They named Charles McTorry the #34 greatest athlete in Tennesse (not just wrestler). He is the only wrestler on the list, and I have to agree he was the greatest.

hsbbweb, I checked with the State of Tennessee and Maryville's test scores are a lot better than Blount County's. See the following website: http://www.state.tn.us/education/tstvaas.htm You'll see that Maryville City Schools are well above average, and Blount County Schools are lacking in most areas. Education was the main reason my parents paid tuition for me to go to MHS, and having a great athletic program was also nice too. [Edited by Rebel96 on 10-29-02 5:13P]

- Maryville spray painting the ducks at the Alcoa pond red and black (somewhat mean...but a little funny) - Maryville dying the Alcoa pond red - Alcoa releasing many mice into the school hallways after 2nd period - Maryville raising a Rebel Flag to the top of the flag pole at the end of Goddard field and cutting the pull cords so Alcoa couldn't get the flag down for about a day. - Finally, the yearly planting of the Rebel Flag in the middle of the Alcoa pond.
