Region4fan....when i say Jr's i mean the ones who were sophmores this year. And Sr.'s as the Crawford class. I don' think that the seniors(the crawfords and company) are going to go newhere. I think all of them will stay. They have been playin together since freshman year and befoer, and have enjoyed success every year, and i think they realize that OHS is going to be the place that has success next year, not Siegle. Now Siegle might, but i think that OHS has a much better chance of winning. I am almost 100% sure that the coaches are here to stay, unless something has changed their mind over the break. I dont think the lure of having a new school with new computers and such is enough to take them from oakland. and your right, Rhodes is also very expensive..about the same as sewanee...27000 a year...but ur actualy the first person that i have talked to that knows about it...people have heard of it and know where its at,but nothing about it. I am excited about my visit up there. As for Maryville, i havent gotten anything from them. I know ur right about the money...they do tend to give more financial aid than Sewanee or Rhodes. I know somebody who plays up there...and he likes it ok. The only thing is, they are in about their 10000000th straight "rebuilding year"..lol...j/k..but they didnt win a game this year, and havent been good anytime recently...and i do kinda want togo to a school that wins. Rhodes may not be the best, but they are starting to win more and more each year, and thats what i am looking at. So yea, i will keep u posted on the situation.

I totally agree with you about the Jr.'s wanting to leave. I dont know why they would want to. The thing with Daryal Smith though, is he is only going to be a sophmore, so he has no choice. As far as Coach Euverard, i think he i coach. I love him. I know alot of the guys wanna go to Siegle b/c of it being new. You know what i mean.New and better stuff than OHS has.also, alot of their friends who dont play football who may go to SHS. There may be a few who leave b/c they dont like coach U,but other than that i woudl say they want to go to a new school where alot of their friends are going. As far as the coaches, i havent heard of any of them wantin to leave. all of them love it a oakland. I still havent decided wheri want to go play next year. I really want to go to sewanee, but i really cant afford to go. They would give me Financial Aid, but not eno ugh. But I am taking a visit to rhodes later this month, and bethel wants me to come up for a visit. There are also some schools in Kentucky and Indiana that have expressed interest So i have options, the only thing is the money. so if i cant get enough money, i will probably end up at UT or MTSU.

Well, if they do i the way they did for blackman, then the upcomming Sr's and Jr's will get a choice to stay or go. But i have heard alot of Jr's say they are going to go to Siegle. I can't understand why though. I think next year oakland will be the team to beat in the region.All they need to do i to find 3 good o-linemen and a like 2 Devensive linemen. As far as the QB u speak of, Daryal Smith, i have heard that he is going to Seigle. But, i havent talked to him about it or anything like that. I am sure when we get back to school, coach Euverard will say something to the football players about who is goin and who is staying. As for Coach Euverard, i dont expect he'll be going anywhere. I talk to him all the time and he has said the only reason he would leave is if there was a problem between him and the new Principal.

Well, i am back one more 'gin for the new year.....I can tell yall this...Oaklands new principal is from what i hear is either a Mr. Herbert, or i hear they may promote Mr. Tackett up....lets hope that dont happen...lol...and i also know oaklands schedule goes as follows(in order) Brentwood Academy LaVergne Frnklin Wilson Central Lincoln Co. Blackman Riverdale Lebanon Seigle Smyrna I think that is right..Seigle and Lebanan may be switched, but i know t he rest is prety much rigt.

Ya, i really like it there. the campus is beautiful. I will probably go there if i can get enough financial aid. its 28k a year, and with my Bro at UT, thats alot of dinero. You know. As for our banquet believe it is the end of January....not for sure though.

Right now i am not real sure about were i wanna go. i got several schools that want me to come play, sewnee and rhode among them. Cumberland College and Missoury Valley College also. Samford also expressed interst. So as of now i am not real sure.

Hey, i know from Oakland the all region players were....Chris Hill, John Carter,Calos and Maurice Crawford, and luke Barber. Nope i didnt get it but i dont really care. I played the game to win and to continue my football career. Fortunately, I will get a chance to play next year, even though we didnt will it all. But i was not playing this year just to make all region. Oh yea, and Carter got the D MVP.

