It showed that no matter how good a player Butler is, and she is very good, she can't do it alone. And until Tucker realizes he can't put the other 4 players on the baseline standing, everytime down court and run 4 -low, or run every single freaking play for one person, WV will only beat medicore teams. All the inbounds plays, everything, drawn up to get the ball to Butler. Nothing against her because she wants to pass the ball, but when she does, she gets yelled at. Even when other peeps are open, you can hear "shoot the ball" when she passes it. Hard for her. Its not like WV don't have any other players, because they do. I bet Burrell, Alverson or Walker would faint if Tucker actually drew up a play for one of them. All the plays they have are suppose to have progressions, other options. Butler is getting beat up every game, being double, triple teamed at times, just physically exhausted after every game. When tournament times comes, she will be wore out. She put up 28 against McMinn Co. and nobody else from WV scored more than 6. Tucker, his assistants, and her teammates are going to have to step up or they will be on the outside looking in tournament time.

Bradley lost by 6 earlier at home.....could have easily won game by 6.....Should be steaming after surprise loss to McMinn Co......hard to win on the mountain......Pickel has a big game.....Bradley in a close one McMinn Co. shot the lights out against Bradley, over 50% for the game.....Will be tested against WV pressure.....McMinn Co. inside game vs WV outside shooters.....should be a fast pace good one....WV pulls away in 2nd half....WV wins

Great Game! Congrats to Bradley on a big win. Nice job Lady Mustangs! Both teams played hard. You got to love the competition. Rematch in Jan. 5AAA - You got to love it! And this is just the 2nd / 3rd week of District play. What more is there to come. It will be hard pressed to top last night's game, but I'm sure it may happen. Cumberland, Bradley, WV, Cleveland, McMinn Co. and Rhea. Get ready Rhea, the "real" fun is about to start for you!

District 5AAA: Cumberland Co. at 2-0, WV at 1-0, Cleveland at 1-1, Bradley at 0-1, McMinn Co. at 0-2 and Rhea Co. yet to play any district games. WV would love to go 2-0 while Bradley doesn't want to drop to 0-2. No real mis-matches at any positon for either school I can see. Bradley might have a little bit more team size while WV might have a little bit more quickness. Butler and Pickel will get theirs no matter and cancel each other out. Key is who else can / will score for both teams. FT's could decide it. Bradley is at home but WV showed a little grind and grit when things were not going their way against Cleveland. WV by 3

I know this is just your own opinion top 5, but I was wondering, didn't WV just BEAT Cleveland? How are they still tied? You must be using some of that BCS logic

What was nice to see after the horn sounded, was, through it all, the TEAM as a whole celebrated "together" with the coaches on the floor, not ONE person jumping up and down saying I did this, but the TEAM. Victory was not achieved by ONE person's success, but by the TEAM pulling together to help each other out. For those celebration moments, I would say none of the kids cared less about who did what or who gets the credit. They WON, and that was all that mattered. THEN...... the coaches, radio and newspaper people stepped in and started naming off names, singling out just a few of many of the TEAM members, who enabled victory to be achieved. Personally, I don't think most of the kids give a crap about who gets the headlines. It's us, the parents. Most of the kids, just want to win! I'm sure that all the players would like to mentioned and have their moment in the sun, rightfully so, and honestly, I feel the Coaches, newspaper and radio people could and should, spread it around a little bit more, if they tried, instead of pretty much always singling out a precious few, but the fact is, equal credit and exposure is not going to happen. Real "TEAM PLAYERS", and I repeat TEAM PLAYERS, know they can't do it along. Regardless of what parents, coaches, etc might say, ONE person can't do it! It's take a "TEAM" and WV......you got a very good "TEAM"......work hard to stay that way!!!!! Now....go take care of business at Bradley!!!!!

I like WV in a close one. Cleveland inside game vs Walker Valley outside game. Not sure Cleveland press will bother WV that much. Alyson should be able to throw over the top of Wells and Isom. Last year Cleveland had more quickness and size with Holly, Brett, Crista and especially Rader on that press. If Alyson, Aston, and Alex continue shooting the 3-ball the way they have so far, should be interesting. Key is Alyson breaking the press double team and the first pass after that to someone who should be open. Still got to make shots. WV will have to slow down Wells and Smith and get some stops inside. WV has got to rebound and not let Cleveland play volleyball on the offensive boards. High scoring game favors WV. Low scoring favors Cleveland.

With Kerri out, I like McMinn Co. in a slight upset by 5 Jackie has been putting up some big numbers, but Cumberland is loaded. If Pickel gets 40, Bradley has a chance, but I'll take Cumberland by 8, with Pickel getting 30.

Let the games begin!!! District play is about to get started. This should be fun!!!! Let's get it started!!! Everyone seems to be playing pretty good in these Hall of Fame and holiday tournament games, even though the competition was nothing like it will be in district play. In no particular order, so far each team stands at: Rhea Couty: 4 - 2 Cumberland: 4 - 1 Cleveland: 4 - 0 Bradley: 3 - 1 Walker V: 3 - 0 McMinn: 2 - 1

Any scores or a website to see both days results?

A good team in 5-AAA is gonna be left out of region this year. The question is who. I like Cumberland, WV, Cleveland and Bradley to make it to the region. The 2 Sectional qualifiers will come out of this group also. Now that will be fun!
