I believe that Bradley will win; I am not saying that Walker Valley does not have good players but I believe the overall team and the coaching favors Bradley. Not to mention that Bradley's schedule prepares them for a game like this than does Walker Valley's. Bradley by 8. Go Bearettes!

Bearettefan, How did we look today. Was North Greene just not very good or did we play like we are capable of playing? Who played well. Was Coach Harlowe pleased with the effort? Wish I could have been there today. I hope to be there on Monday. Go Bearettes!!!

Well, whatever Fuller getting hurt did to help the score out as you say, it will certainly not be good for Shelbyville to lose such a talented athlete. Good luck on a fast recovery to a young lady who has a very bright future ahead of her.

Whoever said that Oak Ridge did not look good this year must have been watching some other Oak Ridge team; they looked pretty darn good to me. Add that to the Bearettes having probably their worst game offensively of the year and you get the outcome of the game. Coach Pruden has done a wonderful job once again. It is going to be exciting seeing these two teams play again.

I think that this is the year that the Bearettes beat Oak Ridge. It should be an exciting game. Bearettes by 8.

I am just curious on whom you think will be the top five in the state?

I would say that Bradley would easily win this game if not for the fact that the Lady Jets have big post players and Bradley has struggled with big post players (Antioch for example.) However, just like in the Antioch game, the Bearettes shooting will be able to overcome Cumberland County. Bearettes by 12.

I dont know if that is right or not but it would not suprise me. Cleveland's philosophy has been to let Holly run up and down the floor shooting anytime she wants to. I dont believe that is her fault, she is a good player and would be able to score thirty points on about half that many shots somewhere else, thats just the extent of the coaching abilities at Cleveland.

Both teams lost a lot off of last years teams, so I think that it will be a close game. I am going to go with Cleveland by 6 in a back and forth game.

I really hope that someone else did that web site, because if he is that full of himself that he would do that himself then I feel sorry for the players at Riverdale. Anyway, can anyone please tell me what time the game will be on Saturday (girls & boys). I am planning on going to both the Coffee County and Riverdale games but need to know times. I know the Coffee County game is at 6:30 but not sure if it is eastern or central time. Can anyone help me out?

gomab, you said that Giles had an easy schedule except for two games against BA; so are you saying that the game at home against Bradley Central is going to be easy? Just wondering. I would say that that game is going to be a tremendous test on the guard position.

Bearettefan, I think that you are right, it is pointless to try and convince anyone on here if you are his supporter or not. You know if you are and you shouldn't have to prove it to anyone else. I hope that the team is not allowing any of this to have an affect on what promises to be a terriffic season. GO BEARETTES!

Who all is going to be at the Holiday Inn Tournament hosted by Bradley November 28-30? Does anyone know who Bradley's first round opponent is?

1. McMinn Central 2. Meigs County 3. Walker Valley 4. Tellico Plains 5. Polk County 6. Seqouyah 7. Sweetwater 3rd and 4th could be very close depending on how many Tellico Plains lost from last year's team that only lost to Walker Valley by 5 in the region tournament. Just my predictions.

I understand exactly what Bearettefan meant. It is entirely possible to beat yourself (bad execution, mental mistakes, too many turnovers, etc.) Never once did Bearette fan say that Bradley was playing a bad team and losing to them was disgraceful. I am sure that your coach and players have said many times that they "beat themselves". I think someone needs to get off of their high horse and not take everyones comments to be personal.

I agree with you that he could be more encouraging. I believe he needs to learn how to channel all of that passion and emotion and bring it out in a positive way more often. He is without a doubt one of the greatest basketball minds in all of the state and I believe that if he would mix that with a more likable personality then there would be no telling how far he and his teams would go. I know that there are some girls in our county who are a little skeptical about playing for him and there have also been a couple of girls that have quit. My message to them would be that he is not a monster (in fact, I have had many people tell me that he is a very good person and a loving family man) and I truly believe that he just wants to make them be the best that they can be, he just gets a little carried away sometimes. When he does, just overlook and go out and work twice as hard. It will all pay off in the end.

Its great to hear the good things being said about Bradley's team. I know that coach Harlowe is strict and tough but I keep saying that if girls will not take his toughness personal and realize that he just has a fire and passion for the game, then they will become 10 times better or more than they were before. I do not know much about Giles County either, but I know that they are good. I think that it is going to be exciting on December 20th when we (Bradley Central) go up to Giles County to play. I think that will be a good measuring stick for two outstanding programs.
