Ok then C, who are your "great" teams that would be in the top 10? Also, have you been out to see the Rebels play? Or what about your "great" teams, seen them play? If you haven't seen them, you can't really make a judgement about them.

I have to agree with everything you said, Jared (hope you don't mind me using your name, but others have). I can see all the from the stands every Friday night, so it's obviously to a greater extent than what I see. One other thing that I've thought about it that there really isn't a superstar on the team, that the talent is balanced out well. Week 15 does matter, but I'm sure you're not looking ahead. What are your thoughts on Clarksville? It's a region game so it's obviously important. I think ya'll will do fine; come out storming like every other game so far. As for who I am, I'm pretty sure you know of me, but not sure if you like me that much, so I'll just remain annonymous so we can carry on on here civily.

I hope that last night's thrashing of Blackman has to proved to everyone that indeed the Rebels are a team to be reckoned with. While the offense wasn't as impressive as they have been the past couple weeks (not that they didn't do well), the defense was just amazing. You can't really name one Rebel that was better than the rest, they're all good. You have to give credit for the Rebels' success this season to the seniors. They want to take it to the next level and I think they're doing a pretty good job at that. This team deserves to be in the top 10 in the state. I'd be interest to hear what fhsTE84 has to say about why this Rebel football team is different from those in past years. This week they've got Clarksville. I've got a good feeling the team has already put behind them last night's big win and is focused on this upcoming game. Good luck to Franklin the rest of the way!

Wes, you know I've got nothing but love for ya man, but you're shortchanging my Rebels. First off, you keep on mentioning over and over again about Refugee, Green, and Andersen (maybe that's because those were the ones I told you to look out for, I don't know) but you're leaving out Ryan Nichols (WR), umm the Otey kid (his first name fails me right now but he's our RB), Chase Crawford on defense (I believe he's either a LB or DB), Jarred Holland (TE; made two big plays last week, including a TD) and I could go on and on. The Rebels are a force to be reckoned with. But I guess you'll see that after this week. I mean, have you not noticed all the hype about them? It's something you haven't seen from a Franklin team in years. I'd like to know the last time FHS got 20-some votes in the AP poll. Sure it was a while ago. Well, I don't guess I should question a genius like you when it comes to HS football, but really, give my Rebs some props. I know they're better than Dickson Co. and I'll refrain from comments about BHS...for now. Hope all's well with ya Wes, and keep up the great posts.

Well, I don't think history applies in this case. Blackman for all intense and purposes has no history and Franklin's team isn't a typical Rebel football team. Now whether they're better than Riverdale or Oakland, well, I wouldn't know. But I do know that they are pretty good. It has to be one of the most talented teams Franklin has had in a while. They can throw and run the ball well. Their defense is stifiling. Granted, they've only played three games, and they haven't been against the strongest opponents but still, you can tell a lot after three games, I don't care who you've played. OK, now that I've rambled on for a while, I'll say what I think about this Friday night. Franklin will be ready. They know that no one except themselves and some of their fans respect them, but I don't think that they care. Blackman will bring their A-game, but so will the Rebels. I would say that FHS will win by 1 to 2 touchdowns.

I have to agree...heck, I was one of them didn't give them any credit. I was already putting Franklin in the championshp game. I think if anyone can upset Bearden, big if, but if anyone can it will be Clarksville. Well, I guess that's kind of obvious now, but I think they do have a decent shot.
