i dont know if everyone hates them or what but it seems every game the huntingdon mustangs play is a rivalry game. its like they draw the best crowds for away games and they also seem to get the A game of everyone they play. i guess to be the best you have to beat the best and right now they are sitting on top not looking to lose it. but i must say the huntingdon vs milan game last year was one of the hardest fought games ever and for the chance to go to the BC bowl and win the championship. i dont think lipsomb could have beaten either team.

Dyer, Dresden is horrible, i seen them play in a tournament last week. that win proves nothing to me other than you can hit the ball. You have to run through huntingdon come saturday, so you better bring that solid game.

Indian...did you read my post earlier...coaches arent exactly worried about all state when they are trying to advance in the playoffs or getting ready for a state championship..maybe thats why all these teams from east tenn. that i have hardly heard of have all state players and didnt go to the playoffs. possibly the reason is they had the whole post-season to worry about it bc its not like they were still playing. all im saying is that you cant blame the coaches and say they didnt care..they definately care. if you were a coach what would you worry about All-State or State Championship. It takes all state players to get there in most cases but i guess we had a bunch of rag tags and didnt play anyone in the west bc there was no competition. Oh yea also i dont think the second best team in the state(Milan) had any all-staters either...they just had the mr football award winner.

i hope so. i was on the team this year and thought we would have numerous players listed and i see we have none and it really lit a fire. I figure the coach wasnt there but i wouldnt expect him to be there or care if anyone is there in his place....for the past 5 to 6 weeks we have had more to worry about than all state..the voting takes place at the wrong time..last game of the season we play arch-rival mckenzie for the region championship..whose worried about all-state? then for the next 5 weeks we are in the PLAYOFFS..needless to say in that 6 week period no one cares about all state on the coaching staff..maybe a little time other than the day after the championship game is played or in your case the day of the championship game they could give those coaches a little respect and time to get individual stats together to go for the little stupid meeting. the last thing you worry about in regular season as a coach is personal statistics of your players.

Huntingdon just won its very first state championship. it will go down in history...the first team to win with a bunch of rag-tags. sure we had a running back to break the record for most yards in a championship game and tied the record for most touchdowns in a game but he must not be worth a crap or the lineman that opened up holes all season for him to run through or drive an 18-wheeler through. For some reason Lipscombs ALLSTATE linebacker and safety(madison taylor and cutler robinson) seem to have had an off game since they couldnt stop ANYTHING! all i want to know is how does a 2500 yrd rusher not make all state? or anyone that blocked for him or anyone that was a part of the defense who shut LIPSCOMB THE GREAT down and made a record-breaking 6 interceptions in a championship game. another question...ROD SMITH...remember taht name? Mr.Football award winning ROD SMITH. dont remember seeing his name on there either..maybe thats bc not a singer person from west tennessee made the all state list in 2A.

westview will be back, huntingdon will be looking to defend the title in the championship(with pretty good chances i think), milan is always good, mckenzie is hard to tell, union city will be back in the mix with alot of veterans. whoever it will be its going to be tough to get out of the west and the trophy may stay over here and hopefully in huntingdon. great season guys...we done it! now to figure out what size ring i wear.

last time we played ol' number27 didn't have too good of a game. maybe he was down or so but from what i seen he was getting up off the ground an awfully lot. and i seen that first hand.as for mr smith i give him much credit..he can cover a whole secondary it seems and lay a lick to kill someone..but it seems to me mr westtnstate has to hide behind the works of mr smith and other skill players maybe bc he cant tell everyone that he doesnt get a whole lot of playing time.

brink, you better be glad everyone at huntingdon high knows that you are an utter moron. The winner out of the west will win the state, in my opinion. Lipscomb is very beatable, they are very good as well. Lipscomb isnt as good as last year but they are as good as they seem. But knowing that you are a complete idiot, i would think that you would typically think something like this bc you know nothing of high school football. You couldnt make it through off season lifting so you QUIT. In my opinion, if i was you and knowing that i was a waste of oxygen and flesh, i would think to myself "why would anyone care to know my opinion on high school football because i was never good enough to paly it". this is one time it would be smart for someone to take my advice and keep your mouth shut before you let everyone on here know how idiotical you are.

I was told Auburn. MAN he is a hoss. I didnt realize how big he was till I stood next to him on the field after the game. He has alot of potential and I wish the best of luck to him. As for Lewis County, that was a well fought game although I dont think our offense played the best of games but it doesnt matter, offense...defense...its all THE TEAM itself.

I have a question...is this a high school football message board or a SOAP-OPRA! I think this is personal and should probably be settled OUTSIDE of the message boards maybe? Well anyways i would like to say good game to all the players tonight in huntingdon and lewis county's game. Very classy game. The only time cheap shots were thrown were on towards the end of the game when THE INEVITABLE was finally here. Lewis County and as far as I heard the Mustang DEFENSE held the trash talking to a minimal...seeing that our defense was on the field the whole game it felt, but that isnt a bad thing...some of us enjoy this defense more than the offense. As far as those who said Lewis County's defense is better than huntingdon's, i think you might want to wait till the game is played next time before you make a statement like that...or the one that said huntingdon COULDNT score 30 pts on them...all I have to say is be GLAD our offense played like crap the first half.

I couldn't take it. If he doesn't know anything about the obvious that we have more than Terrance then he must either be living in a shell or knows nothing of 2A football. Plus I don't think it will make any difference in what he thinks anyways, but i wouldve like to seen the look on his face when he was awestruck when Boo or Donald took off with a long one. Maybe Lewis Co's defense can prove me wrong but i dont think they have the depth or speed and possibly not the strengh to stay with our offense or defense. good luck to both teams...Lets bring the game home next week stangs.

This...NOT the case. Huntingdon now has both Bell and Donald in the back-field at the same time. Sometimes, them plus Weathers at wing. You stop JUST Bell, you are in for a LONG night. Huntingdon has a stable of running backs that are capable of taking it the distance on every touch. Not to mention, when needed Parish can pass to numerous recievers. Not to mention the re-vamped O-LINE that is ready to hit any and EVERY play now that we have the right players in there.

Bell isn't the only back Huntingdon has, we have a freshman who is about 6'3, 190 and a sophmore in "Boo" Weathers who is very explosive and hard to find running amongst the linemen. YES! Huntingdon's linemen deserve alot of credit for last nights victory over Chester Co. Great season to the Rebels good tough players maybe you can come back stronger next year. As for Bell and our stable of running backs, Bell is about 80 yrds from 2000 and Donald, I'm not too sure, but I think maybe close to 500 or 600. Weathers doesn't have much, he doesn't run a whole lot but when we need him he comes through running and receiving.

Yes you can...Oh yea back to the subject of the HUNTINGDON running game....I believe Terrance is about 80 yards shy of 2000....thats a statement. I'm not sure how many players we have had with 2000 yards in history, but it cant be many. He has been very impressive this year and even better now that him, Weathers, and Donald are on the field at the same time. Pick your poison. I hear this Lewis Co team has strength and power with not much speed, but no under-estimation here. They have been fighting hard all season. Regardless of how they got it, they are still undefeated. If anyone has any insight as to how many, if any, 2000 yard rushers Huntingdon has had, would you mind posting it for me?
