MHS is looking for the win over RBS. It's tough that Brewer is getting so much negative feed as defensive head coach. Shouldn't the offensive head coach bear his share? Good Luck Wildcats!

You don't have to worry about the hostile environment too much when you're never in the game. For Monterey to bring the crowd that they brought last night was embarrassing. At one point I counted between 50 and 60 fans in their bleachers. At kickoff there were no more than 30. I feel sorry for the Monterey players. I know they are putting everything they have into becoming a better ball team to represent their school and community, but to not have more support than they had last night was bad. Is there any word on #5? He took some SHOTS last night before leaving. The interstate accident held up many Monterey fans. Putnam county is also on Fall Break and did not run a pep bus..... however our principal and company made it a-ok. I would bet that there are very few other towns that are closer in heart when it comes to these football players. Most of us have been in the "league" since Jr Pro and have waited for the high school careers that were promised. We roar for our team whether they W or L. Believe me - the stands ache when there are 'officiating indiscrestions' and 'coaching blunders'. And - the heart on the mountain is strong!

You've got that right, the team is solid. They deserve a good coaching system - spring practice is awash. Someone may step up to the plate and keep them focused for the season (new teams to play). What's the word on Coach Fuller?

He was adopted by a good family there. He is a sixteen year old freshman by the way.

He probably won't be where he is during the next three years. Got into a little trouble with his language, creatine, and gametime antics. He lost more games than the players did this season and should have listened to his assistant coaches. Parents and players don't want him back, we're hoping for Fuller.

DSL did you get to see the game? I'de like to watch the tape.. it has to be good. Did the jungle eat-m-up?

You heard wrong. One boy pulled a prank and Celina Coach thru a hissy. The team is strong and spirited, and will fight for the game. They have a healthy respect for the skills they are going up against and will come out prepared. It ain't over til........

I think the bottom line is that monterey whooped celina, get over it.........it's not like we only won by 2 or 3 points, for godsake we won by 41. [Edited by TDL on 11-3-02 12:41P]

Still sounds like sour grapes to me. It was the regular season end for both teams and the emotions were high. CHS were resorting to all methods necessary, especially pinching the young oaks to rile things up. CHS got called in the fourth for unsportsman-like conduct also. To get all hissy over a few xerox copies is out of the scope of teenagers and is fueled by someone/thing else. The men on the MHS TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More) are fine sensible, compassionate, and skilled men. We WILL see Clay County High next year, get ready. [Edited by TDL on 11-2-02 8:10P]

Sounds like sour grapes to me. As a Cat that sat on the Dog side for a better view, those dogs dog their coaches in high volume. Both teams played hard and one team won. A simple prank, giving back the words that were dished out. The Cats are first class both on and off the field.