How is me thinking riverdale will win, but wanting blackman to win absurd???? I want blackman to win. They CAN win. But, i dont think they will. They would have to play flawless and riverdale would have to make mistakes. I am going for blackman b/c i went to school with, and played with, lots of players on that team. I would be thrilled to see them win. but again, i think riverdale is too strong. In order for blackman to have a chance, the offensive line, led by my good friend brad at center, will have to execute. But i think the rhs d-line is too much for them. Dude, i am not even gonna argue with u. You cant say that you were the better team last year. If you were the better team, then you would have won. as far as u playing against bhs and rhs, i highly doubt it. If you would have, then you wouldnt be soo bent outta shape with one persons opinion. Your right, Buford is getting some d-1 offers, but he dont deserve them. I mean, he is good, but all he did against oakland was held the defensive ends and tackles so they couldnt get by. He is just big and gets in the way. Johnathan Carter from oakland put him on the ground on several occasions.i'm not trying to say he shouldnt be recruited for college, just he aint as good as people make him out to be.....he aint ohio state material. Plus, he is goin to MTSU(i would bet alot if i was a betting man) b/c of his dad. He was an all-american there.

Sorry to have to inform of this, but almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. Bottom line is, last year yall got beat and put out. This year, it wasnt even close. So before you get on here talking about last year, think about this years earlier game. Just b/c u are up on a team and almost win dont mean nothing. Oakand was up at blackman and riverdale this year, but lost. What does that accomplish? Nuthing. Truthfully, i just think that everybody needs to forget what happened in earlier meetings. There is nothing you can do about a lost game. Look forward. If everybody in the world believed that riverdale would win, it wouldnt matter. Thats why you play the game. so just forget all this crap about last time, last year, and just shut up and go out there and play the game.

Slim, your right. BHS has gotten better. And your right, yall did beat us. However, i do not think that this game will be as close as people are making it out to be. I have respect for Blackman and Riverdale, and i know they are 2 good teams. I assure u, its not sour grapes. Dont u think if it was i would be saying that bhs would win 35-0. I dont have sour grapes. i just dont think that the blaze will be able to win this one. I hope yall prove me wrong. I want the blaze to win, but, when i look at everything....how they match up, i have to give the bigger edge to riverdale. I mean, especially since amburgey is lost, that takes out a dimension to yalls offense. Elliott is a good Qb, but he doesnt have the speed and awareness of amburgey. He is, however, a good qb, and i knew this when i played freshmanball with him. I believe that i was a little off when i said that rhs would win 35-0. I know that bhs has gotten better, and that this game will be closer than that. I think it will be more in the neighborhood of 21-7. 24-14ish. i'll say it again, in my experience with both teams, this is how i feel they match up Offense-IF AND ONLY IF the o-line of blackman can get the running game going to open up the holes for rico. If not, they are in for a long night. However, if Riverdale can eliminate the penalties they kill themselves with, they should be able to move the ball. Advantage: Riverdale Defense- Blackman has some good players. Yall are fairly good at penetrating into the backfield(from the 5 or so games i have seen). If you can do this, then the game could be a lot closer than most think. Riverdale has a strong d-line that collapses into the backfield just as fast as blackman, if not faster. The thing that riverdale does though is they read the fullback first. They take read steps to decided where to go. They are very fast and execute the read defense well. They are also a little more physical up front i believe. Advantage: Even Special Teams: Blackman has extremly good special teams(as was proved in the smyrna game, and the winning kick at Cookeville). Their kicker is accurate and has a strong leg. Riverdale, on the other hand, has a fairly good kicker in Campbell. He misses fieldgoals he should make. I think you could attribute that to the fact he is playing both ways. Advantage: Blackman Intangibles: Riverdale has been here before, they know what they are doing. Blackman, however, Is in a dogfight to prove themselves. I think that whoever wants it more(blackman does i believe) will have a good shot at winning. Blackman wants to avenge the loss Advantage: Blackman These are just my preceptions from playing against them.
