As is ALWAYS the case, the winner of the Grace/Temple region finals game or it could be CSAS this year will host and most likely win and the loser will travel up here to play either Jackson County or Pickett Co. and the traveling team will not have much of a chance to win the game. There won't be any half court prayers to be answered again. JC missed 18 free throws in that game and that wont happen again either. Not that i can't happen because anything can happen when you're dealing with high school kids but its a 90% chance that the home team wins. See everyone in Chattanooga tonight for the Temple game.

jim has been in this situation several times with multiple championships. He does a tremendous job, and will have this blue devil team ready for the challenge. Not sure who will win this game, but the one thing i am sure about is if the game was played in Pickett Co. it would be atleast a 20 point margin in favor of the home team. thumb

02wildcat, big fan of the cats but they are in LEXINGTON. Great bowl game win last year. If I'm not mistaken Jackson County beat Monterey last year for their win of the season. So, playing in a bowl game is not as important as the playoffs. I do think The cats will have a very solid team this year in very tough region. My bet for this year another quality region team misses the playoffs. Will be very interesting this year. TC, SC, LA, PP, MC, YI, JC, UP, DC, CC,. In that order, York could be a surprise team this year. Good coach, and quality athletes. Good luck to all the teams this year. the largest crowds i have witnessed at the TN state tournament is when Livingston plays Jackson Co. during the girls state tournament. About 7000. The boys tournament usually draws 18000 to 22000 a session when played at Rupp, 17000 to 20000 when played at freedom hall. You have only one champion in Ky. instead of 5 girls and 5 boys co-champions. Maybe tssaa should look deeper into this type of tournament action. Girls action in Ky. starts this week even though the crowds are smaller than the boys tournament it still is a great atmosphere to play in front of 13000 to 15000 fans at each session. I watch warren central play Russelville in the semi finals of the forth region at diddle arena and the crowd that was at that game was more than a state tournament session at the Boro.

what are the numbers on jackson county, they are close to being 1A in football. If the numbers remain the same wouldn't they be 1A in Girls basketball. If this is true Coach Brown and the lady devils could begin a new runnnnnnnn.

bob77, be there with my dad to watch the matchup. he has only seen Jackson county girls lose one time, and that was last years Shelbyville game. I know this is a different team but some things concern me about the lady devils in their strive for five. First overall team speed is a concern in this game with livingston, playing on a college level 94 foot floor. Free throw shooting when the game is close. Have heard that some of the ladies are batteling some sort of flu bug. Are they all close to healthy. I know some are banged up given that they have played the toughest schedule in the state. When pop is at the game the lady devils are like 47-1. I'm bringing the luck with me. Keep the puke bags at home devil fans. H-O-G-E-Y-E, hogeye, hogeye, just got beat.
