  1. Quarterback is already replaced. Many felt their backup (freshman) this past season was better than the senior. The discipline problems are gone, either graduating or have already quit. Maddox (79) is a beast and will be back. The future is very bright in Marshall Co.
  2. Well said. The Tigers gave great effort, but sometimes the opponent is simply bigger, faster, and stronger. Great job Tigers, can't wait till next year. Maplewood had easily the best defense and back that the Tigers had faced. Maplewood should slide into the semis with ease as long as they don't turn the ball over. Good luck Panthers!
  3. You can give Stanklaski a multi-million dollar facelift, but at the end of the day the Stank smell of arrogance and filth still remain!
  4. If all of this was coming from anybody other than the usual CoachT morons then I would take offense!!!
  5. I attended that one......not all of them. I was actually there to watch a Giles player. I have no loyalty or tie to Marshall. I just feel, as an outside observer and someone that has to watch lots of ball in this area that they have often been giving a bad rap this year. The future is very bright for that squad.
  6. And I don't even live there......nor am I an alumnus or fan. Go figure!
  7. A fluke??? Was the beat-down put on ya'll by Lawrence Co. a fluke too??? Fairview and Giles both lose a ton after this season. How you figure they're battling out the next two years??? Have you seen Giles's JV play???? Not very impressive.
  8. I'm very sober!!! Keep drinking that Giles cool-aide and swallow hard when the playoff run ends in a few weeks. Stats??? Here's one, the picks were a batted ball and 4 overthrown balls right into the db's chests!!! Anyone with a pulse could have picked those off. Like I said, poor offensive play, Marshall did that to themselves!!! The junior backup did a great job ripping the ball from the starting 140lb. FRESHMAN tailback. By the way, were you at the behind-the-woodshed whooping the Tigers put on Giles in the JV game, using actual freshman and sophmores that don't start? Just wondering. Moving on.....stat two. Offense committed penalties on every possession except for I think 3. Kinda hard to move the chains when it's first/second and 15-20 all night. While I'm thinking about it, nice classy job by the coaching staff going for two and throwing the ball with a 30+ point lead. Any SOB that does that is only asking to get his tail whipped in the future. Congrats Giles on the big victory. Your vetern, semi-talented team was much more ready to play than the extremely young, semi-talented opponent you played. I watched Marshall give away a game a week ago and lose by 6 to a much more talented (than Giles) Page team. You remember them, right? So with that said......yeah, not sold on Giles. Just didn't impress me that much. You go ahead and drink their cool-aide.....I'll pass.
  9. I was thinking the same thing about Giles. Almost all of their points were scored by the Marshall offense (who played their worst game of the year). From all the chatter, I was expecting Giles to be this great power.....found out they were far from it. If Marshall doesn't have 7 turnovers, they're in that game till the end. No team can overcome that. Talent wise, not a huge difference in those two teams.
  10. lol....if you were there and don't know the other 5 then you OBVIOUSLY don't know anything about Marshall. As for the guy that keeps whining about the "thug" qb from East.....HE'S THE ONLY PLAYER YA'LL HAVE!!!!! Leave your personal vendettas at the door. Marshall easily won that game with backups and sometimes 3rd stringers in key positions. It was ugly, but they persevered. Now on to whipping Spring Hill and remaining tied for first in the region!!!!
  11. lol....Marshall was without 6 key players and at no point was that game in question. East had no offense (except for two personal foul penalties that led to the end of half fluke hail mary). Marshall moved the ball easily, just couldn't stick it in. Trust me, no coach or player was ever worried!!!!! East played hard though....never quit!!!!
  12. Marshall beat Hickman in week two moron. Quit living in the past.......you've obviously not seen Marshall play this year. Yes, I've seen both play......Cornersville not that good. Marshall has four guys that no one on Cornersville's team can touch (and one is a freshman). Pinch yourself cause you're obviously dreaming.
  13. I'm a region 6A guy.......I know exactly what the top 6A teams have. Marshall could and would easily compete with them, not to mention that Cornersville is not even a top team in 6A. Cwood, Wboro, Mt. Pleasant and Perry gonna kill Cornersville. I like Cornersville's QB, outside that, none of their skill players would see the field for Marshall. Sorry to burst your bubble but that's how it is.
