Very impressive drive for Gordonsville to go up 21-14 with 8 seconds left. #10 Holt gave his best Derrick Henry impression on that drive. He was an absolute beast that couldn't be stopped and had 21 carries in the second half.
Smith County's new region will certainly make coaches think long and hard about taking the position in my opinion. I'm not sure how excited anyone would be to travel East Nashville, Stratford, and Maplewood.
Great news. Those responsible for the initial decision should be tarred and feathered. Literally making a decision about a game two weeks away, or at least it was when the decision was made is absurd. Lots of different routes to go before making a decision that would forfeit the season.
24-0 at half. Didn't see the first half going like it has. It will be interesting to see what adjustments are made at half by Livingston to try and slow DeKalb's passing offense.
Looking at common opponents doesn't make DeKalb look like the favorite. A one point win against Stone Memorial and a loss to Upperman vs. Livingston beating Upperman and Stone Memorial by 22.
King you bring up a very interesting stat. I have watched several of these games over the years and from the stands it always seems like Livingston is the more physical football team. I have said it before concerning DeKalb, but I feel like they struggle against physical football teams. This year they got a couple guys on the line that could shut down the Golden Corral. How physical is Livingston this year? Will homecoming be a distraction for DeKalb.
What are your thoughts on this game. I know Clay Co has a big senior class and I feel Gordonsville has been battled tested in the games against Watertown and Trousdale.
