I went 0-1 with 2 walks and 1 SB. Yesterday was probably the best we've played defensively and pitching wise all year. Our sticks weren't too great (all around that is) because we took 8 days off for spring break, and this was our first game in 10 days. We are 3-2 right now. Sticks will come around though. We play Kingston tomorrow at Loudon. How about ya'll? How you doing this season?

it wasn't in extra innings, it was the bottom of the 7th. I never said Nate wasn't gonna pitch this year. I just didn't know if he was gonna be a closer or a starter.

Should be two very good games. Both teams have some great pitchers and both are teams that seem to get hits when they need 'em.

Bubba Herbold started off the scoring for the Spartans in the first inning with a solo homerun. Nate Hall started pitching for Webb and pitched four good innings, allowing no runs. I don't know how many he struck out, but there were a few. Patrick Kimmons relieved Hall in the fifth inning and pitched three good innings too. However, some timely hits and the umpire tighting up his strike zone allowed Alcoa to score 3 runs in the top of the 7th to tie it up. Nate Hall led off for Webb (With the score being 3-3) in the bottom of the 7th and hit a BOMB to end the game.. For those of you who have been to Webb, the ball went over the trees in left field. Benny Fuller pitched all 7 innings for Alcoa. He did a good job of hitting his spots and throwing strikes.

I haven't heard the score of the Clinton/Hunters Lane game but I'm assuming Hunters Lane won. That would mean that Oak Ridge, Clinton, and Webb all went 1-2 in their bracket. I don't know what the tie breaker was, but it seems strange that Clinton would come in second after being beaten by Webb in a five inning/run rule game.

Webb went to Bearden to play against Karns, but the game was rained out.

Webb dropped their opening game to Hunters Lane 5-2. Then bounced back with a 5 inning victory over Clinton. Webb left the bases loaded 3 times and runners on second and third twice against Hunters Lane. Jordan Wormsley and J.T. Blair pitched againt H.L. and Patrick Kimmons and A.J. Kirby pitched against Clinton.

I don't think any one person stood out hitting tonight for the spartans. Will Rothermel hit a double and I think that was the only Webb hit over a single. It was the kind of game where Webb "played the game" and didn't really crush the ball like they had been doing the past couple scrimmages. David Zeneath (?) pitched for West.

Webb won 7-1. Nate Hall pitched very well for the Spartans, pitching a complete and recording several strike outs.

I HATE THE COLD! Not really sure who is pitching for us tomorrow.... (I'm an outfielder, sorry) and I was so angry today that we didn't play that I didn't think to ask.
