  1. The reason no one sees Cleveland plays is because they are always out of the playoffs before they start. Lets leave it to the 2003-2004 season. West loses one defender. With two out of state transfers. Including 6-5, 235 defensive end from Alabama. West will win the state. Mark it down.
  2. DUDE. Carson Newman has sent MORE players to the NFL than Tennessee Tech. Word on that, my brother.
  3. 4AFan. Please get a clue. Maryville is the ONLY team in 4-A that is better than West. And what. They are a POWERHOUSE.
  4. O.K. Box 48. Listen to this... Cleveland was the third choice for week 1. Tennessee High signed to play West week 1. They dropped out weeks later. Ok, Chattanooga Red Bank signed to play West week 1. They dropped out weeks later. Cleveland was open week 1. They said they would play. So, actually, if it was any one else besided Cleveland, they wouldn't play. Please Box 48 postal route. If you are going to claim facts, back em up. Word.
  5. How in the world can someone say that West plays Powder Puffs and plays in a weak region. Dude, Greeneville almost won the state two years ago. West afraid of Knox Central. WHAT. West is opening with Cleveland. OPENING. That shows me that they will play ANYBODY. The Chattanooga area is tons weaker than the East Tennessee region. NO ONE can defeat West in Knoxville besides Maryville. But, West has defeated Maryville before. WEEK 2 is open for West, if anyone wants to play, bring it on. When was the last time Cleveland did anything. The last time West played Knox Central they won with Dale Chrisman. Word.
  6. If Rogers was so great, he would have gotten the job over Wills at East. My vote goes to Spuck Stansferry of Morristown West.
  7. You have to take one major thing into consideration: Don Woods. He can lose an all-state running back in Chevez McCray and turn his back-up into an all-state running back Jay Walker. He can turn any strong band geek into a strong defensive lineman. As long as Don Woods is running the ship at West, the Trojans will continue to WIN. The talent level is stronger on defense this season. Their Defense will be just as good or if not better. On the offensive side of the football their main loss will be at quarterback and wide receivers. Their ground attack will still be strong. Whoever plays QB will have to step up. Without Drew Southerland, the ship is weaker. But, with Woods as the captain, it will always find gold and stay afloat.
  8. I seen him at Vince Redd's press conference with that pleather jacket on!
  9. Don Woods is like the coach on Varsity Blues. He wants that District Championship. Nah, the reason East sends players to colleges is the academic factor. Woods takes players that would normally not play and turn them into football Gods. He knows how to take any player and turn them into true players. With the Housing Authority/Projects laying straight in front of West, he has plenty of projects to build. Most of those players lack the academic standards. In this day and age, academics are huge in signing scholarships. Check Gene Johnson's and Chad Dailey's GPA's. They both had over 3.5's. Also, West does not contain superstars. The last superstar they had was Chevez McCray. He would have signed at UT, but he was kicked out of school a few years back. West is a balanced squad with no superstars.
  10. Adrian Wills. Former Single-A and Double-A catcher for the Atlanta Braves. He does not have a strong coaching resume, but his experiences in pro ball helps his attempts. Laid-back coach. Requires all players to attend FCA. Morristown East, West, or Greeneville will win the conference. All three of those teams are strong.
  11. Chuck Proffit was an All-American junior safety at Carson-Newman in the 80's. Ken Sparks quote about him was "He was the hardest hitter I've ever coached." He suffered a neck injury before his senior year at C-N. Proffit coached the West defensive backs with Woods until this past season at West. He took a job as a defensive backs coach somewhere close to Myrtle Beach, SC. The only thing I know about Lamar Brown is that he coached at Cumberland University for one season. He coached at West, left for Cumberland, and returned to West.
  12. East needs to get someone from West to run the show.
  13. When you try to run a home-grown product AKA Assistant Joey Woods out of town, you're bown to get sent packing AKA Randy Frazier. There is one man for the East job: A Craig Kisabeth/Dale Chrisman tandem. Together, they can lead East deeper into the losing abyss that they aleady dwell.
  14. Morristown East head coaching position is available. Big school with tons of athletes.
  15. Chris Ayers runs a mean 4-2 defense with 60 straight victories on NCAA College Football 2003. He owns a resume of 4 national championships in four seasons.
  16. If Ayers gets the job, Morristown East will capture the state within four years. But, he's probably out of their league.
  17. Word on the street is that Randy Frazier was sent packing. I wonde who will get this strong opening. Big school with super athletes. But, they'll still never hang with Morristown West. Word on the street is that Randy Sanders is coming back to his alma mater.
  18. Why go to Auburn and hope for the best. Ricky Upton of Jefferson City went to Penn State instead of going to smaller schools such as Vanderbilt. He figured he would eventually get playing time. His hunch was wrong. He had like 10 carries in his career and will be bagging groceries for a while. Stewart should see the writing on the wall. Go to Vandy 'start' and show your real skills. Because at Auburn, he's just another back. I see the point of you never know at Auburn, but Vandy is still a big Division I school. Hey, at least he'll get a degree from Auburn. But, he could help turn around Vandy quickly.
  19. How do you get there from Jeff County? Where is the school located. I need directions. Thanks
  20. Witten to Chicago with the fourth pick overall. Dream on.
  21. Yeah, I seen Jeff Arms dunk a basketball backwards with a car tied onto his back. It was awesome. He also beat Dominque Wilkins in one-on-one with the winner taking home the new Dee Brown pumps. I also seen Jeff Arms dunk the ball with his Arms hanging in the net. Oh, nevermind, that was Vince Carter.
  22. Does anyone know where Big Pun Barry Campbell of the state champion Morristown West football team of 1996 is? Did he sign with the Packers. He went and played at USC, but I have not heard where he is. Thanks
