no offense mailman but 5 out isnt the offense of the lady bears. why run an offense that the girls wont use in varsity. i can understand where ur coming from with 5 out but if a team is beating them so badly would 5 out really work especially a team as good as mj running back doors. i just think teaching a team to run 5 out that wont be needed is pointless.

this will be a great game saturday at 4. with the usa today coming out today it has mt. juliet girls and oakland girls 7 and 9 respectively in the south region. the winner of this game will join the top 25 in the nation real soon. so with that said im gonna pick mt. juliet by 20. seems that mj has gotten a few kinks out and seemed to play really good ball the other night against northeast

i disagree with people who think that this team runs up the score. the game in question with lebanon if im not mistaking, the paper says they only shot ONE three pointer the whole game. and i think if i were a coach on the opposite team and i was getting killed at half i dont believe i would like it if the team beating me so bad comes out and holds the ball for the majority of the second half. i think thats more unclassy then playing basketball and continue to score. i dont believe either, that teams who blowout teams benefits them either. granted they do get playing time and valuable experience, but they dont get to play against teams of their own caliber. but i dont know of any freshmen teams that are as good.

i think fryar is the best coach in 9-AAA. he took 3 teams to the state tourney. one of those teams was comprised of freshmen and sophmores and one senior. now it my book that team more then likely shouldnt have been there. i dont think wilson central accomplished this feat in their 3+ years. i give central credit they did make it to state last year, but thats pretty much all i give them. oh to help u out mailman05 the overall record between the lady bears and ur wildcats is bears 6 wildcats 1.

i know the game was never in doubt, but thats the worse performance ive seen from the lady bears in one half of basketball in quite sometime. three 10 second violations, didnt seem to hustle in the second half either playing very sloppy. i love this group of girls to death but i just hope the girls dont get a big head and think they will waltz away with this years crown because at this rate they will receive a wake up call and get beat by someone they shouldnt.

the last two years one of the games are close. in 2002-2003 season smyrna beat mj and only lost by 3 last year on mj's home court. from what im hearing smyrna will bring everybody back and even has a new player. i believe this is the first test of the season for the bears, yes i know people will disagree with me that it was shelbyville but i think this game will show how good mj is this year with it being the first district game of the season. i hope thats its not a close game but smyrna might slow down the tempo and try to control the game, but the bears the mighty bears win.

i went to the game last night and for about 90 percent of the game insell didnt put a body on gibson. i dont think ive ever seen that. someone who scores 32 points and hardly puts a hand in her face. and when he did for a couple of minutes that opened up the high low for mj. there is too many weapons on this bears team to double team someone the whole game. the negative thing that mj had last night in my opinon was the backside rebounding last night. mj i thought brought about a B game last night.

mt. juliet travels to shelbyville. Mt. Juliet the team to beat this year vs. shelbyville who lost a lot of fire power last year. is gonna be close? blowout? just trying to get peoples opinions

i believe the two schools canceled the dca friendship hall of fame game due to the lack of players on both teams do to football.

i think this year the battle for the golden ball will be decided in wilson county, with a possibility of an all wilson county final. with the starting five of mj coming back and the depth it has created with the emergence of megee and the pickup of vanatta who can shoot the rock fryar will be able to go deep in the bench this year with many weapons. and central who will bring back their best players in oconnell, gassie, and antone downlow. it should be an exciting two games between these two teams and possibly and district game and region game as well.

Lady bears i just want to say from the bottom of my heart im very glad to have been apart of this team this year. even though it had to end today i want to say i had a blast with yall. this is the first team i have been apart of that had this type of character. when things seemed so bleak toward the end of the season and everyone counting yall out all of you as a team came together no matter what your feelings were toward the situation and played as one. By doing this it shows me that yall will all grow up to be exceptional people one day and achieve in life. for the ones graduating yall have set an example on how to lead through the darkest times and the ones taking their places u must take the torch that was passed today and care it forward to a whole new year and era in mj softball. again i want to congratulate all of yall for making this a season an unforgetable one.

the play in game tonight between smyrna and mt. juliet is set for the first pitch to begin at 730 at the softball field in mj.

im not goin to take sides on this matter but a couple of weeks ago we were in the same position. we were bashing the players who quit the team. we all were saying that it was wrong for them to do this. now we are here bashing the coach. there is only 3 people who know the truth on what happened in the meeting between the coach and melissa. none of us know the full extent of the conversation that took place between the three of them and i am sure we probably wont. im just saying that it would be nice to know the full extent on the conversation they had on this topic before we all make a decision. im not saying what melissa is saying is false. it could possibly have been said. it would just be nice for everyone to not come to a hasty generalization.

someone please correct me if im wrong, mt. juliet has only given up 4 hits in the last two games. i believe they are playing exceptionally well, right now with two gigantic games coming up: today at white house and friday at home for the battle of wilson county against central.

pretentiousquip, i wish u would just shut up and keep your stupid remarks to yourself. i do not know what your vendetta is towards mt. juliet softball and i really dont care. right now you do not seem to know the up to date story in the life of our softball team. they seem to play very well and win they win tonight against wilson central i really hope you can stop bashing our softball team.

mj will bounce back from this. i promise this. This girls all year seem to have been willing to fight. they will fight and achieve. i know the incidents of the last couple of days have had an effect on the mj family. Though there is a time when its time to play. These girls are goin to hoover this weekend. they will succeed because i believe in this group of girls a lot and i know they will pass the test. i have a good feeling they will play as a team and will use this time to bond closer together and will take this weekend back to mj and will win some ballgames and surprise a lot of people.

mj can be a great team when they want to be. mj finally showed up and played liked they are suppose to play. yes amy eden hit one out in the first inning for mj. mj hit the ball sound all day. hendersonville didnt impress me very much or maybe that was just susan having a great game pitching.

i believe the lady bears will battle out of their hitting slump theyve been in and susan will regain her form from last year since she sorta injured her finger and couldnt pitch the first 2 games of the season. so i think mj will pullout an upset today.

heres my question to showtime how can dca be classified as a out of town school when its a private school.

i give Shelbyville credit they are a tremendous basketball team. though they have every right to be cocky right now. they are playin the best basketball in the state. but Shelbyville fans be forwarned. next year they gonna have to work for it. the situation will be reversed next year. mj and Wilson Central will have the two best teams in state i believe in any class. Shelbyville will have to work somehow to get back to dominance like they have had for the past decade. but i believe the golden ball for next year will run through wilson county.
