The receivers will consist of returning starters Parker Pinnell and Michael Hawks and several younger players with potential that will need to step up. Also, Adam Neal will have to stay healthy for his senior year. He missed all of last year with nagging injuries, but he has good speed and is an athlete.
  2. Holy cow, are you serious? You are going to post about a freaking JV game that means virtually nothing. Especially when MJ's team is comprised of sophomores and FC's is made up of almost entirely freshmen. You need to stop with all the backhanded complements and condescension towards FC and worry more about staying in the good graces of the MJ faithful.

There are a lot of unknowns from our end. I stated in another thread that we don't have a big senior class and will have virtually no depth. Of course, this will probably be the case for most every team in our league. Webb is the big dog and until beaten they are the favorite to win it. If FC, DCA, or BGA want to make it to the Blue Cross Bowl, then we will have to go through some very good West teams and each other. I believe that a run is possible, but as you know, many things have to go your way. What does USJ, ECS, St. George's, and BGA return? That is not a question for you to answer but a simple question that I ask myself because I know nothing about any of them other than they are traditionally great programs.

Well, you know that Douglas (#15) will contribute because I believe he was a junior. I had heard that DCA had a really good middle school this last year, therefore, their freshman class has a chance to be pretty special. This coming year DCA has a chance to be pretty solid in my opinion. I agree with every pick you chose, but I think FRA will be very tough and Boyd won't be the usual challenge. Boyd lost 9 starters on offense and 10 on defense, while FRA returns a good portion of their team. I don't know much about FRA other than they were pretty young and have a good coaching staff. East Robertson and JCS are good additions to your schedule, which should equal wins, while I see the Friendship game being a usual battle royal. This is all speculation on my part, but fun to discuss.
  5. In no particular order here are the best that I have seen with my own eyes: Billy Williams, John Henderson, Eric Locke, Eddie Moore, Travis Stephens, Golden Tate, Ingle Martin, Patrick Turner, Shaun Summers, David Grogan, Jalen Hurd, and one obscure name Curtis Woodard.

Sackmaster50, how do you see the Wildcats being this coming season? What should be their strengths and weaknesses? How will they be compared to last season? I would think they will be better, which is saying something considering they went to the semifinals.

I didn't realize that Douglas went to USN. I knew that #22 went there, good player by the way, but he and Douglas are two very good players that DCA has gotten. That is a very good set up that USN/DCA has going, which has benefited the kids of USN.
  8. No, FC will not be playing in the Tobacco Bowl. I believe that we will be playing against Westmoreland in a joint jamboree.

Just out of curiosity, who were the players from USN last year? Also, your freshman class this past year was pretty good. It seems that DCA has some talent and size coming up.

