  1. Dang I wish I would have paid more attention is Spanish.
  2. Fitzpatrick does not dip so I do not understand that post. He is however a great guy who has put his heart and soul into that program for years. I for one am thankful for what he did as a coach, a teacher, a grounds keeper (for no pay) and as a bus driver. Not only that he is a very good friend and like a second father to many of us who played for him.
  3. I have a feeling this year will be a little different.
  4. Glover, haven't you got some boards to break? /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> jk I coached 1 year at RBS and we did have a QB to line up behind the left guard once. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Of course he was a freshman and was scared to death.
  5. It is my prediction that Westmoreland will win this game by 21 or more points. I hope however that I am badly mistaken. I would love to see an upset.
  6. I miss those days and being part of that region. It seemed like every week was a rival and every week seemed to be do or die. Look forward to watching a Great one on the Creek Bank this week.
  7. I never said I was a great Coach, I was only a measely D-line coach and with the players and depth I had at those positions I didn't have to be a good coach. If you would read my other post I said that I no longer Coach because of having children. I do not believe it would be fair to a football program if I tried to coach and in the back of my mind I was wishing that I was spending time with my girls. I actually gave it a shot at the beginning of the season last year even without a supplement with the understanding with the head coach that it was only temporary. I hate that I am not missed in Macon, I love Macon County and wish everyone there well. I for one continue to support the coaches and the program there. I don't think I was the one that said Prock did not do a good job, I just stated some facts of things that took place while I was there. They also hung a basketball coach out to dry that had been there for 8 years. He had a legal issue with not being tenured but being the good man he is he did not persue it. I think the slamming came from somewhere else. I was only stating facts.
  8. It is great that you have those State Champoinships, but I wouldn't state it that way.
  9. Wow, it is amazing how many pages can pop up on a Trousdale vs. Smith County post in one day. I am picking Smith County in a close one tomorrow night. Nothing against Trousdale, they have a great team but I think they can be beat. As far as my opinion on some other topics on this thread I agree that everytime a player delivers a HIT he should do so with all he has. As long as it is not dirty or cheap, Clean hits are the only way to play the game. If they are taking shots with the intent of putting someone out of the game then I have to say Boooooo to whoever they learned that mentallity from. I also think it is sad when people post negative things about these young men that give us this great entertainment on Friday nights in its purest form, such as get your back up QB ready. As to the dumbest thing I have ever heard (dumping a load of nails in a parking lot) 1. I would like to know who could afford that, the last time I bought a 50 pound box it just about broke me 2. Nails dont usually cause you to have to buy new tires, slashing them however will. 3. Not every Smith County vehicle could fit in the same parking lot so yes Slimshady you were talking about slashing tires. 4. It is a terrible attempt to try to keep some Smith County fans from coming to the game, it will not work. 5. Why am I even wasting my time worrying about anybody that would name themselves after Slimshady? I musy have no life.
  10. Here we are in Wilson County not even able to come up with the money to run our school system and you all are able to take 3 pep buses all the way to Choo Choo town. I think that is GREAT. One thing that is always true about Macon County whether they are winning or loosing, they will bring a crowd.
  11. Hey, thanks for the input. It is good to finally see a Hixson fan on here. Yeah the tigers are going to have a bit of a road trip ahead of them. That can sometimes be like starting a game already down by 7 but I believe the tigers can over come the travelling. Good luck to both teams.
  12. Prock had little to do with my decision to leave, and his wife was actually very helpful to me in the classroom. It had more to do with things such as being cussed and threatened over not playing someone's child who did absolutely nothing during practice, being blessed out over not agreeing with a QB club member when being asked what I thought about them buying the boys a ring if they did not go all the way the very day before we were playing Smith County in the 3rd round. My answer was that I felt the same way the boys did, that rings are for the state champs, that did not go over well. I will agree tha the school bored "forgetting to grant my tenure" after the 2002-2003 school year did weigh a little, but they gave it to me after the 2003-2004 school year.
  13. I think you took my post wrong. The "lol" and the "jk" should have indicated such. I know both these guys and can remember watching them play. I have no problem with them. I have not even heard one of their broadcast yet.
  14. Teaching D-lineman to recognize the screens is about the toughest thing I have ever tried to do. It took a lot of reps against O-lineman that new how to do it. JC loke most teams does not have enough depth to have their starting D-line going up against their starting O-line to give them any kind of look.
  15. Is Mark and Tim the best they could come up with? lol jk. I was just wondering because of the earlier post about the radio.
  16. Can anyone let me know who is doing the radio up there now? Also, what has Hixon got this year. Are they a running or passing team. Anyone with any reports on them yet?
  17. It was Prock. He had the power.
  18. We did make it to the playoffs but never won a game once getting there. I think we did make it to a play off game or a bowl game in the early 80's with Clay Phillips and Tony Woosley. I never said we didn't. I just said it was the first season we had worth bragging about. 7-3 in the regular season and loosing in the first round is not really worth bragging about. It is good, don't get me wrong, but just a little short. JMHO
  19. Hmmmmm, wonder what that might be......... /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  20. Easy on my tires now slimshady. I have Smith County tags, I will be at the game, but I have no ties to the program. I have lived in Smith County for 7 years and just want to see a good football game. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> BTW, if you are going to call yourself slimshady you have to be ready for a little name calling from time to time. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  21. I wish I knew something about Hixon to actually be able to discuss this game. I know that the tigers will put everything they have into this game and hopefully that will produce a win. tnchad, did you play at Macon? Or graduate from there? Glad to see your support of the program. I do miss the "good times" I had there as a player and a coach.
  22. I am at Watertown but I am not a coach here. I hung my Coaching hat up when we started having children. I do attend all the games and support the program here. We are 1-2 so far with losses to Trousdale County and the best Dekalb County team I have ever seen.
  23. Westmoreland will win this one by 24 points.
  24. I have seen him play, he is going to be very good but to say that he will shatter anything that TT did is a little out there. He has a long way to reaching TT's abilities. And remember, TT couldn't be stopped in 3-A and playing in what was the best 3-A region in the state from top to bottom. Every year someone with a 7-3 record would miss the playoffs while other regions would have teams with 1-9 records making the playoffs. I miss that region.