  14. LOL What are you smoking??? Cornersville can't even compete in their region. Got beat by a not very good CA team (yes, I know they're ranked in 1A but got killed by Cwood & Wboro). They barely beat Loretto who is absolutely horrific. C'mon man, are you serious??? MCHS would beat them like a red-headed step child. Cornersville might have two or three guys that could start for Marshall. Get real.
  15. Let's see.....a miscommunication led to Fairview's only points in the first half with about a minute to play. A couple phantom pass interfefence calls led to more points in the second half......Fairview wasn't that good......that will be proven in the coming weeks. They scored late when Marshall had to go for it on fourth down backed up. Score was definitely not an indication of the play on the field....unless you were drunk in the locker room smelling jockstraps, or just dumb.
  16. Of course I do, 2A (they were 1A for years).......beat Spring Hill, absolutely.....beat Page, they should if they play ball.......beat Giles County, they certainly have a great chance to do so. I didn't say they were going to win out, I said they had just as good chance as anyone. The talent level is second to none in the region. They are lacking in experience but continue to get better each week. I guess we'll soon find out what they're made of.
  17. Name them........and I can assure you that Cornersville and Chapel Hill aren't two of them. That statement shows how dumb you actually are.
  18. Nice to see someone with so much confidence, however Marshall's chances at making the playoffs are as good as anybody's. Anyone at the Fairview game knows they were the better team. They gave that game away with penalties. When healty, they can beat anyone in the region. Only time will tell, but I'm confident that they have what it takes to get the job done. Oh, and your remark about them losing to the other 1A schools in the county made me laugh. They would have no trouble beating Chapel Hill or Cornersville. You sure are cluless to have so much confidence!!!!
  19. Thanks for clearing that up. Since I was at a majority of those games (yes, even the state tournament games), I guess I'm just stupid. I never questioned his record. Like I said, my grandma could have coached those teams......because he sure didn't!!!! The point I'm trying to make is that he highly underacheived!!!! Good seasons, sure.....but nothing what it could have been. Andrews and Daniel's senior season is what I question most. No excuse for him not taking that team deep into the tournament. Facts to you may be wins and losses, to me it's getting the most out of what you've got and he definitely did not!!! Maybe you should get the facts straight or maybe just get a pair of eyes. I never saw him win a game that he shouldn't have, however I saw him lose plenty that he had no business losing. Like I said.....not a good coach, in my opinion of course.
  20. Morris a good coach? Two division 1 players on a single A team without going to the state? Not good......horrible in fact. A blind man could have coached that team to success. He hasn't had much talent since but it wouldn't have mattered if he did. I feel sorry for Stown if he is in fact their new head coach. He'll be sure to kill their program as well. And no, I'm not a Luker fan.....just stating the facts.
  21. Am I missing something here............didn't W'boro lose to that pee wee team Moore Co.????? Was Rice hurt.......did the ball have vasoline on it......did ya'll just play 6????? I'm still a bit confused about it all. I honestly think C'wood could have beaten them blindfolded.
  22. Um.......how did the wildcats lose to them again??????? Easily one of the weakest and slowest Moore Co. teams I've seen in years!!!! I mean C'wood isn't bad, but that was a cake walk. Could have easily scored 80 if we had wanted.
  23. Was Gleason really that impressive????? I must have been watching their badmitten team play!!!
  24. Gleason beat Collinwood by 2 in overtime. Collinwood had the game won with a last second steal that was negated by an erant timeout call by the officials. So that's quite a comment saying that Richland had a better chance than anybody of beating Gleason. I don't get it. They couldn't get out of their region, which was VERY weak.
  25. Let me relay something else that I saw from my living room. Kayla Hudson told the refs thank you as they handed her the ball before every free throw. I've never seen that happen before and I thought it spoke volumes for her. I do not know her personally, but I'm guessing she is a very kind and sweet person........but of course I was in my living room where my eyes may have deceived me yet again!
