There are so many scenarios but im going to list a how i think it will end up. If Milan wins out they are 1st no matter what happens, but if they lose then that shakes up everything. I dont see this happening so im going to put them at number 1. If Huntingdon, who has USJ and humboldt left on their schedule can win out then they will finish second. Huntingdon usually plays their best when they have to so i expect them to step out and come out victourious the last 2 weeks. Westview has Humboldt this week and I see them beating Humboldt because of their excellent defense. If this happens then Westview loses to Milan then Westview finishes 3rd and Humboldt finishes fourth bc they hold the tiebreaker over Peabody. So either peabody is going to have to beat Milan or they are going to have to have some help from another team to make the playoffs. This seems like the most likely scenario to me.

This game will be huge for huntingdon. There is a big chance that if Huntingdon can win out they will finish second in the region, but they have alot of work to do until that happens. Our Dbs are pretty weak but looked better last week against gibson co expect on a reverse pass. Our best bet is to send more people than they can block and put pressure on their qb. The past 8 weeks dont mean anything anymore. It is now a 2 week season for huntingdon and if they want to keep playing after that they have to win.

Fulmer, Chavis, and one of Chavis assistants were all at the game friday. They sat right in the middle of the stands and signed autographs the whole game. Minter was there but tried to stay low and wouldnt even let the newspaper take a pic of him. I stood out on the field for a little bit but i dont think that he ever talked to many people.

i just hope the game is in rural west tn and not in memphis

Let me throw my 2 cents like I told ya'll Friday night. Milan runs the ball and gains two yards. Now 2nd down and 8 and you use a timeout. Milan runs the ball again and gains 4. Timeout and now it's 3rd and 4 with only one TO left. Milan runs the ball again and gets a first or even if they don't get a first you still have 4th and short yardage and now you have no TO's left and we're still down two scores. I've seen it dozens of times when a team uses up their TO's and then the other team gets a 1st down. You've "wasted" those timeouts.. Use up your TO's and you have maybe 3 minutes left and still down two scores after Morris kicks it deep and you get the ball back on the 20 with no TO's. Crocker gets sacked and then what. It's easy to Coach in the stands and I do it myself. Don't you think Mike thought this out, or he gave up as you say? Don't you think if we were down 1 score he would have called TO? I do.. RCombs.... Since when is playing Camden and Westview back to back brutal as you say. You beat Huntingdon on a blocked punt and win for the 10th time in 62 games and now the Lions are awesome. "One year doesn't a good program make". Heck man, Memphis Mitchell went to the BCBS one year... You have a good team but I don't see you beating Goodpasture to play anybody from 7-AA do you? That's after you have beaten Lewis County in the 2nd round..... Maybe this is your year... Good luck to ya'll. If you use the time outs and they get the first down then its over, but if you dont use those timeouts then it is over anyways bc your down 14 with 1 minute left. And even if we didnt want to use our timeouts after we stopped them on first and second down, after you stop them on third down then why not use one? At the point right we are right now i think anything is worth trying. I mean you really have nothing to lose. Your down by 14, with a minute and 30, your not supposed to win, but if you happen to its a great comeback. If you watched the oregon Oklahoma game the same thing happened in that game. They were down by 14 with 3 minutes, forced a punt, scored, got an on side kick and scored and ended up winning the game ( with some bull crap calls i will add). But i just dont understand why you wouldnt use any of your time outs. Maybe not on first or second but after you stop them on third you have to use 1 in my opinion.

And not only did our offense get soft during those years but our defense did as well. I know when we played fairview they were alot bigger than we were but that has never mattered in the past. i have heard many stories about some of the smallest defensive linemen being some of the best to ever play at huntingdon. We got physically man handled by fairview that year and it was time to go back to huntingdon football and become the most physical team we would be and i think we accomplished it.

