No, not a little thin skinned. I believe I said after the game Friday that I was ready and understood people saying stuff about the loss. And yeah, Brentwood does have the best chance, I recognize that. When did I ever say I didn't? Sure I probally made more noise about Franklin having a chance at the title still, but isn't that natural? What I don't understand is some of the posts that bruinfever posted last night. Well aren't you just full of creative little posts tonight? Thank you for finally being able to explain why my Rebels didn't win the other night. You know, when you say that, you actually take away from Brentwood. You're not saying they won because maybe they played the better game, but because the other team was spending too much time looking at your jerseys. Well I'll make sure I'll remember this when you get knocked out of the playoffs at your place in the quaterfinals. I'll remember.

I think BGA owns D-II AA again this year. They're passing game needs to improve though first. Well, their offense does. Haven't been producing much in the way of points (7 or so against G'Pasture, 21 [not bad] against ECS, and 9 against DL). I would say Briarcrest has a good chance too. I say a repeat of last year's Clinic Bowl with the same winner.

Well listen here, I can't say anything I want to say right now because I'm obsessed with CoachT.com and don't want to be thrown off. No, I'm not dating one of the football players. Real cute though, I swear. Yeah, I do praise the school like I'm attatched. I have a lot of pride being able to say I support Franklin High School football, and when the other seasons come, those sports. Some may want to say "well you've just jumped on the bandwaggon because the team is good." No, not at all. Last year (my first full year at Franklin) I was in a position with another school's radio network where I couldn't be at Franklin games and therefore didn't think I should post about stuff I wasn't able to see. This year, I am able to go to the Franklin games and be one of their biggest fans. That's all it is man. I'm this way with any team I support whether it be a high school football team, my college team (go Sooners!) or a 14 year old travel baseball team my dad coached. Yeah, we did lose Friday night to the Brentwood High School Bruins. So yes, technically you guys "own Williamson County." Brentwood played a great game and Franklin hurt themselves. I don't get on here to bash other teams, just to be a supporter of mine. So I don't know why I'm geting this from you, but there, there's my two cents. Probally went too in-depth, but oh well. I felt it was needed. GO REBELS!

Hey buddy, did you happen to look at what was the first on my four most likely? Yeah, Brentwood winning out. I was just trying to be informative, but obviously you couldn't see that. You saw that a Franklin person posted and jumped to a conclusion. Sure I did post some biased thoughts but while being informative. I covered about every possibility except Kenwood beating anyone. If you like, I could let you know what would happen if Kenwood beat your mighty Bruins. I had a respect for ya'll but it's slowly leaving with some of your posts.

First off, I wasn't saying that I thought Franklin would win state (and don't take that to mean I don't think it could happen, I'm just not going to out and say that) I was saying that to that point Franklin had played consistently against good opponents, just like many Middle TN teams have done. Obviously, my Rebels weren't consistent this past Friday night against ya'll.

Well you can compare it to weather. What's going to get the most air time, a warning for Nashville or a warning for Humphrey's County? Weird example, but obviously the Nashville one. They're Nashville stations. It's something we just have to deal with.

Yeah, I was so happy when I figured that out. I would be better if Franklin contolled their own destiny (which they do to a certain extent...they have to win out to get at least second). This week's match-up between Dickson Co. and Centennial is pretty big too. Although it doesn't really affect Centennial, but if they win, my whole Franklin winning the region championship scenario goes out the window. So I hate to do it, but I got to pull for Dickson Co. this week and next week against Brentwood.

Something tells me that Germantown will win this game. Obviously, being in Middle Tennessee I don't know too much about either so I guess it's more a hunch than anything else. (Me saying this with the week I've had with picks may bode well for Houston ) Regardless though, I'm scared for the Middle TN team that has to play them in the semi's.

Obviously any one of those 10 teams could win state...one of the teams with possibly the best shot is 10th. The playoffs are going to be really exciting, I can feel it right now. I mean, they always are but this year is going to be special. And don't take that to mean just because Franklin will be a threat. I haven't been this excited about 5A football in a long time. It's great with talent spread all over the state.

Well then let's hope that Franklin is back up in the top two by week 10!

You're talking about the case where Brentwood loses to Dickson County and Franklin beats Dickson County. All three teams would be tied and since they each beat each other...well here, I literally used fractions to solve this...Brentwood/Franklin; Dickson County/Brentwood; Franklin/Dickson County. Head to head doesn't work. You wouldn't be able to place them because Brentwood would be ahead of Franklin, but Dickson County would be ahead of Brentwood, but Franklin would be ahead of Dickson County. Did that make sense? Just stick with the fraction part. I believe I'm corect, but hey, it was 2 in the morning so I might be wrong.

Well Brentwood has a very good defense as well. Combine that with Franklin not having their best night (hello turnovers) and you get eight points. Dickson County will be a challenge, I'm quite concerned about that game actually. I hope you don't think that I think that the Dickson County game can be chalked up as a win because it can't.

However, we didn't talk about what we would post, Wes just happened to know that I knew did that, we didn't discuss that he would put it on CoachT though. It sure did look that way, didn't it? It is most difficult for Henry County to get into the playoffs (Kenwood, I believe, can't at all). Here's what would have to happen: Again assuming all goes right with Franklin, Brentwood, and Dickson County... Henry County would have to beat both Clarksville and Centennial and then have Clarksville beat Centennial to make the playoffs. Henry County would be 3-3; 4-6. Centennial would be 2-4; 7-3. Clarksville would be 2-4; 5-5. Best region record wins out, Henry County in. They control their fate up until week 10. It pretty much comes down to whether or not they both beat Henry County. If they do, then their game at Clarksville in week 10 is the deciding factor between who makes the playoffs and who doesn't. Winner goes on. This is based on the presumption that Franklin, Brentwood, and Dickson County are all in. Should Centennial, Brentwood and Franklin ALL beat Dickson County then there is a kink in the standings. Dickson Co. would be out based on the fact that the three (Clark, Cent, and D. Co.) are tied for third and they each beat each other. Dickson County would have the worse overall record at 4-6. Centennial would get third with their 7-3 record compared to Clarksville's 6-4. This is only if Clarksville beats Centennial. If Centennial beat Clarksville and Dickson County, then they are third, Dickson County fourth, and Clarksville stays home. There are other, wilder possibilities but Kenwood would have to beat Franklin and/or Brentwood for that, and that won't happen I don't believe so I'll leave those out. Ok, so I said Franklin would beat Brentwood, MBA would beat BA, David Lipscomb would kill BGA, that Franklin has the best fight song, and so on and so forth this week, but you think I don't know that? Oh who was up till 7:30am Saturday wondering if maybe my posts on the Brentwood-Franklin game made some BHS player play with more intensity? Yeah, me! Well I was actually doing playoff scenarios, but it sounded good, eh?

Can I make a rule that Franklin and Brentwood Academy can't be included so as to not create the whole "most punishing hitter" mess again? It would have to be whoever is most dedicated to the weight room durring the offseason, and spends they're time in the summer before practice starts in August in there. But I wouldn't know, so yes, inform us two bored people (me and wesvols who have way too much time on our hands) who the strongest team in the state is.
