I hope everyone can give Dyersburg the respect they deserve. They have beaten some really talented teams so far this year. Also all the jcm fans that really havent given dyersburg any props u are just in denial that a team from dyersburg came to jackson and won. All I am saying is just give them so props because those kids deserve it.

You really dont have any idea about Dyer County football. It was not a dyersburg coach that won the state title at Dyer County it was Al Davis. He went on to play for another title but lost 6-3 in 1975. So before you open your dunghole you need to listen and learn from people that know what they are talking about.

beave what are you talking about dyer county high school has a long history of winning. Of the two high schools in this county Dyer co is the only one that has a state championship in football not the great almighty Trojans. So if you want to look at tradition then you need to get your facts strait. I know that dyer co has had a few bad years but overall dyer co has had more winning football teams than dyersburg could imagine

how in the world can you guys pick bolivar over dyer co. thats insane. dyer co. is the best team in the state outside of white station in any classification

big deal everyone knows that the real tournament happened at dyer county this past weekend. I would like to see how dyersburg would have done against the best in the state

Well I do not know butch hopkins personally i haved followed the dyer county choctaws since graduating in the 80's Butch you did one heck of a job by turning around a program always finished at the bottom of the ladder. You not only brought pride to your guys on the team you helped bring pride back into the orange and white. I made both trips to the tournament and the excitement that you created in this small town was extraordinary. It is a sad day in basketball but a sadder day in Newbern because we just lost the coach that brought a sense of pride to this town.

you two take the cake. Everyone in the entire county knows that coach coffman recruits. The year he went to dyersburg he took a girl with him that had been practicing at dyer co. V.S intials ring a bell. she came from a county school so dont give me the bull$%** about dyersburg not doing anything wrong. another reason why things are never done to dyersburg is because our county superintendant has no backbone to stand up and say what needs to be said about all of the recruiting that goes on. Granted Butch has done some questionable things while at dyer co but so has coach coffman.. And for those of you that thinks montrelle would be kicked of dyersburg team you are an idiot. He is probably one of the best pg in the southeast. So dyersburg fans you are getting your wish because from what i am hearing there will be an anoucement sometime this week about the future of butch at dyer co. I hope our kids respond accordingly by thrashing dyersburg really bad and never let up

People better get their shots in now because when Courtney Jones gets used to playing dyer co style of basketball then everyone in AA better watch out

Listen just because your team got beat dont start making excuses. You guys had a great year. Ridgeway is a very good team and deserve a chance for a state title as much as crockett does. So dont get on here and start making excuses, because that makes all fans from crockett look like sore losers

Wescharge I guess you are up to your old tricks and putdowns again. Montrelle has committed to play at MTSU. So Wescharge when the choctaws beat the h&%" out of westview this year I dont want to see you post any negative comments. Everyone knows the only reason so many people trash the choctaws is because they are fans of a team in their district and are very jealous that we have such a talented team. So Wescharge for goodness sakes dont start all this stuff again this year out of your blinding jeoulousy of the choctaws.

this is what is wrong with our sports programs in the state. I am sure the coach didn't mean to hurt anyone. The parents of this child need to allow the son to be coached and to know that not everything is going to go his way. I am a junior high football coach and I believe that the reason alot of our children are the way they are is because parents will not allow there children to handle controversy on their own. Parents always wants to blame someone else for their childs mistake please you people in that county let this rest cause it is setting a bad precedent for the kids of that county
