  1. AMEN!!!!! MRHUSTLE has got it right. you don't question the coach, you just play and do what he says. basketball and sports in general should teach young men/women self-confidence and respect. if all they hear is how bad the team is or how bad the coach is they are only learning to make excuses for everything. have some faith. i am from clarkrange so i have been to alot of games. coach pile is a good coach. cut him some slack. he has done a fine job with these young men. for all of you who want to "question" every move he makes try coaching for yourself then come and comment on that. why don't you try supporting the team and leaving the negative stuff in the garbage where it belongs.

  3. i wasn't singling you out MRHUSTLE this was just the last post on here so i used it. no harm done. i was speaking to everyone...clarkrange, rbs, everyone. so my bad on that. i just get sick and tired of all the bashing sometimes. anyway that game tonight was great. both teams seemed to play pretty well, but it looked like the leonard girl got a little frustrated down low. i was impressed though.
  4. I hate it when a post about a basketball game gets turned into something completely off kilter.... just go watch the game, see what happens, come back and talk about it. talk a little smack before the game if you need to, but for pete's sake don't start singling out people or coaches. jim brown and lamar rogers are both fine coaches and any team in the state would be LUCKY to find a district with as much talent as this one has. as for what this post is supposed to be about... i hope this game is as good as the last one. it's going to be close, but i am going to give the home team this one by 4.
  5. this was a hard fought game and really came down to the last few minutes. i felt the refs let the game get a little out f control in the end which led to frustration and probably the intentional foul. 7a is well represented this year. not saying you do..just a word to the wise: just don't get the "big head" after this win rbs. you guys are good just keep your head on straight. i am really impressed by the eighth grade girl. she is carrying this team right now.
  6. I don't think it's the fact that rbs choked in the past maybe it could have been that clarkrange had the better team that year at tournament time and had a bad night at rbs..either way it doesn't matter that is in the past. what does matter is that rbs is looking impressive so far this year and even though i couldn't make it to the game it sounds like they have the better team of the two rightnow. congrats rbs. looks like there are gonna be some great games in the district and especially in the tournament this year.
  7. i heard pickett won...not sure on the score though
  8. you are right S.O.S..... both teams showed some potential, but were very rusty... hey did anybody else notice that oliver springs' coach looked like beth from dog the bounty hunter? anyway good luck to both teams this year....
  9. I have not heard any other team complain this much about the hospitality of Clarkrange in all the years i have been here. It is an older school and that's what you get. Don't complain and make excuses just deal with it. You do make a very good point though... you all wouldn't have won with those things.
  10. An attitude like that is prob. what got Pickett Co. beat at Clarkrange. You can't go into the season "knowing" you are going to win every game or you get lazy and don't play hard. You boys need to take it one game at a time and you will win alot more that way. I hope a team from 7A does go to the 'buro, and Pickett prob. has as good a chance as anybody. Good luck and I hope you guys get more focused.
  11. Oneida always has the refs in their pockets anyway. Last year was horribly called...especially with the foul at the end. Sounds like tonight was a good game. I would love to see these two teams play on a neutral court to see which really has the better team. Good job on a big win oneida.
  12. You should go Old School Baller.... you have never seen anything like a Clarkrange home game especially when they play Clay Co. or another huge rival team. Those two have got to be one of the best rivals in the state.

    7A

Roddy started off for pickett co., but in the 4th or 5th they brought in luke mason and then lance. Bowman pitched for clarkrange. I was proud of our team (clarkrange) this year. I hate that it eventually came down to an ump's call which alot of people said he messed up, but it doesn't really matter because it's over. Good luck to the rest of 7A in district and region.

    7A

pickett co. beat clarkrange 8-7 and clay co. beat hermitage springs 14-0. good luck the rest of the way to both teams.
