The Oakland defense is alot better than the score indicates...the Falcon defense is AWESOME!!! They forced turnovers and put the offense in good scoring position several times, and given the momentum the Falcon offense didn't disappoint. The Oakland defense didn't give up...played hard until the whistle blew...we just had the MO tonight!!!! Congratulations Falcons!!!!!!!!!! Keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey theraiderman.... I don't have much to do today, and I've noticed that you've started several posts concerning Warren County, so I spent some time reading all your posts...here's what I found. This post is the first one that identifies you as a Coffee County supporter. 1 mentioned Cookeville drinking shutup juice. 18 concern Warren County, all negative concerning the high school and positive concerning the middle school. 1 mentioned east Tn middle schools playing middle Tn middle schools. Ya know, you ought to spend more time supporting Coffee County instead of trashing Warren County. If you have any of that shutup juice you wanted Cookeville to drink, what say you drink some concerning Warren County? I posted a positive note on Warren County several days ago...only two people responded. How far down will the Pioneers have to be before folks stop kicking them?

Sure, Lincoln County could win it all...so could alot of other teams in the state. The problem with talking about it is that it's a distraction - kinda like being distracted by a nice-looking girl while you're driving...you might have a wreck. One game at a time... The players at Warren County deserve better from the media, the lawyers, and all the other forces working against them. You can be sure that Riverdale and Blackman would like nothing more than to see Oakland whip the Falcons...I think there was an Oakland fan rooting for Riverdale on this board a couple of weeks ago. Of course, like you say Oakland would love to be the 'Boro team that put the Falcons down, but I don't think it will happen if we don't turn the ball over and don't commit stupid penalties - we had WAY too many personal fouls and unsportsmanlike conduct penalties when we played Franklin County. Yes...after halftime the coaches and team (minus the injured kid) went back out on the field and Momma didn't see her boy and had to go looking for him. I still believe that had the coach sent the other coaches and the team out while he made sure Momma and her boy were taken care of to their satisfaction, nothing would have ever come of it. Sometimes bad judgement can cost a person alot more than bad actions.

Absolutely, Imaddox...the Falcons will have their best season if they take it one week at a time - basking in past glory or day-dreaming about future glory are two very good ways to shorten the season. Franklin County will NOT come to town intimidated by the Falcon's performance so far. The Rebels would like nothing more than to whack us while we bask in our success. However (and I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record), if the Falcons stay focussed on the game and we don't turn the ball over the Rebels are going to have to work REALLY, REALLY hard to pull this one out. Also, I don't think a Falcon win will necessarily decide the region...Coffee County is another team that will be gunning for us - but we'll worry about that later.

C'mon kingbrian...an 0-0 record is not a winning record or a losing record...it's no record at all. All four Morgan County teams are undefeated against the UT Vols and the Tennessee Titans, too. It's absolutely meaningless to make that statement.

The final score will be: Lincoln County: 10 + {(# Riverdale turnovers inside their own 40) times 5} Riverdale: 12 + {(# Lincoln County turnovers inside their own 40) times 5} I'm giving the Warriors an extra 2 points for the homefield advantage, and I'm counting on the Falcon defense to more than make up for that. Coffee and Franklin counties definitely are in the race. The talk about the Falcons going all the way this year is premature - they've looked good in the games they've played so far, but they aren't invincible, and they'd better keep that in mind each week as they get ready for the next game.
