i agree, jordan leen is probably the best. i am tired of the whole maryville team running their mouths all the time. accomplish something or win an individual state title before coming onto this site and running your mouths. thanks.

you haven't beaten us or anyone else worth noting, so mind your manners and don't talk smack unless you can back it up. I have great respect for the maryville team and the amount of improvement they have made this year, but some of you are getting too big for your britches and need to learn to shut your mouths.

has anybody in div II ever heard of this guy, he is ranked in tennbest and silverbullet, but i have never heard of him or seen him wrestle a match, is he a transfer student?

" get out of our threads", hmm seems to me that if this is your thread, and you only want to hear good comments about your team's ability to beat weaker teams, then you should bypass the whole coacht system and just pat yourselves on the back everyday in the practice room. the threads are for everybody. if you don't like what is posted or said, then don't get on coacht. i am not trying to put down the accomplishments of the maryville wrestlers, but if your team wants higher recognition and respect, then they need to step up the level of their competition.

it is easy to be undefeated when you only wrestle poor teams, try wrestling bradley, cleveland, mba, ryan, mccalllie, clarksville, or anyone else with talent. it might taint your record a bit.

MBA(no. 7) beat clarksville(no. 5) 31-35, yet MBA is still ranked Seventh. Hopefully the next tennbest rankings will reflect this win.

Luttrell from MBA placed 2nd last year(DII) and convincingly beat Marable in freestyle last spring. I would put him winning DII this year, with Marable winning next year at 171 or 189.

Hey mafiaman, Maybe you should chekc you sources, that student was admitted, HOWEVER: He is no longer at MBA because he couldn't keep up with the academic work. He doesn't go to our school anymore because, at MBA, academics come first. Maybe you should get the full story before you run your mouth and look ignorant. Any other comments?

I attend MBA. We do not recruit> we do give need based aid. however this aid is simply for students who have already been admitted on an academic basis and simply need a boost in order to take advantage of the opportunity to attend MBA. Perhaps you should do some research before insulting us like that. very few of our players receive financial aid and, of those, only one or two started this year. I cannot speak for alternative schools in the super seven, but i can speak for MBA. Let me raise the question of advantage. Public schools can choose from thousands of students to play football while private school have very few to chose from. Who has the unfair advantage( assuming that MBA does not recruit)?

I start on defensive line for mba. Well to begin with we were fairly worried after the first denfensive series when ba drove down the field and put up a field goal. After our offense scored( which they had been unable to do during the first game) our confidence went up. finally the defense settled in. At the half the defense felt good about the game thus far while coach rutledge was furious at the offense for missing two chances to score touchdowns just before the half. He said that the next series on defense(Ba would receive the ball) was the most important. When the kick off return ended up on the 5 yard line, Ba simply stopped trying to win. Their entire team look glazed and unmotivated. MBA just kept on doing what they had been doing and won the game. Personally, i was waiting the entire game for BA to start whipping us. BA hadn't ever come from behind in a game and I don't think they knew how to react to being down 14-3 at the half. BA showed tremendous class after the game was over, they had a great season, and have always made for a tough opponent. Congratulations to All

MBA will take the Rossview tournament. clarksville will probably place 2nd , kenwood third. This is assuming that the outta state teams are not stacked.

Simpson will be going 112 this year. so, unless leen is especially "lean", then they probably will not meet at any point. i really cannot tell how they will match up. i think it would come down to one or two points. simpson has drastically improved since last year.

with a strong returning lineup, including five favorites for state champions (Lutrell 171, Goodman 189, Thornhill 215, Cooper 275, and simpson 119) as well as a pack of 3rd and 4th place finishers returning to the lineup, MBA will proove too much for baylor, cbhs, father ryan, and maybe even mccallie. we will have to see, but MBA is going to surprise alot of people this year.

true, i was there though and the only reason marable was in a position to win was because goodman, up until that day, had never wrestled freesyle, nor had he wrestled since the state tournament. just wait till the season and see who will win when and if they wrestle.

true it will depend. marable will probably go 189. black luttrell is at 171 and beat marable in freestyle. although marable will be a heavy contender for 189, goodman will more than likely come out on top with marable coming in 2nd.

note: thornhill has only wrestled for 2 years; he just does it year round.

well our upper weights(171-heavy) look good and then we have william simpson who won last year. aside from that we have people here and there that willplace but there are 1 or 2 gaps in our lineup which need to be filled( i am not sure how we will do it). what about you guys?