How many players did DCA have on their team that went to USN this past year? How many might suit up for the Wildcats this coming season?
  11. How will BGA be in comparison to last years team? I realize that their record should be considerably better because of their schedule, but will they be a better team?
  12. I didn't realize that Blance went to Cumberland. That means he is over there with several of our boys, which includes Dekolas Reeves, our runningback from last years team. We are in the same boat as the Spartans, but it is the same issue every year, which is depth. This past year we couldn't afford to lose anyone and it will still hold true in 2013. The reason is because we only have 5 seniors coming up. They are not a bad class, they are just very small in numbers. I have always held the Spartans and Coach Meske in a very high regard and look forward to making our way to Knoxville. One of the things that I really like about Div II is how the coaches have set up the playoffs. The winner of the regions are not placed in the same bracket as the other two teams that make the playoffs from the same region. That means that two teams from the same region can possibly play in the Blue Cross Bowl. It got very frustrating knowing that we and Trousdale County were going to meet almost every year again in the quarterfinals.
  13. It is pretty obvious that Webb is going to be loaded this coming season. Everyone knows about Kelly Jr., but when I watched the championship game there were several other players that stood out too. I saw on Volquest that your middle linebacker was offered by Butch the other day. Congrats to him because he is one heck of a baller! Also, there was another sophomore fullback/linebacker that looked like a stud. The Spartans should be the favorite to win it again, but hopefully, we can give you guys a descent challenge.
  14. Speaking of lies. You constantly talk how FC recruits without any prof or examples, which is a lie. You stepped out there and spread the rumor that FC recruited a student/athlete, which you saw the picture of, but didn't realize the facts that it was not a violation because his parents had made formal contact with admissions. This was another lie you spread. Then, you spread the lie that FC was given the option to go DII or face probation by the TSSAA. You sure are good at spreading false accusations. I guess these example make you a punk! Your words not mine.
  15. You truely are the "Village Idiot." Volzchamp pointed out the names, without any help from me I might add. Bob 77 even admitted to your previous fortune at receiving transfers from the surrounding area. Keep drinking that blue cool-aid. Best of luck to JC girls at state. It is a shame that you can't get over the fact that your youngest played his last game in our gym. He was a good player too.
  16. Great post Diesel. I approve this message.
  17. What about the infamous pictures you saw with your own eyes? The Watertown fan that sent those pictures to the TSSAA didn't realize that the prospective student you are speaking of had already made formal contact with admissions. Therefore, it is not a violation. You must know the rules and situations before making accusations. I am sure this is not sufficient for you because you don't want it to be. Also, this absolutely ridiculous claim that the TSSAA gave FC an option to go DII or face probation is stupid and beyond false.
  18. You are the one not so long ago that went on and on about how JC has only won with "home grown talent." I knew you were full of it, therefore, I pointed out the facts and you went on a ridiculous tirad. With regards to our coach, I believe we will keep him. Shoot, he is the only men's basketball coach in Wilson County history to ever win a State.
  19. What!? But..but..but..they have always won with home grown talent. Ultimate hypocrite!
  20. I honestly don't know why people keep saying that Coach Martin got let go because he can't coach. That is absolutley not the reason and at this point it does not really matter anymore because I think that both sides would probably agree that they are happier now.
  21. Those kids are always given a hardship to play. I don't know why they are ruled ineligible. For example, Vic Wharton, 3 schools in 3 years and has not missed a game.
  22. These are all good points about Goodpasture. I believe that Goodpasture is an enigma at this point. Coach Mote is walking into a program that is somewhat divided right now and he will have some fences to mend. From everything that I have been told, Goodpasture will be very talented this coming year and will have a chance to win the gold ball, but the future is very sketchy. Will Coach Mote be able to bring this group together and keep other kids from leaving, which I have heard might become a problem.
  23. Actually, all he would have to do is move into Gordonsville's zone and he would be eligible. As far as the private school move goes, it is actually harder to leave and go to a private. There is a 30 mile (as the crow flies) radius move that must be made for a kid to be eligible. For example, more than likely, depending on where Manning lives in Smith County, even if he moved to Donelson and wanted to attend FC he would not be eligible. Because he might already live in our 30 mile radius. Sorry, it is much tougher to switch from public to private. Eligibility rules are some of the most misunderstood rules in high school athletics, which is understandable because they consistently change.
  24. I have really held back from saying anything on this forum, with regards to Watertown's record or schedule, but, since it has been discussed in such detail I will give my two cents. First off, I believe that Coach Bradshaw is a fine coach and understands the game of basketball. His teams have always played solid defense, which is the key to any team winning consistently. But, it is no secret that Watertown's schedule is weak and has been weak for the past 3 years. I never thought the schedules were very tough when he coached at FC, which I believed reared its head at the end of each season. I am a big believer in "iron sharpens iron," and a tough schedule is going to prepare any team physically and mentally in tough games. Now, I don't believe that every game should be tough because you can beat down your team, but playing 5-6 tough programs a year will only make you better. The Tigers have succeeded this season, but they have beaten 3 teams with a winning record and got ran out of the gym by the only team that I would consider good. More than likely they won't be prepared during that elimination game when it gets tight at the end. Reason, they haven't been in that type of situation all season and I witnessed it year after year at FC. Of course, I could be proven wrong and if so, then more power to the Tigers. But, it would be the first time that approach had been successful for Watertown. Please understand that this is not a knock on Coach Bradshaw because, like I said earlier, I believe he is a good coach, and every coach has to do what they believe will give their team the best chance at being successful. I just have a different opinion of how you get your team ready for the playoffs/tournaments.
