. If it doesn't offend you too much.....Middleton players made those defenders (all of them) look remarkably slow after they had wore on them for a half. And I am absolutely certain that they made MANY teams look that way. Funny thing is, whether he admitted it or not, Coach Rodgers would have probably agreed with me. You're probably calling more attention to my post than any intent on my part. I'll try to steer clear of referencing an example I have seen before. You would think I started your dumpster fire.....I been here for years and anyone that knows me will tell you I don't go low. You read too much there Pal....! Kazaoobob
  24. You know regarding pace of play....it has been my experience that it is much easier to get a team to play fast than it is to dictate a slower pace UNLESS your team has plenty of capable ball handlers. If I want to get you at a faster tempo, I'm going to play you 94 feet tip-off to final horn. Of course in Murfreesboro your going to have to have a very deep bench to make that happen because your going to need fresh legs throughout. I remember Middleton vs. Clarkrange a few years ago and everyone said CR would play a very deliberate game and beat them. By the time the smoke had cleared CR players looked like they were playing in quicksand....! Middleton guards went by them so fast that the only thing that could have stopped them was a rim protector. The only problem was...she was still getting back up the court. Kaz
