congrats to the FCS girls on a great year....for any of you critics out there saying they had a rough year, yeah they took their lumps....but the teams they lost to westmoreland (31-3), celina (27-3), ezell harding (29-6 state runner-up), FRA (26-7), and peabody (33-3 state champs) were no slouches. also, a 27-9 record is certainly nothing to be ashamed of....i know a lot of teams would take that record and a return trip to the state tournament in a heartbeat. so before anyone starts handing out criticism on how the coaches or players underacheived, just be thankful for the hard work that both the coaches and players put in this year to make this year a success.

1st Rd. Predictions Friendship over Peabody Harriman over Huntingdon Moore Co. over Cloudland Ezell over Westmoreland I'll post more as the tourney goes on.

friendship is a much improved team from when they played ezell and FRA back in the regular season, look for a better showing in the tournament

i think FRA/moore co. and ezell harding/wayne co. games are toss-ups just because of the calibre of both teams and the closeness of the previous games. i'll hafta go w/ the home teams though and take ezell and moore co. to state. in the westmoreland/CCS and friendship/tyner games i like both district 8A teams westmoreland and friendship advancing to the state tournament. from there all heck will break loose, any team out of those 4 has a shot of taking it all home. go lady commanders!

well if FCS gets stomped into the ground tomorrow night that would make celina look even worse wouldn't it? well, you won't hafta worry about that b/c friendship will come with their 'A' game like they did tonight and pull it out over a very talented westmoreland squad. i guess everyone has rough nights, but celina sure picked a heckuva bad time to do it. good luck commanders

congratulations to friendship, they played a heckuva ballgame to beat celina tonight. coach hemingway had this team ready to play to beat one of the top teams in the state. this team can definitely do some damage into the state tournament if they keep playing like this. i like friendship by 5 over westmoreland in the region finals.

i bet a bunch of celina and clarkrange fans' jaws are hitting the ground right now. westmoreland really took it to clarkrange and friendship really outplayed state ranked celina too. i guess it's kind of ironic that friendship beats celina in the region after losing to them twice during the regular season, because that's exactly what friendship did the last 2 years, with celina getting the best of them in the region. district 8-A is looking a lot stronger than a lot of critics thought. oh well, i'm picking friendship in this one avenging 3 earlier losses to a solid westmoreland team.

Friendship Christian, Westmoreland, Gordonsville, and Van Buren will also be in there.
