Morristown West has nine seniors that play regularly. They also have three superior juniors, which includes TSWA all-state first baseman Matt Spencer. He's already been to Georgia Tech's junior invitee day. He was the lone sophomore that made all-state. He throws in the upper 80's, but he will not pitch against Farragut. It appears their shortstop is going to sign with Appalachian State. I would not be surprised to see West defeat Farragut. They are solid. I watched them play Chattanooga McCallie and they pounded out 21 hits and scored 14 runs.
28-21 West..over Jeff County. It should be a tighter game. Meadows has changed Jeff County. They return plenty of speed. If Clay Farrar would have finished his transferal papers from New Jersey, they could beat West. But, since that fell through and he went to California AC High in Long Beach, West will win 28-21. They return too much on defense which should counter Jeff County's offensive speed.
Mr. Swain County, NC.
Bet against Swain County on this one. Plain and simple. Kaleb Goforth, Pee-Wee Fanney, Emmanuel Frederick, and a Alabama transfer all will start on defense. West 30, Swain 10.
Word on the street is that a coach from Virgina got the job.
That is just hear say though might be true but then again it might not be.
The guy was said to have won the 5A state championship twice in VA.
Morristown West will win the state..they only lose Carson-Newman football signee LaRue Isom on defense. Pee Wee Fanney led the state in sacks and he returns. As well as Emmanuel Fredericks and Kaleb Goforth. Imagine three black Urlachers running around. This is what you get.
