  1. Marion wins a very close game this week. They have to come out and play 4 quarters of ball though.
  2. Marion will have to stop turning the ball over, and keep Tyner from the BIG plays as has happened in the past. This game will be won in the trenches.
  3. Great Job MC Warriors and Coach Roberts, keep up the good work.
  4. Yes it is official. Coach Phillips called me early to let me know he was taking the job. Good Luck Bubba!!!!!!
  5. I'm always interested when it comes to JMS Athletics. Good luck guys!!
  6. I heard Grundy and Jasper looked good. Best of luck to Coach Minter and the JMS baseball team this year. They should have another great year.
  7. Marion Co. will have to have to stop the Tyner sweeps and air attack with Craddock, and be able to run the ball to have a chance at winning this game.
  8. From what I hear Westmoreland is not as big as Marion, so it's up to the Big Uglies up front to open holes for All-State RB Van Kinsey and keep the ball away from Westmoreland. I don't see a blow out for either side in this game. I hope the fans from Jasper come out and support the boys Friday.
  9. Thanks for the advice with the all caps MC Dad. By the way MC Dad you never miss a game you will be there 2 hours before kickoff I'm sure. Anyway, good luck Warriors lets get a playoff win and get that monkey off our back.
  10. HEY MC DAD YOU GOING TO BE IN THE PRESS BOX FRIDAY AT WESTMORELAND?
  11. IF MARION CO. O-LINE PLAYS THE WAY THEY HAVE THE LAST 4 GAMES, THE WARRIORS WILL WIN THIS GAME.
  12. 1. CSAS- returns very athletic players and a solid team with good coaching. 2. Tyner/Seq Co.- Tyner has tremendous athletes and return quite a bit. Seq Co. will be some good competition from the valley teams, they are big, young but big. they can also shoot the lights out. Coach Smith does a great job and has been making some noise these past couple of years. 3. Howard- Lost some key players but always athletic and will also compete at the top because they are led by good coaching. 4. Hixson- Return solid players with some experience, lost too much to be at the top. 5. East Ridge/Marion Co.- East Ridge lost a lot, may come around toward district tourny time. Marion Co. also lost a lot but return 3 starters, with a little more experience they might be a sleeper. 6. Grundy Co.- Lost more key players that won't be replaced than anyone else. They return Mr. Athlete Dustin Fults and with rumors of Josh Sitz playing they could be a tough duo. This team could be a sleeper or a cake walk, depending. 7. Bledsoe Co.- Suffered all kinds of losses. They lost their two studs from last year. They do return a 4 year starter and a couple of big kids. Coach Boynton is the only thing that will help this team.
  13. I've seen both teams play Marion Co. this year. Tyner has way to much speed for Polk Co. Another disadvantage is Polk traveling to Tyner not an easy place to win. Tyner has played McCallie and BGA while Polk has played Lookout Valley and Copper Basin. It would be nice to see Tyner get beat in the region, I just don't see it happening though! Tyner by 20!
