  1. Dragon, if Clinton can find a way to win this one, I'll be impressed. AC is really humming along now, although their schedule the past 3 games has helped a lot with that. The amount of mental fortitude it takes to run through a 3-game stretch like this one for Clinton is significant, especially since they're hunting for that first quality W. Maybe the Dragons find enough extra juice for this one, but I think AC wins by a couple of scores.
  2. Here's hoping they have something left in the tank. I have to think that they last two games have taken a lot out of them emotionally.
  3. Agreed. I saw them against Central a couple of weeks ago, and there's definitely talent on the roster.
  4. What has happened to the Owls the past 4-5 seasons? They've completely fallen off of a cliff.
  5. Wow, what a night for #80. That 50 yarder should put it away, 34-17.
  6. Under 3 min left, Powell still leads 27-17, with the football near midfield.
  7. WRs for Powell have got to help their QB out. Way too many dropped balls this season, especially given how little they actually throw it.
  8. Panthers lead 27-17, headed to the 4th.
  9. Yup, he's all arm when he throws.
  10. Boy, Rodgers is just putting the offense on his shoulders tonight.
  11. They've been using #27 and #80, so both primary backs are out.
  12. Anyone know the status of Wheeler? He hasn't played very much in this one.
  13. Powell's defensive line dominated the first half, and that INT by Soles late in the half was incredible. Would have had 6 had he not lost his balance outrunning the Halls QB. Halls had about 75 total yards in the first half, and almost all of it came on one drive. If not for the long INT return on Powell's opening drive, this game would be all Panthers. Nice response by Halls on their opening drive of the second half, as they score on 4th and goal to make it 20-17. Halls just hanging around, and that has been a problem for Powell all season long.
  14. Glad you brought that up. I know where I stand on that one
  15. In the end, Bearden looked like the better team, but not by a lot. Statistically, Farragut was better than Bearden in the first half. The Bulldogs had less than 100 total yards at the half, and I think half of those yards came on one pass play. That said, Farragut didn't do very much either in the first half. Bearden was able to run the ball more effectively in the second half on a couple of drives, and that was about it. Neither team was a threat in the passing game, which was disappointing. I know Bearden is dealing with some injuries, but I think JJ was content to just make Farragut go the length of the field in the second half, because the Admirals couldn't do anything offensively after halftime. Kudos to Bearden's defense because Farragut had less than 50 total yards in the second half.
  16. Great defensive struggle so far. Farragut has done nothing in the second half, but they are back in it thanks to that blocked FG return.
  17. I think a lot of it is coaching, Nole. They've definitely got some players, but I just don't think they are emphasizing defense very much. Sure, they may overwhelm the Scott/Campbell Counties, but they aren't going to do that against the bulk of their schedule. They've given up 40+ in each of their losses. I don't know if OR hits 40, but I like the Wildcats to the tune of 38-14. Powell literally had their way them, and the Panthers didn't punt the ball once last week. Ran it right down their throat.
  18. I still think you guys name the score here. Carter is not that good. SD's lone win was against a winless AE team. GP might be the only decent win on their schedule, but the collective record of the teams that GP has beaten is a whopping 1-19.
  19. Clinton's defense is not very good. You guys will be fine.
  20. Clinton's defense is not very good. OR should bounce back and win comfortably.
