  1. PSAFOUR, while most of your comments on here I agree with, the one on ODP is off in my opinion. ODP in TN is sub par at best. Club soccer is where a player needs to be if they want to get seen by more than a few colleges. You need to be giving out schedules of where and when you are playing and if u live in a area that has bad soccer, then you should do what many players who are serious do and travel to better areas and make the commute. My team has 5 players from the Tri cities and one from chattanooga. All them commute bc the level of soccer is better in Knoxville than where they live. Those are some options for u.

    best teams

I'm sure you're optimistic about Riverdale, but that post is absolutely ridiculous. Riverdale, won't even be in contention at states, if they make it, in my opinion, and certainly won't be able to run with the likes of Farragut if they play them.
  3. By the way, this is for everyone who has gone through this. Just make sure that your woman is with you for you and not because you have sweet shoes. Make sure she's not just after you for the status that your sweet shoes bring to you.
  4. Correction Mr. lcsoccer. The shoe of choice this season will be a pair of white legarras, but they will none the less have the same effect on the ladies.
  5. Watch out for P Ding over at Knoxville Catholic. He's a force.
  6. Kingston will have a good team, but I believe Lenoir City is going to knock them out again this year. Day is good as well as McMillin but they can't carry the team. However, Mitch Thomas outta LC will own A/AA this year again. He will rip apart every team he plays this year with the exception of Knoxville Catholic. CAK will be good again, but I don't think they will win states again. Lots of good A/AA talent this year. I look forward to the results.
  7. Thanks Brad for that lovely response.
  8. i agree with PSA about the old style cleats. The copas and puma kings work great on every surface. With those shoes there is really no need for another pair for differect conditions. They hold up and play well everywhere. Besides a players skill determines how he does in any condition, not his cleats. Don't over think this topic.
  9. The keeper for redout who is also at ND if I'm correct is solid. Trey meyor, however u spell it, is a good keeper as well. Not the best in the state but one of them. In my opinion Josh Elam is the best keeper in the state, but is not playing this year because of reasons I'm not sure. However, in talking to him he did say the Mountaineers show great promise and that even though he'd love to be apart of the team, he has opted to stay at bearden.
  10. tough to say in division 2. There are a lot of good players.
  11. hey there carrie, u gotta sn? we can talk. ttyl
  12. well the one who's posted everything but my last post on this thread and the first one wasnt me, but I go to Catholic and they call me Evan, and you are?
  13. sorry someone posted under my name, but what did that entire last statement mean? please explain.
  14. Catholic will be a force to be recogned with. The sheridans will turn your heads while Dak Ishis powerful grunts will prevail.
  15. How good are the 89's and do u play for the 88 team yaya?
  16. I believe they are talkin about Franklin High School, and yes they will have plenty of players to fill the roles. There are many good players from a TNFC 88 team that can play
  17. knowledge I have only read the above post made by you and I can easily see why everyone on here would want your posts to be deleted. The one you made above is ignorant and childish. It is america, but this is coacht and you have to go by his rules so deal with it.
  18. In Knoxville Farragut is very good along with Oak Ridge. In Chattanooga Baylor and GPS are good too. Around Nashville Franklin, Harpeth Hall, Brentwood, MBA, and Ryan are good. In Memphis, Houston and Germantown are good. The girls team at my school, Knox Catholic by the way is a push over.
  19. Franklin is likely to be very good this year. Not only do they have some good upperclassmen, but there underclassmen as well, mainly the sophmore class comprised of many TNFC players, will probably have this team loaded with talent.
  20. all i know is that a chic named carry will rip it up over there
  21. There are a few things to consider with the public private debate. One, Private schools can take people from anywhere they want. Two, private schools can give financial aid. Three, not all schools give it, because they simply don't have that kind of money. Four, private schools cannot recruit although it has happened. Heres the deal. People talk about how private schools dominate which can be true, but if you put them all into the same catagory a number of things happen. The smaller private schools that have like 100 kids get trampled. Also it kind of downplays the public school success. If you say private schools win the titles, so you get rid of them, then it makes the public schools victory cheaper. Then you can say to your kids, "son once we got rid of that equal sized school that beat us for years we were finally able to win." When you talk about state titles, you are looking for the best. It doesn't matter how you get there. I've seen teams that are physically outmanned win because of sheer hard work and determination. That kind of attitude has taken many teams to states. There is a big debate about Maryville and other open public school zones on whether they should become private. The thing is that there is no perfect solution, but its being worked on so enough complaints and get to work.
  22. Knoxville Fire have a great side, but they will need to play with the heart they showed last year to win it again.
  23. Good points both of you. TNFC and PSA both have good sides and one which i know the Impact does not take lightly what so ever. I feel that a number of teams have a shot at the state title. Obviously the returning champ is favored but teams can creep up on anyone. This tournament will probably be one of the better ones seeing as how it is in memphis. Good luck to all and I hope to see everyone in the semis and so on.
  24. What is interesting about all this whining from Bearden is that they never mention the third goal they let in. If you want to whine about whether or not something was a handball fine, it makes the Bearden program look like horrible sports, but at least admit that Farragut should have beaten you. The third goal as I understand it was not questionable at all. So unless somebody can argue a reason why the third goal shouldn't have counted as well, everyone should just shut up and admit that farragut was the best team this year. (3-1) record with Bearden.
