  1. A perfect breakdown Wes..and a good call on the score. A good mark for you for the excellent breakdown, and good luck to BA...
  2. who is the guy in the upper right hand corner on the message boards with the microphone in his hand and his mouth open?
  3. BA-37, MBA-14 [Edited by rhinob59 on 11-19-02 3:43P]
  4. Maryville is a great team, quite possibly the best in the state. Everyone loses eventually though, and their day will come too. I just hope all of the Maryville fans who have been talking so much all season realize what they are going to get when Maryville does lose, and I hope that even after they lose, they will still support the team...

    Best trainers

Dadgum Doug May from McCallie is in the National Athletic Training Hall of Fame, he works with the Atlanta Falcons on the weekends, and he's been on the medical staff for the Olympics. He may be getting old, mean, and senile, but he's a heck of an athletic trainer dadgumit!!

    Best Kickers

ok, and Vaughn will be kicking for Auburn, and Bliss will be kicking wherever he wants too...the point is though that Bailey won't be able to actually do anything for at least two years because UGA will have at least three guys next year who are already on scholarship to kick, and I'm sure they'll bring in other folks as well. Vaughn will be doing most of Auburn's place kicking right away...

    Best Kickers

so when was the last time Andy hit a 61 yard field goal that would have been good from 68? That's what I thought. I'd take Bliss and Vaughn any day of the week over this guy.
  8. what helped me a whole lot was eating an extra meal. You eat your noraml breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and then before bed, you have a glass of milk and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, or something else like that. It adds extra nutrients, protein and calcium. Also, something else that I've heard works is drinking Slim-Fast with meals. You have one before a meal and one aftter a meal. Instead of replacing the nutrients that you'd take in in a meal, it adds on. You have extra material for your body to work with. The key to all of this is good solid workout habits though...
  9. I'm going to have to go with last years Super Seven state title game between McCallie and BA. A close game to the end, it came down to an amazing offensive drive by McCallie with less than 3 minutes remaining, to kick a game winnin field goal..an amazing game to play in, and I'm sure it was just as amazing to watch.
  10. David Knox-Baylor-Yale Andrew Wilson-MBA-Princeton Keppy Baucom-McCallie-Gardener Webb Chris Bell-McCallie-UT-Martin also, Penn Garvich isn't at Navy anymore..he's playing at UTC next year
  11. Hockey is far more exciting than soccer. I've played soccer, and my girlfriend plays for her high school. It's just not as fast paced and exciting as hockey. I know it gets violent in Europe, but when was the last time you saw a huge fight in an American soccer game? I know that's not the point of either sport, but hockey is a far more exciting spectator sport. Name me 10 professional soccer players here. (Obviously there are some die hard soccer fans that could do this, but the general sports watching community couldn't) Ok, now name 10 pro hockey players..it's easy because you see hockey all of the time on Sports Center.. 12. good call...I thought about putting it here to start with, but decided against it. Also, I just had another thought about it. If the total split does happen, then this would have to be trashed anyway. I think though, if the larger public classes want to say that they are the best in the state, they should stand up and show it. I know someone is going to say something about recruiting here, but leave that out of this...
  13. hey, there are at least 11 of us... Yeah, all of those recruiters and all 10 of you private school fans can go watch them.
  14. I'm sure this idea has been tossed around before, but here's my thought. Not many would disagree with me when I say that 4A, 5A, and D2 AAA are the three top classes in Tennessee High School football. Since the Super Seven teams play a max of three games to win state, many have said that their state championships aren't as impressive. This hits me close to home, but that's beside the point. What if somehow the TSSAA managed to organize it where the state champs of 4A, 5A, and the Super Seven played each other for the overall state championship. I know that many years, there are teams in 1,2, and 3A that could hang with these teams, so here's my proposal: Winners of 1A and 3A play Winners of 2A and 4A play WInner of 5A plays winner of 1A-3A game Winner of Super Seven plays winner of 2A-4A -and then the winners play for the over all state championship. Eventually D2 could become a playoff in itself and the winner would play the Super Seven game. I'm sick and stuck at home tonight, so I thought I'd float this idea out there and hear reactions...
  15. Ok, here's my two cents.. Both teams whipped up on my Blue Tornados this year, but I'm going to go with BA in this game. I got to see a little of the MBA-BA game earlier this year, and I realize that MBA has improved since then, as all young teams tend to do, but BA completely dominated them. They had a heck of a game last night against McCallie, and I don't think anyone would have picked them to completely dominate that game. They've got some great talent, and several of them will be playing on Saturdays in the near future. I'm going to go with BA in this one, winning by 2 TD's or more.
  16. we'd love to get King down here..he's a monster, and he'd be great on the d-line for us in a couple of years...
  17. Yeah, it was fun though, and as long as my Steelers (I was born and spent the first 8 years of my life there..I'm allowed to be a fan) beat the Titans tomorrow, the weekend won't be a complete loss...
  18. Hey Wes, I saw King Dunlap at the Auburn game today with the recruits. How seriously is he considering the Tigers? By the way, thanks for the defense, but I don't really need help defending myself from the neanderthals in Lincoln County
  19. it was a great game..I was ten rows back in the end zone and we had a whole lot of fun...crappy outcome, but great game..
  20. umm..ok..did anyone else understand this guy?
  21. I think if bowling is a TSSAA sanctioned sport, they should at least consider hockey...
  22. You go Coach T! Way to lay the smack down!!
  23. Wow..I don't think any of us saw this coming. I honestly believed that McCallie could win this, but I guess BA gets their revenge. As soon as anyone knows the numbers, I'd be very interested to hear more about turnovers for McCallie. I guess part of me is glad that they held BA to a field goal in the second half, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that BA's starters didn't play the 4th Quarter. Anyway, a crappy end to a season for McCallie, but they've got a lot of hope for the future around there. Good luck to BA now on getting your first Super Seven championship..you guys are one of the best teams around, so go out and show it on Saturday.
  24. I don't believe it, but apparently Red Zone in Chattanooga just reported the score as 35-0 BA at half..McCallie had 3 fumbles that BA capitalized on apparently. I never thought in a million years that the score would be this lopsided, but if it doesn't change, good luck to BA in the Clinic Bowl.... [Edited by rhinob59 on 11-15-02 8:56P]
