I believe the player from Hickman County is named Tarrah Tucker, not Kara.

The pitch was shook off twice the first time and he kept calling it,so it was thrown. The second time the same thing but was shook off again, then a timeout,visit to the mound, then the pitch was thrown again. She is taught coach has the last say so, so she through what he wanted. There was not a good reason to throw this pitch. not one.

The pitch was called there by the coach. Both times.The pitcher didn't miss her spot. She through it right where he wanted it. He was hoping to catch them looking. Since everyone is only saying stupid things then I know there was not a good reason behind it. Thanks for your response.

What would be the reason for a coach to call a pitch right down the middle,waist high with 2 strikes 1 or 2 ball count to really good hitters, the number 3 and 4 batter on a team that has made it to the state. I cannot come up with a good reason on my own, so I am looking for some help.

So if a good player plays for a team that their coach doesn't perticipate then they are left off because they have a coach who is not concerned with the players accomplishments. This cannot be a true list of all the best players if that is the case. Sorry

The hit batters wasn't a coincedence, It was what most people call a bad pitch,or a mistake. Something that most, not all, people from your area don't think ever happens to them.

Another midstate pitcher that needs to be added pitches for Hickman County High School. Her and Ashley pitched to a 0-0 tie this past weekend at the Dickson field. They both pitched a good game. Her name is Tarrah Tucker.

There is no fairness in District 11AAA. If you live outside of Williamson or Davidson Counties then you will get no fairness. The field is so blankity blankity sloppy they make your pitcher keep on pitching. Then she slips with both feet and the other team starts crying about a balk. There is a runner on 3rd that has already struck out but the catcher misses the 3rd strike and as she is running clearly inside the baseline the catcher hits her in the back as she is throwing to firstbase. There is no way the ball can get to the firstbaseman, but the umpire calls nothing. I don't think he has a clue what the correct call was. He makes his decision about the play and doesn't award the girl home. Fianlly the game is postponed .The other team cries all day the next day and gets the call changed to where the runner scores. Who cares play should have already been stopped, the girl shouldn't even be on base, but the umpire caves under pressure and our coach doesn't want to rock the boat, so our girls get the shaft again.

They are just like all the other good teams outside of Davidson County. The only time you hear about them is the 1, 2 or 3 times they stumble during the year. It is like the Tennessean should be called the Davidsonean.

Does anyone know if there is a Tournament in Franklin this weekend April 23rd thru april 24th? Maybe called Sonic Invitational.

NCAA Softball on espn2. Everyone that can, tune in and support. 1:00 thursday 5-22-03 and same evening at 6:30 same station. Spread the word.

If anyone wanted to see some class, they should have been at the game. Both teams showed nothing but class, and most parents did the same. It was one of the best games i have seen this year. Thanks to the Dickson High School coaches and parents for putting on a first class game.

Toughest opponent all year? Then you predicted them to win 3-1. They only beat Hickman County 1-0 in the tie breaker. That was a 10 inning thriller.

I guess they didn't have any all district. There was never anyone announced. But it could have been done quietly. Alot of thing in high school are kept that way.

Is district 11 the only tournament getting cancelled due to rain? The other night they played after raining early in the morning, but they can't play today (5-8-03). I don't think it has rained since last night. It sounds like someone doesn't want to finish this tournament anymore. Someone needs to look into what is going on with the decision making.

So if there are only 2 teams left undefeated in the winners bracket then these 2 teams will move on if there is a total washout, with the highest seeded team going as 1 and the other going as 2?

What happens to the district games that don't get made up? With this lattest rain it looks like some teams will have some of these.
