  1. I've never been more proud to call myself a Green Wave fan. After a tough season last year, it is great to see that this year's squad is capable of overcoming these kinds of obstacles. For the first time in a long time, I have to tip my hat to the coach for a very well managed second half, especially the clock managment on the last drive.
  2. What an unbelievable comback by the Wave. Lebanon was killing Gallatin off the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball in the first half, and Gallatin was failing miserably at an attempt to play inspired football. However, after halftime everything changed. Gallatin began to play with emotion and was able to keep the Blue Devil D on the field for almost the entire 3rd quarter, which really seemed to wear them out. One of those games that I will remember for a good while! You missed out if you decided to skip this one. What a game! GO BIG G
  3. The thing that will give the Wave an advantage in this game will be the ability to continuously rotate defensive players. In the Beech scrimmage a week ago Friday, Gallatin played 12 different linebackers and 8 or 9 different d-linemen. This is exciting for a Wave fan, because they will have the depth to keep fresh legs on the field all night. I can't wait to kick the season off Friday at Lebanon. Its always fun to play there, but its much more fun to win there /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  4. I have not seen or heard much from Lebanon this offseason. I do know that Gallatin has a lot of talent and some new looks to both offense and defense. The new 3-3 stack D has been great for the wave since its inception this summer. Lebanon and Gallatin is always a good one, and I don't see any reason why this one wouldn't be great.
  5. After a very strong showing at Beech last week, how will Gallatin fair versus the Blue Devils at the Wave Yard Friday night?
  6. This is awesome news for the Wave. I have always wanted to go to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and this is gonna give me a reason to go! Maybe some of the Wave faithful will want to go up early enough to tour the Hall of Fame.
  7. Thanks for the update BHS. Gwave i heard 6 or 6:30 too. That is what the Hendersonville Star said anyway. But you know how those Hendersonville folks are /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
  8. Its gonna come down to the Gallatin vs Hunters Lane game this year.
  9. I confirmed the all day thing this morning. I am not sure when the full on scrimmage will be though. Any more info. anyone?
  10. Blackman is the first Sat. in Aug isn't it?
  11. Awesome. That certainly will give much more opportunity for preseason assessment. Can't wait to check out camp this year. Its great to hear about the much needed facelift.
  12. Does anyone know when and where Gallatin is going to camp this year. Also, who is the wave going to camp with?
  13. The more I read the more pumped up I get. I really like the post that states that Indy wins and is "No Matchup", it makes me giggle to myself that someone could be that naive. Granted, I am not saying Gallatin will come in and dominate, but to dismiss this as "No Matchup" is absurd. Your idiocracy, however, is forgiven.
  14. For the better part of the past decade, Gallatin had been playing the roll that Indy is playing in this game; #1 or 2 seed looking at a double digit underdog. However, Gallatin now finds itself in a possition with nothing to lose. That could be a dangerous thing for the Eagles. This Gallatin team is unlike any i've seen. They have played their most inspired football when it has mattered most. Like Gwave1, I think this Wave team has yet to play its best game this season. I won't throw all the tradition stuff at you, but though Indy is clearly the better team on paper, Gallatin has all the intangibles going into this game. Should be a great one. I look forward to visiting a new stadium. REMEMBER THE G FACTOR
  15. ^ I sure bet that poor kid gets sick of watching Gaston Miller break that takle, tdntn, LOL l l l
  16. I am so gald that we are rekindling this rivalry this season. Smyrna is always a great opponent, and the fans are as classy as they come. With that said, I have to agree with Gwave in that Gallatin is not where they have been in the past. The D finally showed up in the Glencliff game to pitch a shut out to a team that runs the spread offense. However, most of the Glencliff recievers have hands of stone. To be quite honest, Gallatins secondary just isn't very good. The key will be for Gallatin to put pressure on Gray, because if he can put it within 5 yards of Rod Wilk, we are in trouble. If the Smyrna team that I saw embarass Siegal shows up, it could mean trouble for the Wave. Now that I am through pointing out the negatives, the play calling in the Glencliff game was the best I've seen from a Lassiter led staff in several years. We mixed it up, and didn't abandon the passing game even when it was off a little. I hope to see an amazing crowd show up for this game!
  17. I've heard stories of all of the games that Gwave1 mentioned, and I hope this will go down as a rekindling of an age-old rivalry. I can't wait until Friday and I hope there are a bunch of fans at this game. I would love to see this Cruz kid line up at tight end. Kind of looks like Jordan Demonbruan from a few years back.
  18. Now that you have had time to cool off after bashing your keyboard with all those caps, I will make my reply. First of all, it is absurd that you would post explitives on a (in caps so you can understand) HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETICS message board. Oh and way to degrade that players by calling them undisciplned. I hope you feel like a big boy. Secondly, any blind bafoon could see that the play calling at Gallatin has been suspect for quite a while now under the direction of Coach Lassiter. I have said it a thousand times... Lassiter is the best preperation coach in the state, but when it comes to in game decisions...We'll run a sweep on 3rd and a mile or We're not gonna throw untill we've already lost the game.
  19. Gallatin had a hard way to go last week, and have a lot of kinks to work out. With that said, Hillwood is going to be a cake walk compaired to Lebanon. If Gallatin limits mistakes, they win by 21 or more.
  20. Gallatin will travel down I-440 this Friday to take on Hillwood. Both teams have had a bit of rocky start. Hillwood is 0-2 dropping games to Father Ryan and Lavergne: two very respectible football programs. As for the Wave, Lebanon came into the Wave yard and beat them 24-10 last Friday. How will these teams match up in what has, in the past, been a very lopsided matchup? Hillwood has played two very tough teams, but still have only managed to put 6 points on the board thus far while giving up 72 points in their first two games. Gallatin should be able to work out some kinks in this game and still come out with a W.
  21. Lebanon played very good football. Their line O line simply didn't let Gallatin penatrate at all last night. As for Gallatin, they have a lot of raw talent but harnessing that talent and using it to their advantage will be the key. I won't ever understand using 2 T.O.s in the first 5 min. of a half because you won't send the plays in with a WR. I also don't understand the sweep toss on 3rd and 17 from your own 22 yard line???? Good luck to the Devils this year. I hope you guys give Riverdale and Smyrna a run for their money.
  22. The day has finally arived. It is once again time for football at the WAVE YARD!!! I hope to see a monster crowd tonight as the weather is going to be nice for the first time in a long time. This is going to be a great game and if it is anything like last year's game, we are in for a treat.
  23. Boo is by no means the only player that Gallatin will have this season. Sanchez Holder at RB will be a good candidate for 1000 yards this year. Not to mention the depth and size at WR. That's not to mention Jontae Gleaves.
  24. I think alot of people are going to be surprised by the talent Gallatin has this year. It is always tough when you graduate 45 seniors, but people are overlooking how much experience this team really has. Several of the players on both sides of the ball may not have been starters last year, but got lots of PT none the less. In fact, that was the key to Gallatin's sucess last season...they were so deep that they could play fresh guys all game long on almost every down. As for this game, Lebanon will be strong this year, but will at best be third in the region just due to the unbelievable amount of talent in the region. I know that they will play Gallatin tough, they always do. I think this will be a very close game, but I will go with Gallatin by 7. What does Lebanon's depth look like this year?
  25. Is Gallatin going to scrimmage anyone this Friday? Normally there is a scrimmage the Friday before the Jamboree.
