  1. Makes no difference if Greenbrier had won or not. Herndon easily gets my vote.
  2. When I was in college, I had a little more to do then punch on a computer. So little tells so much.
  3. Would you wake up you goof? Listen to what people who actually walk the walk are telling you. Are you saying those folks arent christians also? Give me a break young one. No one is doubting you, we are just saying you are wrong.
  4. Golly, you guys are on Mikey Stuart really hard! I wonder why no cuts were made while his kids were in school? Isn't this the same Mike Stuart who once co-signed a booster (he was the president of the booster club if my memory serves me correct) club check to pay the rent of a local basketball player, all while he was serving on the Cheatham county school board. Surely he wouldn't do anything fishy with someone elses money would he?
  5. Politics as usual in good ole Cheatham County. Boy, wouldn't it be nice to have that power company revenue that was gonna come your way a few years back but the glorious commission turned down because of a few people whining. Just think, somebody...somewhere.... is getting all that money right now.

    Dead Period

Thats ridiculous. The schools bought the uniforms also but that doesnt mean they could attach a spike to the helmet, or hire Eddie George to play tailback. TSSAA is a Volunteer orginazation and no one has to be a member. If you would like to circumvent the rules then that put you in the class with lets say.......some of the past privates. IT IS ABOUT INTEGRITY. SOME PLAY BUY THE RULES AND OTHERS FIND WAYS TO CHEAT.

    Dead Period

Certified volunteer coaches fall under the same rules as on staff coaches. Working non football related jobs is a totally different matter however. It all falls back to a matter of integrity and those who dont have any will cheat. Thankfully there are very few of those.
  14. If you do the numbers it actually takes 5 privates going DII before it effects the overall picture of DI by 1 position. (You take out five from the total and then divide the remaining number by 5) However, if you are a 1A, 2A, or 3A school, and the multiplier causes a private to leapfrog over into the next class then the dividing line between those classes slides down one school. (The smallest school in the higher class would then become the largest school in the smaller class) If my math is correct, the most possible movement there could be would be 5 places in between classes. The most likely senario would be however 2 places as not every private will bolt to DII nor will they all move to a larger class.
  15. Those are last classifications numbers and mean nothing this time. The TSSAA simply list every one in D1 smallest to largest, divides by 5, and then move those up in class that wishes too. Actually the class division numbers are smaller this period than last, probably due to a slowing economy (less people), and to counties adding more schools and reducing the numbers in each school.
  16. The biggest scoop is that Cheatham and Fairview are possibly sliding up to 3A!
  17. White House will be a 3A team...true that.
  18. After carefull analysis and number crunching here are some of the more intresting possiblities for class changes. This observation is made after removing current DII schools and making the likely assumption that a few more privates will go DII after the instituion of the 1.8 multiplier. This also does not take into account teams playing up by choice. 1A- Seems likely that Mt. Pleasant, Trousdale, and McKenzie will play small ball. 2A- Smith County, and York Institute looks as if they will return to AA. 3A- Fairview and Cheatham County are possibly moving up. Chester County and Station Camp as well as White House are a definite 3A schools for the next 4 years. Also Dyersburg and Haywood County will move down to 3A. Memphis East could possibly slide down to 3A as well. 4A- Portland looks reasonably fixed as a 4A team, along with Springfield and Jackson Northside (although Northside could, maybe, slide to 3A). Page will be a solid 4A team as will Henry County coming down from 5A. Mt. Juliet will be 4A and Munford as well. Here's a biggie, Brentwood, Glencliff, and Oakland all have an outside shot of slipping to 4A! 5A- Nothing significant due to overall numbers seeming to be down a little this year. Antioch is now the biggest school in the state at 2461...WOW!
