  1. Hey fellas, I just want to wish both teams the best of luck, this 05 senior class for briarcrest is special to me, seeing as how i watched all of you grow up and now ya'll are about to play your final high school game. To both teams, play your guts out, give us a great show, because the game goes so much faster than any other game you've played before. Good luck fellas, be the second team to bring home a ring for us.
  2. Robert Towns, Melvin Cole, and I got invitations to participate in the one at Tennessee Tech, but all have declined.
  3. If you had to pick just based on raw talent, then you would pick James, there is absolutely no question. However, if you had to pick based on level of accomplishment, you'd be absolutely nuts not to pick Carmelo Anthony. He has a more complete game right now than Lebron, and has proven himself at a higher level. Lebron, however, is phenominal, not only from the physical aspects of the game, where he is amazing, but from the mental perspective as well. Its impossible to foresee what the future holds, but if both continue to work and improve their games, we could have some great ESPN classic material on our hands, like back when Magic and Bird played in all of those finals matchups.
  4. All I have to say is this: If you take a physically gifted player who has the drive and intensity that made the great ones great, and pit him against a smaller, yet evenly tenacious player, it will not be pretty.
  5. Im very flattered by the attention that has been brought to me, and I will answer all of the questions that you have for me, I just don't feel comfortable doing it on such a public forum, you can instant message me at IamSuperman66, or e-mail me at IamSuperman66@yahoo.com, but it feels too much like being a braggert posting my personal info on here, hope to talk to you soon. P.S.- By the way, Harding University is NCAA Divison 2, they are in the Gulf South. [Edited by JAC6603 on 3-6-03 6:42P]
  6. I've heard that there is a possibility that Briarcrest could become the 2nd seed in the regional tourney with a win at CBHS tonight, which is never easy to come by...is this true at all LionBoy, you are pretty up to snuff on the district standings.
  7. Josh was a stud, I love the way he played. Jared Johnson, his younger brother, has decent size, and good hands, he caught a 33 yard pass against us in the state championship game.
  8. Antoine Scott, without a doubt, the most highly recruited player in Briarcrest history. Went to Ole Miss, where he was a 2 year starter, despite receiving offers from NCSt, FSU, UT, and several others, he was a man amongst boys. Currently playing Arena Football, and preparing himself for the NFL combine in May.

We have a coach stand on each side of the person squatting who watches the person get their legs to a 90 degree angle. Could you explain what beepers are to me, I've never heard of those, and I would like to know more. I also would like to hear of some impressive power clean numbers, beacuse that is probably the most important lift for football.

I have no clue how much more I could go up, but I know that my coaches still do not believe that I have reached anywhere near my potential, I'll just continue to work hard, and hopefully once I get past this tendonitis I'll be able to get back to work.

This is Justin Currie, I dont know who the kid is, so I cant say he has seen me squat that much, but the story is true. At the beginning of summer workouts, I parallel squatted 605, not 635, in front of our entire upcoming team. Leg exercises have always been my thing though, and I have worked very hard to achieve my goals, so I honestly would appreciate it if you guys wouldnt bash them. Thanks. Oh, as a side note, I will tell you it was a 45 lb bar, our licensed strength coach, who is also our DB coach was there, and I had 6 45lb weights on, as well as a 25 lb weight, you guys can do the math, and feel free to correct me if I am wrong. 13. Might I remind you that I have no friends at MUS, not to mention that fact that I am a minority, and that if I thought that they were trying to do such a thing that I would be the first to critize their motives and actions. Secondly, I despise MUS fans almost as much as I despise your fans, I mean, really, you act as if you do no wrong, you don't harass or attack opposing fans or other student sections, which is ridiculous, I mean, everyone on our bench last week said that yall tried to get something goin about me being "Fat," which is hilarious because if you've ever seen me, you know that I'm not. Finally, I would just like to say that Trey and I are good friends and for you to say that I would gang up with other private schools and bash Harding is stupid, b/c I have friends over there, even though I despise the greater portion of you. 14. I am not an MUS fan AT ALL, I just want to get that out there right now. I too, agree, that if they were to be making fun of a specific group or culture of people, that it would be wrong, and if I had heard from an MUS person AFTER the game about their decision to dress that way, then I would be right with you rallying for some sort of apology or anything of that sort. It was a theme for their homecoming week, "Nellyville," but they decided that was too racist, so they changed it to, "Dress as your favorite rapper." Now guys, keep in mind that I heard all of this BEFORE the MHA/MUS game ever started, so it still could've been a cover-up of an intended bashing of urban culture, but the girls at Hutchison's theme was "Baywatch," so you make your choice.
  15. All laser times add .24 seconds to whatever the actual time was, just so they could get as "accurate" as possible. So maybe a guy like Donte Stallworth, who I think is just a freak, could actually be alot closer than we think at breaking the 4.0 to 3.9 range.
