Well, first i congratulate Bearden on the comeback they made from being down by thirty, most teams would have quit but................. They lost. We talked the talk, and walked the walk. Bearden just lacks the overall talent, yeah they play as a team, but so do middle schoolers and that doesnt mean they'll beat us. To all those Bearden haters, i wouldnt say anythin else till yall beat us at a sport this year. but ill say this, the game will be closer next time. congrats to admirals (oh yeah, ive heard ur climbin team is pretty good, why dont yall support them)

First of all Kdogg4408, didn't start this thread, i was at his house and started it so dont direct any negative comments towards him. next im goin to let the teams playin do the talkin besides posting on a message board with other random people. but for a parting shot, dirtydog15, didnt u graduate, still have trouble makin friends?

If Holliday gets 30, then all Farragut people should retire. hes the most overrated player in knoxville, and bhsfootball, maybe u should stick with the football program until the team has a winning season again.

first of all, is all that really called for. i know this is a message board, but certain things probably shouldnt be said. and unless he has coached u, how would u know how he coaches. he's right anywayz, tevah doesnt get the ball enough down low. who in that district besides daniels-muholland maybe can even guard him. a message board is not that serious that personal attacks should be made on anyone. best of luck to clinton this year

u may state ur opinions, but remember this don't try to criticize someone who's done more than u have. dickey can throw. he might not be a brett farve but he can throw. and we'll see how good u are next year before u start criticizin others. by the way 30-24 nuff said

If the breakers have 11 people on the team, and 5 play each quarter, then yeah, only then only two people play one quarter while the other 9 play two quarters. it wasn't like the starters were in at the end of the game either. they only played 1st and 3rd quarters. either way, benson still sent his best 5 to play the travelers, not a split team, but his best (and one other in the 4th quarter) what more should the breakers do to make it even?

yeah, i think it will be close too. Oak Ridge beat Farragut by 4 this summer at OR. Farragut blew out OR by like 20 before the season at farragut, but OR wasnt at full strength. i believe the game will not be won at point or at the wings, but down low between Fraser and Kauchak. They know each other's games well from AAU so they should be the deciding factor. Yeah farragut is dangerous, but they also implode sometimes. This is the only team that can win the region easily after beating all the teams in the tournament (except for bearden, uhhh) at one point this year, but is also the only team that can come out and be totally dominated from the get-go Prediction (know you'll like this one) 6 point win for a region 2 team

u be surprised what this man can do maryville by 15 easily. if maryville goes 2-3 zone, beamon wont be able to drive and with 6'4 Gaskin and 6'2 Humphrey out on top, also will be hard to shoot over. maryville has more weapons, but will the coach even use them? i only see clinton having a chance if tevah pulls a "golden" down low [Edited by Hoops4ever on 3-3-03 6:53P]

This is really sad, First, as much as i dislike Bearden, i'll be the first to admit that kyle is a very good player. but of those who have posted messages about him, how many has even seen him play? because, unfortunately, if u had then u would know that he is not a Division I player (There arent too many 6'1 shooting guards and only humphrey is the exception). if kyle thinks he deserved to be named captain, well he just showed why he wasn't. Next, i dont know who told who about the news of him quitting, but it never should have reached the newspapers. really i dont like both articles because they made both cruze and blevins the antagonists in both. the quitting of a high school athlete should never have to be on the radio or newspapers because this happens all the time. i'll say one thing though, if kyle meant to make a statement by telling the "world", then burgess' article was justified. Last, the most important thing now are his teammates. if they know how kyle feels and agrees with his decision and still supports him, then it is okay. because from what i see, bearden is still bearden. unlike most teams, they play together and will find a way to win. they might even go farther w/o him. now, if they believe cruze cost them their season, then yeah, i wouldnt agree with his decision because there is no I in TEAM. Either way this is kyle's life and decision and i cant criticize when i dont know all the facts. i know one thing ,though, and that is many of the players really dislike playing for blevins. but what has been said about blevins has also been said bout coaches like bobby knight, and they both do one thing; win. And if u dont agree with what someone writes, that is fine, u are entitled to ur opinion. but that doesnt mean to start name calling.

This game will be close cause Maryville is one of the better teams in the state but they are playing their rivals on their rivals' home court. William Blount had Maryville the last time the played but choked from the line. Maryville will win because of one reason; no one in the district has or will be able to stop Lee Humphrey

The two games were great last night. Bearden w/o Cruze played their butts off. Paul Dickenson........wow dude was hittin from past Humphrey range. Maryville just beat Farragut last night. Both teams played hard and there was arguable calls on both sides but the difference was lee. Farragut looks forward to playin the two seed out of the next district whoever it might be. bearden, as team oriented as they might be, lacks the go to player (no it is not Cox) to win in crunch time. still should be good game anywayz

Really, so your defense is so good, it can cause us to commit according to the stat sheet, 31 turnovers. no matter how good maryville might be, it couldnt cause its jv to turn the ball over 31 times. you beat us mainly on break away layups. now are yall better than us maybe, but 30 pts better no way. im sure u saw the game, u beat us practically on layups, and u didnt even try to press us. sometimes the scoreboard can be exaggerated by how better a team might be. like our bearden game. they arent 18 pts better than us. matter a fact,the game was tied goin into the fourth quarter and we were down by 5 wit 3 min left. Cox hit 19 FREE THROWS in the fourth alone. if u win tomorrow fine, but u are not 30 pts better than us, much less 10

Cant wait to play maryville either. we're the only team to beat y'all each of the past two years. the game at farragut was a fluke ( sounds like what yall said about the game at maryville)The game will be won by no more than 10 pts this time though

Predictions for 3AAA Tournament 1. Oak Ridge-when Gulmire gets healthy, him and Scott will be almost unstoppable on the perimeter. And if Kauchak can dominate in the post, the region championship will be Maryville-Oak Ridge 2. Powell-Ogan and Seely are a two men show for this team. But guard play is most important during tournament time and if Oak Ridge puts a press on them, it will be a repeat of the twenty point blow out earlier this season 3. Karns-Only way Karns will win is if Crane steps up and takes over games. He is their best player and if he comes thru, the Fersner and others will be tough to stop from outside 4.Clinton- Beamon is the MVP of this league. This team was the favorite to win it all till Vibbert went back to Texas. When it looked like they would just fold he took over. But this team wont go far unless Morris becomes a threat inside. * Central-If beamon is mvp than Hundley is not too far behind. This team is able to play with any team and can beat any team on a given night. Defense is the key. You cant go down and score 2 points and let the other team score 3 points. You cant just outscore teams durin this time of year

You said that Maryville was 25-1 with Lee. Well, who was that one loss too. Granted Maryville didnt have tyler, but if the other players dont pick it up when lee is not shooting well, then they wont make it to the boro. I really think Lee is too unselfish but His teammates really dont understand how good they really are. If you took lee off that team and put a decent role player, Maryville, i think, would still be one of the best teams in the east. But for the past couple of years, players have been so used to lee takin shots that they havent realized their full potential. so when lee's shot is off for a game, his teammates wait for him to get on a roll, which is how they lost that one game. this is why maryville is prone to be upset in the tournament and exactly why white station is always a solid team because they realize bradshaw is the go to player, but no one dominates the team.
