  1. Well looks like FCS girls have won regular season district. Red Boiling Springs didn't come into 8-A and dominate quite as much as everyone in 7-A thought! Congratulations Lady Commanders!! Katy will be proud of you all!!
  2. You obviously weren't there for either of the picket/fcs games.
  3. Ahhhhhhhhhh! Now that was a team for sure!!!! Some great memories there!
  4. Who knows you may be right but I do remember back in the twin tower days ya'll all thought we stunk then too. One thing's for sure ,our chances for advancing in region are just as good as Clay Co.'s
  5. OK now Megan Read came to friendship as a freshman also and then transfered to mt. juliet for her junior year then back to friendship as a senior. She didn't play ball her senior year because of eligability.
  6. warmath came in as a freshman. To me that isn't a transfer.
  7. westmoreland moves to AA next year so your eagles will have much bigger fish to fry, but know this sometimes the step child turns out to be the one you should be most afraid of.
  8. you're right we missed too many easy shot to expect to win. I think the officiating was mediocre to say the least. They missed alot of holding underneath the basket in the girls game and then actually called it in the boys game. They also let one girl ,who had the ball sitting in the paint , jump up and dribble down the floor. The other thing that makes me crazy is the charge calls. they need to get together and stop the floppers. If a kid is strong enough to mow another down that's a foul but to fall over when you're tapped is ridiculous and hazzardous to the shooter. Hopefully we'll be ready for them next time there's still alot of ball left to play.
  9. I had the same problem. I've sent the webmaster and the chairman an e-mail. I'm sure they'll have it fixed soon.
  10. AMEN! All McNeal cares about are his football and baseball boys. He didn't even apologizie in his newspaper interview. He bent over backwards to keep Rickaway eligible and he was expelled before signing day but well after his senior season was done! This little girl is totally innocent of any wrong doing and if she or her parents had been knowlegable of the rules they would never have jeopardized our season, that's where the athletic director should have double checked everything. but alas it wasn't his precious football team.
  11. that's really easy for you to say but my daughter is devastated. She has worked harder than anyone to get to where she is and this was going to be her first region game. She was so excited not scared. Yes we need to lift these kids up and the coaches but there also needs to be someone to stand up and take some responsibilty for this tragic mistake. I personally think it lands in the lap of the athletic director. He teaches no classes only coaches and holds this position. There is no excuse for this to have fallen between the cracks. I too feel it could have been handled differently by the TSSAA. Ialso don't understand why no one at the school felt it was worth trying to appeal the decision or can you appeal a decision on a punishment? These girls did not deserve this.
  12. It should be 8-A's turn to host regions. Even years go to 8-A and odd years go to 7-A.
  13. in the words of my granny " you need to mind your own cat killin"
  14. Not true, I'm pretty sure Riverdale ladies went to state in 2003, the year horton was a senior.
  15. Clay Co. wins by 12. Friendship was in it until 4th when Clay Co hits three threes in a row. Hard fought game. Friendship plays whole game without 2 starters. Bench really stepped up tonite. Could have been a slaughter.
  16. OK so I guess your saying it was unfair.
  17. Friendship played all their subs when he pulled his starters. Our starting posts didn't play two full quarters either. In the fourth quarter coach told the guards to quit stealing the ball. So what exactly are you saying?
  18. FCS wins by 40. Way to go girls this was a good win!!!
  19. before that it was Celina over Friendship again and Friendship over RBS
  20. You are so right! We played there twice this year and both showtime tournaments were the same. There were no posting of brackets anywhere. We show up for a 6:00 game and a substitute team is there to play. I hate playing in Shelbyville. At our game on friday night there was 2 ten year old kids keeping the clocks! The whole tournament was rinky dink!
  21. you mean to tell me that the Pride won state and the NIKE team didn't play on sunday at all!! SWEET!!!
  22. You are so right! Chris Brown would never allow that. I'm sure when he finds out about it , it will be addressed. This team you are referring to is new to the Pride family. They are formerly the Tennessee Gold. The Pride 13's that have been with Chris since they were 10's start their sub-states this week-end in Cheatham Co.
