  1. Cascade may FINALLY get a win from the rockets (how long has it been?), but it won't come easy. Cascade deserves all the credit they are getting from the district and they are a solid team, but face it the rockets won the last game and you can't take it back. Ugly,or call it what you want a win is a win. Now friday will be a different story for both teams. Forrest will have starter Mikie Minor back in the line-up. Cascade on their court, homecoming, and the revenge factor. If the game is close I bet you know what will happen if Forrest has the ball and this time maybe Forrest want spot ya'll 2 points with a dumb technical like the last game. Good luck to both teams and if Cascade wins they will have earned it, won't be a cakewalk!
  2. I believe Forrest played 3 games that week as well, and starter Mikie Minor did not even play for Forrest. Don't make excuses for Cascade. Forrest started 4 sophomores and 1 junior and played a very smart game. Give credit where it is due.
  3. hey littlekyle this is 2004-2005 get out of the past. Coach Reasonover has taken his teams to the region with less talent than has ever been at Forrest. Now he has talent and will have a chance to make a run at the district title. You know nothing about the game or about his team, players, program. He now has all of Helton's group graduated and what he has now are his products even those freshman who he coached in 7th grade. Try to start something with another school or program because you clearly don't know Forrest girls!
  4. Maybe the best game of the year! Both pitchers showed great poise and heart. This was such a classic and it was hard to see either team lose. Summertown is a class act along with there coaches. Good luck Rockets with M.P.
  5. I agree with the first prediction, however if Summertown can score 6 runs on Minor they will also beat Mt. Pleasent in the finals. I'm not saying that they won't beat the Rockets 1-0, 2-1, but they won't put 6 runs on the scoreboard ( at least I wouldn't think so). These should be some good games. Good luck 11A!
  6. Congrats Coach Hardison and the Rockets! Sowhat if you were any kind of fan you would back your coaches just like lovethoserockets(always positive), and we do have fans that get a little(ha) excited (thats the Marshall County in us, some of you would not understand). Apsugov7, true school spirit, love it, but if you are a coach try to set better example for your athletes that do get on here and read all this and believe all this(just an opinion). Good luck in the regions Rockets and don't be satisfied with this district championship be greedy and try to win them all!
  7. I believe he hurt his arm at the beginning of baseball season before the first scrimmage. He was however practicing baseball on his own during basketball season and this could have resulted in the injury.

    Closers?

How many teams have a real closer that they use to seal the game? Or is it just another starter thrown in to close the game?
  9. They are young and talented. By tournament time they will be someone nobody wants to play.
  10. Minor ( from Forrest ) played that day against Mt. Pleasent. Pitched 3 innings, faced 9 batters, struck out 8 and the other out was a lazy pop fly to right field. He is the real deal!
  11. I'll tell you something else about respect. Middle Tennessee had the best group of A teams in the state. All the districts had teams that could've easily made it to the state if they were located in other parts of the state( east, west ). But also if my aunt had balls she would be my uncle so congrats to all teams and good luck!
  12. Well I will be the first to say this was a great game between two of the best teams in the state. Sad that one of them has to go home, but hats off to Summertown. Forrest was 7 of 16 from the free throw line which was the ultimate factor. No hating here, was a great game. Both teams played as hard as any team I have seen and Forrest you had a great season. Experience I thought of being there before gave Summertown the edge as well. Good luck eagles and Forrest you don't have to read all this crap on the boards, you did a heck of a job this year!
  13. Richland Raiders, oh I'm sorry they were never ranked, not even in the district lol.
  14. Go back to 2 officials then for every 3 games you would have 2 extra officials. Now there would not be a shortage of officials. There has been in the past , now, and will always be unhappy fans with officiating. But I think you multiplied the problems when you put more officials ( 3 instead of 2 ) on the court! But this is an endless debt that won't ever get settled until there is a system for grading the official. Here is a suggestion, pay the better officials more and the bad officials less and let them work their way up or down the pay scale.
  15. Congrats Jamar! You would be a welcome addition to any program and will prove Scott and all other doubters wrong next year. Let your playing do the talking for now cause you've got what you set out to get and now you can help your high school team reach its goals as well. As for Scott where do you play or should I say like to play?
  16. We all know running and jumping are the main ingredients. But do you consider shooting to be one as well? Many people get confused on who are good athletes, because you have some great shooters who are not very good jumpers, etc.... and vice versa. Can anyone be taught to shoot? Can you improve your speed, vertical jump, etc. on programs and now be considered an athlete? What about ballhandling or focus, are these ingredients to being athletic? What are some of your thoughts.
  17. Give him 3 years then make an educated judgement of wether he is doing a good job.
  18. I guess NCS is just overrated.
  19. It happens every night in the bleachers. Sideline coaches are still undefeated!
  20. Since you compare teams by the scoreboard, didn't the almighty Forrest beat FRA(with all their starters) by 13 and NCS beat them by only 8 (with 3 sarters out)? Find a new team to be thrashing you make no sense.
  21. The reason why there are 3 refs is so that one can watch the coaches at all times. We don't need three, and if they must have 3 put one on the clock to keep things really fair.
  22. I doubt seriously that any player on the bench is overlooked by the coach. They may not be good enough or ready for p.t., but a team is as only as good as its weakest player. You can quote that. The bench prepares the starters for the next game and most of the time they don't mind the starters whipping the other team instead of them day in and out. The real question is , how do you keep jealousy under control when all the parents want their child to be the star and there is obviously a player on the floor that is superior but lacks the support from his teammates?
  23. Dec. 2, Forrest at Cornersville, Cornersville won both last year and both teams are looking for a top spot in the district this year. Be there!
  24. Celina is good but when you beat Forrest at camp they had two sarters (1 three year starter and 1 two year starter) out because of surgery.
  25. I would think that it is easy to run this type of offense. Your going up against high school athletes with the same type of ability so no offense is going to be better. Most of these posts talk about programs not being able to run these sets because of limited athletic ability, but don't these teams line up against the same types of athletes for the most part? Teams with the most athletes usually win no matter what offense!
