  1. Just take a look at the city high jump results in the paper tomorrow. Smith's vertical is 36 inches and he beat Rogan by 8 inches the first time in the high jump. Probably the same tomorrow. Not a chance Rogan has a 41 inch vertical.
  2. He didn't get ejected from the game. The ref made him sit out because he said he was going to jump over the pile again and the refs didn't want that to happen anymore. They just said he needed to leave the field. He isn't missing any games next year because he was ready to appeal if they filed a complaint to the TSSAA but the refs never did. Way to go on the scholarship offer!
  3. I'm pretty sure they selected the teams on Monday. But I don't know when they actually release the teams. But I know it will be soon because I've already heard of some people on the teams.
  4. Fulton didn't have a bad game against Catholic. Catholic just did a good job of preparing and new how to stop them if you would have watched both games it was clear that Catholic made changes and Fulton just thought they could come in and run the same stuff. And i wathced the championship game Catholic was way better than Lipscomb just because they played in the championship doesn't mean that they had a better team then Catholic. From the looks of it, it appears they played in a weaker region.
  5. Anyone from Catholic know if the BBQ will be available before the game again? If so, what do you get and how much does it cost? Can us guys from LA get it too or is it just for KC? There should be bbq before the game. There has been every home game this year including last week against Fulton. I'm not sure what it cost. I want to say 5 for some reason but not positive. It usually has potato salad or cole slaw with chips and a drink. I do know that everyone is welcome to eat. Looking forward to the game.

  7. Oh I hear you I wasn't trying to say turnovers aren't a part of the game and mistakes don't happen but those were Harrison's first two fumbles of the year and he only had two more all year both against Scott. Catholic is just so disciplined that they normally don't make mistakes like that, but yes Livingston had a big part in causing those turnovers as well. But as I see it if Livingston just runs the same sort of formations as last time Harrison will probably be moved to outside linebacker instead of cornerback giving Catholic a lot more size and speed inside to defense the option. If you didn't get to see any highlights of the Catholic-Fulton game one of the biggest plays of the game was when Fulton had the ball at midfield 3rd and 2 and tried to run a quick pitch to Rogan who was on his back as soon as he touched the ball. I know what you mean about no one thinking LA could get this far because at the beginning of the year I didn't even think Catholic would do as well as they are doing.
  8. QUOTE(Rocking Chair @ Nov 15 2005 - 05:48 AM) Any Catholic fans out there? What's your take on this game? Besides hoping caddy comes out on top!!!! Being a Catholic fan I am going to pick them to win and I know everyone for LA is going to do the same, but my reasons for taking Catholic are that they are hitting on all cylinders and the coaches are going overboard on preparation. They're not the kind of team to take anyone lightly especially 3rd round of the playoffs. From what I saw last time they played Livingston looked way too one dimensional but so did Catholic and I don't know how Livingston is playing now but it sounds like they are keeping with the same type of scheme. I believe Catholic will have to make mistakes like last time for Livingston to have a chance (two fumbles on two plays late in the fourth quarter). As far as the tight end #81 over the middle they won't be running that play that was put in for Fulton because that is the only pass of the season they have thrown to a tight end (in fact i think that was the first route they've run with him. But I'm looking forward to seeing the game this friday, #8 for livingston can definately play. Best qb in the region in my opinion.
  9. The game really wasn't close but Catholic made a lot of mistakes which made it get out of hand. No they weren't going to win the game anyway they were totally outplayed but it should have been closer. I've got a feeling this game will be a lot closer this time
  10. Can anyone tell me who made the team i can't find it anywhere. Thanks for any help.
  11. I agree that a high school kid can't stay away from the spotlight but Cruze handled this in the wrong way. There are tons on kids that quit there teams and they aren't written about in the paper. It's ridiculous, the only reason they wrote about it is b/c of his dad and everything in Knoxville is about politics most of the time. Everything is hype. Now dont get me wrong Kyle can shoot the ball but he can't play major division one ball like he thinks he can. his coach was being realistic and i believe he had the best of intentions for kyle. he will definately regret this down the road and the main point is like everyone has said, he let his team down and i wouldn't want someone like that on my team.
  12. in my opinion mccallie will be on top of the east this year. i think suddaths hot streak will continue throughout the season. although hes playing like he always does. he is one of the best shooters ive ever seen. losing fehr from last year will hurt inside a little but they will have a post step up. i dont think anyone from catholic or webb and probably baylor can stop him. notre dame has the best chance. i havent heard anything about tony fox but even without him they will be good. it will just be more shots for bowman. they lost victor mansure who was a good shooter and ballhandler but the two twins should make up for his production. they are a quick team and are possible of beating anyone. baylors go to guy will be jonathan adams. hes a very good 6'5 sophmore and will be the key to their success. they lost willie idlette their lightning quick point guard. their coach is so good that he will find a way to make up for it. tindell should also be a key contributor. catholic is young with the exception of franklin and davis. they will be the key to their success. they lack size too but are pretty quick. they will definately compete. webbs two strongest players are brandon berry and aaron frazier. they will have to carry the team but i dont think they are quick enough or big enough to really compete. 1. Mccallie 2. Notre Dame 3. Baylor 4. Catholic 5. Webb
  13. Catholic beat Cosby by 30 this year and Mcgaha only scored 4 points and had a lot of turnovers. plus he was only like 5'6 and couldn't get off a shot when he was in trouble.