About the wing t... I think it is a great offense but you cant sit there and run outside right and outside left everyplay. Eventually teams are going to stop that as fairview did in 02. You need to have some power running game in the middle and the over play we ever ran there was g. We ran the I and the wing t mixed together for 3 years, 1 gold ball, 1 silver ball, and 1 semi final apperance. Why did we change it this year, i dont know... I still dont understand the time out issue though. I just think that it sends a bad message to the team and to the fans. Some of the things we could have worked on the last three weeks could be really important down the road when it comes to us winning a game. We could have worked on the two minute offense which we have never been that good at or just anything to help us get better. I think it sends a bad message to the team that says its over and it is time to give up. Has anybody else noticed us not using our timeouts at all the last three weeks in the second half?

I cant see humboldt beating both Martin and Huntingdon in back to back weeks. That is hard to do. And i also see Goodpasture vs Alcoa in a rematch of last year.

Huntingdon is going to have to pull a pittsburgh steelers from last year. Win their final 8 games (thats what im wishing for anyway). But as far as the wing t, i dont think its a great offense when that is all you run because it can cause your team to become soft. But when you mix it with the I as they did in 2003 and 2004 you can go along ways. The only problem with the wing t this year is that i dont know if we have two running backs that are good enough backs that you could place at the wings. Maybe mccadams and weathers with donald at fullback. i dont know what they are going to do but we have to change something. donald rushed for 200 yards when he was a freshman and the only play he ran the whole game was g.

Humboldt has to lose 1 but they still have westview and huntingdon left. As long as Milan dont slip up I see them being region champs.

If huntingdon wins out then huntingdon is in. If Huntingdon happens to lose one of the last 3 then they are in alot of trouble. They hold the tiebreaker over westview which i expect to lose to milan. There both of those will have to losses. Trenton only has 1 loss but still has to play westview and milan so they could either win the region or be at the very bottom. Right now i would say that Milan still has the best shot to win the region bc i dont see any team that will have less than two losses and milan will hold the tie breaker on all the teams that will be in the playoff picture. I think the final four will be 1. Milan 2. Peabody 3. Huntingdon 4. The winner of the humboldt and westview game...Im going to take Humboldt by 7.

I dont know if we need to change our coaches but i am tired of seeing us give up every time we get down by 14 points. The last three weeks we left atleast two timeouts in our pockets. There is no excuse for that. If your going to lose go down fighting. Just because there is only 8 mins left and your down by 14 and the other team has the ball doesnt mean it is time to quit. Its happened 3 times and it has to put a bad impression on the players.

Everybody likes to talk about the Milan 03' team but the Huntingdon 03 team was just as good if not better. The last three teams they played in the playoffs that year had a combined record of 39-0 and Huntingdon dominated every team except milan that year. Most of the people who watched the state championship that year said Huntingdon could have beat anybody that day. I know Milan was good but when it mattered huntingdon beat them, and that year there were no crappy calls, Huntingdon just wanted it more.

Im not trashing anybody. Im just telling you what me and many other people see as been listed earlier in some post. He runs hard which i love and he played a lot better last night but he has no vision and he takes more than running hard to be good. I know we dont have the best offenisve line but when he gets out in the open he doesnt have the ability to see the field and make the cuts. We are just used to watching bell and Boo run all over the place and heis not the same kind of back. Im not talkin about his personality and am not trying to trash him, im juste telling you what i see. And as far as the game last night, i think everything changed after our first mishap and never got anybetter after that. We make more mistakes than any Huntingdon team i can remember and when you do those things its hard to win. We have to win our last 3 games or our fate will be placed in other teams hands. Milan played hard and was very physical and killed us in the middle where our starting tackle was out. i just hope we play the rest of the year with the effort we gave last night and i think we will be ok.

Huntingdon doesn't own milan. Every game the past 3 years could have went either way, espically the playoff games. And this is a board for people to give opinions and im not going to sit around and tell you how good they are doing bc that aint happening. I want us to get better just as much as anyone but we arent going to get any better if we keep doing the same stuff everyweek. Sometime people got to realize that we have been doing just aint working.

