Scottr77. Find it interesting that u joined 4 wks ago and you only post on this board about coach at Alcoa getting fired. You wouldn't be or related to a local coach who has been rumored to be lobbying for the Alcoa job even though it is not open. Just curious. Tony Jones screwed up Alcoas program and current coach is trying to fix it. Anyway Alcoa job will not be open this year as for the most part folks that need to be happy with coach are.

Order is not important. Teams that lost first round are in the bottom 4. Teams that lost in semis are 3 and 4. They will not have an opportunity to win the championship or runner up trophy. CPA can't be second cause they aren't playing in the championship game.

Based on state tournament carter can't be in top 4 cause they didn't make semi finals. Remember this board is based on state tournament.

Uptempo last year doesn't count. This year Fulton won twice. Since this is a AA state board Region championship is nice but doesn't win games in the state. Best AA in east Tn is Fulton. Best program is Fulton. 21 state tournaments. 2 runner ups and 2 state championships. Mike best two teams in AA state tournament are Haywood and Fulton. Haywood obviously overlooked Carter last night based on performance today beating best team money can buy CPA. Here is the summary thus far. Bottom 4 5-8. Branerd, Chat. Central, Creek Wood and Carter. Next two 3-4. CPA and Ripley. Top 2 Haywood and Fulton. That's the facts without question.

Can't agree with that. most likely the 7th or 8th best team. Not better than fulton based on head to head. Memphis teams/west Tn plus CPA will dominate all three classes.

Fulton was able to advance over creek wood ateam that had lost only one game this year. Fulton moves on and it gets harder. Carter on the other hand had a great change to win but was unable to hang on. Appears the system in good for getting a lead but not so good at holding on to one. Not the first time this has happened this year vs quality team. Good year for carter now back to strawberry plains and baseball.

Good question bout Boilstone. Why did he leave Ga. Made more money more talent? Already having issues with parents at Carter. Had a run in with a player from another team during Christmas tournament this year. As far as talent at Carter. Bull developed that talent during that 8-22 season. 3 starters from this season started or played big minutes on that 8-22 team as sophmores. A 4 th starter on Carter's team this year spent 3 years being developed by Coach at Fulton. If Boilstone stays at Carter he is interested in building a program. But I think after state tournament he will move on. AE what talent is going elsewhere? Best two players in down only standouts are at Carter. We're they supposed to be a AE. Or is AE looking for a Coach to recruit a team. Let's face it AE isn't what it used to be during the john foster era. Higgins at Central more familiar with. Strong disciplinarian. Very demanding academically. Talent at central is ok. Will have a solid program over time. Central never had been very good. I look for Higgins to establish himself and move on but I don't think it will be AE. Let me apologize in advance if I offend anyone.

Another great year but Carter has no chance. Haywood will win and it could get ugly. West Tn teams are a different animal. One and done for the Hornets. Just like last year.

Didn't mean to make you guys mad. Maybe elizabethton did make Fulton look like a middle. School for 3 qts building a 5 point lead. So what did fulton make elizabethton look like in 4th qt put scoring them 25-6. By the way there is a girls board to talk about your outstanding girls team.

Big Bama-don't think fulton came to impress anyone just win the game. Law- anyone without their best player would be in trouble this time of year. Tab- fulton small can't shoot but kicked cyclones tale. What's that say bout Betsy. Good luck to your girls team.

If williams doesn't play. Betsy should be very disappointed if they don't win. Saw fulton play catholic and williams scored 14 in 4 th qt. without him catholic wins going away.

My point is simple. Talent was there. Bull had developed it. He went thru the growing pains of playing those guys as freshman and sophomores. Not saying Boilstone hasn't done a good job. What I am saying is the process now starts over with far less talented Freshman and Sophomores coming up. Don't think considering all the issues this past year he will be willing to hang around and take his lumps. Kirk had a similar situation at Alcoa this past year. Took his lumps with lots of young talent. Looking to reap the rewards in the future. Do you think Alcoa needs a new coach to get them over the top.

Not hating at all. Coach stepped in to a ready made team. Coach Bull had went through the growing pains with Carter previous two years. They were going to be good talent was in place. That's not saying Boilstone has done a good job. Just don't see him hanging around and going through a painful rebuilding process.

Halls: Has done a great job at Halls with little talent. Son graduates may be on the lookout for a more basketball friendly situation. CAMPBELL Co. Underachieved last couple of years. Randy Moore has that talent and makes a run this year. Alcoa this is a 50-50. Talent is young but standards are high at Alcoa. Look for Alcoa to be improved next year. Will it be enough to satisfy the Alcoa faithful. West its looking now like Coach will hang on for did a nice job with young team. Has good talent returning. Central Coach will be sought after by area teams that are looking for Coach. Simply due to his background. Carter has done what is expected with a very talented if not the most talent in the history of carter basketball. Has had several run ins with parents, players from other teams, and coaches. Not sure any coach wants to contend with those issues. Add that to the fact Carter's talent will be at an all time low after this year. Not sure if Jv or freshman teams won a game.

This has to be one of the all time best post on coach t. You hit the nail on the head. State wide everyone knows what CPA is. Everyone knows that Drew Maddox is a hypocrite and the program is a shame. One of my greatest joys was watching Southside beat them last year.

Heard Carter was able to come away with a win against Fulton tonight. Final margin was about 10? Also Fultons ptg went out with an injury early. But you want hear the Falcon fans making excuses about being shorthanded "uptempo". You want hear them say they gave the game away "uptempo". Because of the class of their program they will shake your hand say congratulations and move on. But here are the facts. First game. Fulton walked the dog on Carter by the tune of 55 pts. Second game. Fulton won at Carter. Game three Carter won. The end period!!

My son n law took me over to fulton for the games. Fultons #30 is very good but they have others that chip in. Catholics #1 is just as good in a different way. This was a very good game. Q both teams missed a bunch of FT's. Carter and CAK was a different story. CAK was out classed. Carter is for real. Jackson and Bowden were by far the best players in the gym tonight. Number 11 and 32 pitched in. Depth is a concern for them. CAK didn't have any players that showed very well. It appears that the carter players were allowed to travel a lot when they went to the goal. Tomorrows game between carter and fulton may be interesting for a while. But I look for Carter to pull away and when by 10+.

Ok OR boys advance. The other games halls heritage, central Bearden and Maryville karns have yet to play. On the girls side. Farragut advanced Bearden advanced. Halls William Blount yet to play. What's the other girls game. Is there a schedule for these games yet.

This being said think Carholic will advance with a hard fought win over Fulton Looks like Alcoa gave one away. Carter escaped. CAK took care of AE. All knox co schools out reseed with 4 remaing teams move on. Agree said McIntyre needed to go before this debacle.

Mountaineer u r correct. Lol. Will heritage be hosting halls tonight. Have pretty good info that McIntyre was the reason games weren't played on Thursday or Friday last week. With more bad weather predicted doesn't look good til Friday. I live within walking distance of Knox Central and it doesn't look good for school being in session tomorrow. So if Dr. McIntyre holds to his policy no games tomorrow night. Bad weather predicted for Wednesday evening and night so possible no school on Thursday so possible no games Thursaday for Knox Co. At this point if Knox Co is holding up completion of Region Tournament T$$AA should make them forfeit and tournament move on.
