I think for soddy to be successfull this next year they will have to come together as a team. I honestly don't think that this next years team has the talent and expirence that some of the teams over the last couple of years have had, but we had some other major problems other than that. I know that is has always been kinda juniors against seniors.....i know that my senior year that was a huge problem. Also they lineman and the running backs over the last couple of years have kinda been at each others throats. This will HAVE to change if you want to be successful. I think that soddy will also maybe have to play more towards there strengths of this years team and not just to resort to what has worked in the past. Because my senior we might have been able to grind the ball with two 3 year starter running backs and an expirenced line. This year you may also be able to do that but if you can't you will have to play towards what your team is the best at......i wish yall the best of luck next year!!!!!! GO TROJANS!!!!!

Ok yall all know who i am. I agree with Shipley in some regards because yall did lose some quality seniors. Him....who had a solid junior year(blocked a kick to send us to the playoff)......slater......who started to or three games as a sophmore.......carriker......tight-end of the year his junior year in the region.......pugh....started some as a sophmore......corny.......murray.......trey.....and some more......and i don't appreciate yall saying that about former seniors......because i missed one game this past year and will always be supportive.........i do think that yall do have some holes to fill.....db's are going to have to work hard.....the line is going to have to come together quickly because they don't have a whole lot of expirence..running backs should be solid but need to read the field better(not a knock just tring to coach some on what i see)......but all of them physically are better than i was......wide recievers are going to have to step up because they don't have hardly any expirence....and i am sure that there is other places that you will have to fill....but i want to wish you guys good luck!!!!!! and i hope that do good.......running backs if you need anything let me know........i forgot to mention beavers and i think that his performances while he was at soddy speaks for itself

I would think that if he was that good then he would have gotten some playing time. Soddy should be pretty decent this year but are untested on the offensive line as well as losing a lot of starters on defense. They have a ton of running backs that got expirence this year. For them to be succesful they are going to have to start running smart......like seeing the holes and making cuts instead of just running striaght ahead......they all have the potential to make up a great backfield [Edited by pioneer8991 on 1-19-03 3:40P]

Yes Josh Elsea could also have a good year for soddy daisy. I am currently at utc....i went to mtsu for a semester and decided to come back because i am going to walk on for football there. Batboy i had a chance to play at probably chatt state.....clevelend state....hiwassee......and dyersburg state(told me i could maybe start for them)......but for some reason i didn't take any of my chances...kinda wish i would have.....and who is your girlfriend??......and did you play ball anywhere???

I know that soddy has one lefty that i caught last year. Chris Combs. He is a really good relief pitcher and i think has what it takes to be a really good starter. He just needs do develop a little more endurance. Yes batboy i am soddy daisy catcher from last year...(ben parker)

Soddy's cacther from last year was Ben Parker. This year it is kinda of a toss up between a few guys. Alex Vaughn a sophmore that got limited actio last year. If Josh Hicks is eilible he could see some playing time. Has great talent but needs to refine his skills. There is also David Stitt who will be a senior and maybe would have been the backup last year but did not tryout. Also Drew Henderson who will be a junior i heard looked good during the summer. Ben split time with senior Ryan Coffee is junior year and cought almost every game last year so the cacthers at sd are young but many are very promising

I used to go to Soddy and i am not saying that they are the absolute bests fans, but i do have to say that we were and they sure are the best fans in Chattanooga!!!! I am not sure about the rest of the state???

I think that soddy should have a solid hitting team this year. Some of the pitchers are going to have to step up with the loss of 3 senior picthers. They are also going to have to fill some holes where they don't have that much expirence.(catcher) I am not sure about the rest of chattanooga....i am sure mccalie will be solid......hixson sure did lose alot........baylor should be pretty good.....red bank also had a young team last year. But these are all just guesses. We will see in may who are the top teams......i once had a coach tell me MAY MATTERS!!!!!

I have to admit that yall are a great student section but i don't know if yall are as good as us yet!!!! Until yall dress up you might not have us beat, but i think yall have more fans that come than we did. Oh and just let me know when yall go to play cchs this year and i will make the trip with ya!!!!!!

has a former member of the student section at soddy called the daisy crazies i can tell you that they do get freaking rowdy. We started getting crazy my sophmore year..on into my junior year....and last year too but this years students are nuts.....they got really loud the other night against red bank and maybe even louder than we use too.....maybe

I haven't really seen leen wrestle but i have watched kyle and he is one heck of a wrestler. I would to see that matchup though. But i would have to put my money on kyle. Good luck for the rest of the season.

I don't think Ben Parker will be out there!!! Slater doesn't wrestle anymore and shipley didn't wrestle this past year but is this year. I don't think Trey will be as good as Will was but is strong as an ox and has some potential

I don't know where some people come up with this stuff. I was with Chris the other day and he didn't say anything about his back and it didn't seem to be bothering him. I don't know how you can't put him up there to win the state championship when he beat Cordell twice last year. I am not saying that he will walk through the state because if him and cordell will wrestler it should be a good match!!!

The Red Bank vs. Soddy Daisy game in 97 was for the region championship and brought in 15,000 fans at Finley Stadium the final score i think was 31-24 or something around there

Being from Hamilton County we have about 15 schools or somewhere around there. So i am not sure who gets the county name... it could be Soddy Daisy... Red Bank... East Ridge.... Brainerd... Howard.... Central... Baylor... McCallie... Ooltawah.... CSAS... CCS....... I would also have to say Andy Bailey from McMinn is up there. I played against him last year while at Soddy and i returned kickoffs and punts.....the guy is one heck of a kicker!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The soddy team in 96 with Jarvis Smith,Lydell Blue,Conal Jones and a host of others were a tough bunch. They made it to the quaterfinals and ran into a tough Jeffreson County team that put them out. Soddy made a lot of mistakes in that game. I think Jeff County indeed up getting beat by Brentwood Academy. It was during the last year of their rein i think. The Soddy team of 97 i think was the best team that soddy ever had. A last game lost to Red Bank cost them dearly giving them second place in the region and pinned them against eventual state champion Riverdale in the second round. Riverdale beat them 20-10.....Should have been the Championship game.....Soddy had Chuck Losey(Vandy)...Lydell Blue(Carson Newman)......Conal Jones.........and quite a few others that played college ball.....David Collet(Tn. Tech)...signed with Colts Red Bank in 1990 was stacked too. Had Marty Lowe at qb and maybe Cory Simpson at wide out.....got upset in 1st round against Clevend i think. Let me know some of yours!!!!!

I don't know a whole lot about the team this year. I know that they have Chris Brown,Jon Lane,and Kyle James coming back who could all make a run at state. Who else do they have that could make some noise???? Let me know i am curious

Being from Soddy and expirencing coming down both sides of the stands with we will rock you playing then the band starts playing and you walk out to diffrent sides of the "t". Then running down both sides of the "t" with the cheerleaders in front of you and the crowd roaring. pretty cool... tell me some more of nice entrances.