Im pretty sure what we are saying on here isnt going to effect them. If somebody was talking about me not playing good it would make me want to play better, not lay down like what your thinking. Im pretty sure mansfield dont sit around telling them how good they are. We are just commenting on the things that need work, which is alot right now.

Im glad somebody actually watches the game. Our Dbs are as bad as they have ever been and our running game is the same.... Outsider15, just open your eyes and you would notice it to....

hes boo's cousin, and hickman co. went from being 0 and 10 and 4 and 6 in 1 year and only lost to lewis co 14-7 this year. I would say they are improving pretty fast.

One more thing about weathers, I love the fact that he is hardnose and loves to hit people, but there is a point when you just have to be smart. Its like he runs with his eyes closed. Good backs know when they need to make a move and when they need to just plow foward and get all they can. He just dont have those instincts yet. Just watch macadams on kickoff returns and when he catches the ball. He always makes a move and gets extra yardage. Thats one reason i think that if donald aint going to be able to play rb we need to try macadams there.

All i know is that huntingdon has along ways to go and only a short time to get there. We havent played good since week 1. I thought they would be better from that lose but it really hasnt changed at all since then. I dont know whats missing, but it is definately something. Maybe its just the fact that they really miss swenson that bad, or it could be totally different. We cant just keep going out there and doing the same stuff every week bc it is obviously aint working. The coaches are going to have to make some changes and the players are going to have to change their attitude. I went through a season like this when i played and it wasnt fun, but that year it was mainly bc we didnt have enough talent to go anywhere. This year the talent is there, they just need to someone to step up and be a leader and get that talent out of the rest of them.

i hope your right...because we are definately going to need him to go anywhere this year and next year.

Weathers is not a good running back. He is as fast as any running back Huntingdon has ever had but it takes more than speed to be a good running back. He likes the vision and the instincts it takes to be a good running back. I think i would have to try mccadams at running back pretty soon if donald cant play. Weathers hit the hole 90 mph but at some point you have to open your eyes and see the hole.

Its hard for any 2a team to have a good offensive and defensive when 1 of your starting tackles is out for the season with a torn acl and the other possibly broke his ankle and is probably out for the rest of the year. And also you could really tell donald's hamstring was really bothering him other night. I think Huntingdon just needs to do whatever it takes to get into the playoffs and as long as they get in they have a chance

Here are of some things that i have noticed from the games i have watched this year which has been all of them i think.... 1. No playmakers. Our offense always has revolved around the big play and we have nobody that can make those plays this year. The offense in general has been all year though. We put ourselves in bad situations and we cant get out of them. 2. To many injuries to key players. This has already been talked about in these thread but its hard for any 2 a school to lose players and not lose a beat. 3. Absolutely no heart and no emotion. Im starting to believe that there are only a few people on the team that actually care if they win or lose. Its like they are just going through the motions and nothing else. Last week we were down by 14 with 8 minutes left and everybody on defense quit. Chris was getting pushed back 10 yards every play and mckenzie ran the ball down our throat. It was pretty embarrassing if you ask me. If your going to lose you could atleast go down doing your best. Its really bad when our most impressive player all year has been our kicker. 4. No Leadership. Somebody needs to be in the huddle keeping peoples heads in the game. Realistically huntingdon should be 1 and 4 right now, and if somebody dont step up soon its going to be to late. I love Huntingdon football more than anybody but what we have been watching so far this year has not been huntingdon football. 5. There have been more things that have been wrong this year but im not going to call out any names on here so i just hope that everything can get straightened out really soon bc if it cant huntingdon may be sitting at home in november.

Im 90% sure donald will be a vol. He has been up there 2 straight weeks to watch the game and last week got to do the vol walk and sign some autographs... If he doesnt go to tennessee i will be very suprised. And as for Harrison Smith, UT hardly ever gets the best prospects out of the knoxville area so i will be suprised if they get him as well.
