  1. The boards are open some in the spring in order to talk about spring practice either before, during, or after the fact- depending on when a school schedules their practices. This is dfferent from years past where the boards were closed from December until August in order to emphasize the sports that are in season. If fans want to talk football every day in May then it costs them a whole $1.

  3. For those of you who have teams at school, or predominantly from your school, is there a certain sport that the players tend to come from? Soccer, football, basketball.....?
  4. Cookeville defeated Riverdale again, 4-3, to move to the finals against Oakland on Thursday at 6:30 at Oakland.

  6. Game Two Updates: LCHS scores one in the bottom first on a sac fly by Holden Killen which plated Orry Blackwood. 1-0 LCHS after one. Brady Hutton pitching for LCHS. Coffee does not score as a double play ends the inning. Bases loaded for Lawrence County in the bottom of the second. One out. Sanders batting. Double play, three away. (Oakland and Cookeville win today in 7-AAA) 1-0 going to the fourth. Coffee got two men on but do not score. LCHS coming up in the fourth. LCHS scores one as Rogers scores on a single by Curt Watson. 2-0 LCHS. Going to the fifth. Sacrifice bunt moves runners to 2nd and 3rd. Ben Aaron up. Coffee has first and third with no one out. Single to center by George. 2-1 with runners on 1st and 2nd. 3-2 Coffee on a sac fly and a throwing error by Lawrence County. Three outs as we go to the bottom of the fifth. LCHS goes down in the fifth. No runs. Going to the sixth. Still 3-2 Coffee in the bottom of the sixth. LCHS does not score in the sixth. One inning to go. Coffee gets an insurance run making it 4-2. Rogers singles but Killen is thrown out at the plate. Coffee had three on with one out but the batter flied to left and Blake Rogers threw out the runner at the plate attempting to score on the fly. Still 3-1 going to the fifth. Coffee fails to score, getting one runner on via a walk, so we go to the bottom of the fifth. (Stephen Shults, Lawrence Co grad, rode to the game with the team today.
