I hit .472 last year. .500 does sound pretty high, but if anyone around here could do it, it would be Amy Hutchins. Where is she going to school?

I hope you aren't talking about me. I wasn't being mean about the sting, and I apologize if it came out like that. One of my friends had a bad experience with the sting, and the other one didn't have much fun. Nothing bad, just stating the facts.

umm Cornpup, I'm not trying to be rude....and I don't know where you are from, but obviously you don't know me. I don't walk around bragging about things. Especially not beating a team one time. In the 4 years that I have played, I think any team in this district would consider beating Beech an accomplishment in their own right. It doesn't happen too often. I am not on the firebirds, and have not been on the firebirds. I'm not saying that every girl should hate Sting and love the Firebirds, although thats what you have turned it around to be. People are different, therefore they like different qualitites in a coaching staff, teammates, and style of playing. If everyone liked one style of playing, there would only be one softball team in the world and there would be no one to play. Soooo Lonely.

I played with the firebirds in that tournament.....it was a warm up tourney for our trip to West Palm for the Nationals..... I do not need a summer team, I've got one, but thanks anyway. 2 of my best friends played for separate sting teams and neither one of the enjoyed it much. And by the way, it wasn't in the last 2 years that We beat Beech. I'm a senior, you know. It was my freshmen year. [Edited by 2Shooter4 on 1-30-03 9:56P]

We've caught them before and we'll do it again. If we don't do it this year we won't. I don't think people realize the talent on our team. The freshmen we received this year are better than the seniors we lost last year. What summer team are you associated with?

FPFanatic I am upset with the fact that you think that LaVergne will only go as far as your pitcher can carry them. You watch and see....we carry each other, we are a team, not a pitcher. What school do you support? [Edited by 2Shooter4 on 1-29-03 8:51P]

I agree. If my parents had saved every penny they spent lodging, feeding, and travelling, we would have enough money to send me to college. On the other hand I would certainly not be the person I am today without the experiences I have had and the friends that I have made along the way, and now a school is paying for my college, not my parents.

I'm not trying to be mean, but if you don't like the thread why do you keep looking at it? As long as they aren't saying anything profane I see no problem in what they are talking about.

The Beech tournament is a classic, I'm not sure if anyone will want to go anywhere else. It is a tradition to freeze your rumpus off next to a creek and stand next to a heater in between innings!

The football coach did not have the team last year. They had a new coach, but there were no real changes to their record. They have a nice field, but whenever we play against them we always have to play on a slowpitch field near the Smyrna airport. It is an unfair advantage. I have hit many a ball against them that would have easily gone out on a regulation field.

I agree with alliegator as well. In most cases, if a softball coach with any recognition comes out looking for a job, schools SHOULD jump at the chance. There are a lot of schools out there with uneducated coaches.

Hey Cutter its Tiffany, let me tell ya, I know from experience that knee injuries stink, but you're the toughest person I know, you won't have any problems, and you will be back faster than they say you will.

I, too, have been begged almost every year. In fact I found out a few weeks ago that it was rumored without even asking this year that I was playing for them. I guess they started this rumor to get more people to play with them or something. I don't know.

Tell us if you figure out when it will come on. I'd love to see it.
