I think you are reffering to stephanie and got her and stacy confused. Stacy played at freed- Hardmen and collinwood but not in 88. Stephanie played at collinwood when they won the state in 88. But she didn't play in college.

golfcat I totally agree with you if Summertown, Loretto, and Lawrenceburg all played together they would be a great team. Look at the talent that you guys would have. This will probably never happen but from an outsiders point of view it would be great for the athletic programs. But I totally understand why it can't. It is hard playing for a certain team all of your life and then having to combine with your rivals on the court.

wildcatpride I would not say to much about Perry Co. Coach chasing the refs off the court. Go back a few years to the Junior High County Tour. Then I remember Waynesboro's Coach ,who his now the High School coach, along with the assistants chasing the refs. as they left the court. This has been several years back but it still happened.

I have refereed before and it is very hard to make every call but try to be consistent with your calls from the tip of the game until the final buzzer that is all that most coaches ask. IF the refs are consistent the whole game the players know what they can do and what they can't. Some Refs let you play more physical then others while some don't. But please just be consistent that is all that is asked.

This is always a very good game no matter what the score. If Collinwood can put the ball in the hole and keep up their pressure D they can come out on top if not the cats will give them a run for their money. Where is the game at? That will play a big factor it is always a plus to play at home. From the sounds of this these two teams will match up really well. Weill Brittni and Jana be Guarding each other? These two are very good players. Good Luck to Both Teams

This game should be great Perry Co has the advantage going in by playing at home. If C'wood can come out ready and not get rattled early they can oull it out. If they come out flat and make to many turnovers look for it to be a long night for the Trojanettes. My Pick C'wood by 7

I have not seen Lawrence County play this year but i know that that kristen and Cati got a lot of time in last year. How much time did the rest of the team get? If they did not get as much experience as these two then I can not figure out the problem. The only problem would be if these two was not stepping up and carring the team. It is the first of the season give the team time to get to play together it is a totally different situation when u play in a game. I think Lawrence County will do fine this year. I have to agree with you strength. It is the same in basketball. It has gotten to political and that really is very said for the athletes. Most are very deserving of he awards but when it comes right down to it it depends on who has the biggest pull. I wish there was a way to make it far because I know that a lot of coachs and media don't even see have the nominees play they just see the stats on the kid.

ptguard12 I Think that you hit the mark that looks just like about how the ditrict will go. There will probably be a few upsets here and there but it will all even out in the end. If C'wood can find a scorer they will be hard to handle but they will have to fine one and quick. Perry Co with no doubt be the team to beat. It is always tough to get a "W" at there place no matter if they have a good team or average. The same goes for Waynesboro just a tough place to play with the crowd and everythin. Look for a very interesting season in District 12a this year. p.s. quitfronting I think that the last thread got closed because of people like you talking about the players and not there games.

Any team will struggle when they lose their pt guard no matter how good the other players are. If she is putting players in their place and making every body else look good the team will struggle the next year until some one new fills her shoes. Take Perry Co and Wayne Co it will be tough on them until they get in the grove of having a new pt guard even if all of the girls got playing time last season it is totally different when the pressure is put on your shoulders at the pt guard posistion. Looks like to me the team that will finish first will be the team that can find their pt guard and their go to player first. I don't think that one team or player will just dominate the District this year.

My vote goes to Coach's John and Gail Wild of Lawreneburg. They run a great program no matter where they are at. They are two of the top Coach's in the State in my opinion.

I agree with juanton69 the district will be between C'wood and Perry Co. Put don't put Summertown out they are very well coached the are down but not out. Collinwood needs somone like Hensley or Greer to step and take control of the team to be leader ON and OFF the floor every body else will follow. If they step up they will dominate the district. If not they will play everybody close and win a few and lose a few. As for Waynesboro they have gradually lost key players over the last few years they will be down this season compared to usual but I believe that they will pull a few upsets if teams over look them. The District should be pretty even as I see it. I think that it will be a battle to the end.

Look for Collinwood to surprise a lot of teams this year. They will be young again this year but have some key players returning and some good freshmen that should step right in and get a lot of playing time.

THIS WILL BE A VERY GOOD GAME AND SHOULD BE A CLOSE GAME AS WELL. Collinwood has a great group of freshmen coming in this season. Not to mention another group of 7th graders that will be there in another year. Look for Collinwood to become a top contender in songle A in the next few years.

I am from a Public school so I guess I favor them more but I also see both sides of the story. 1.) If I live in a area like Nashville and my kid had a chance of going to school on an athletic schorlship I would defintly send them to a school that is in the State Tournament every year. Even if it was a private school. 2.) In another situation it is not fare when they get to pick who they let in ,and in this they can stay in Single A . It is not right when a small town school has to play them when they can not pick and choose their students. I do belive that something does to be done about this. What? I don't know but it needs to be a little more equal.
