I think our QB threw an interception on a screen play that was returned for a touchdown. This, if I am correct, was the turning point in the game.

I remember that the Soddy Daisy team in 1997 was also very stacked. Went undefeated in the regular season until they lost to Red Bank in the final game of the regular season. Went ended up hurting them because that gave them the second seed from the region and pitted them against Riverdale in second round. People around Soddy Daisy like to claim that was the de facto state championship game. I will say that Soddy Daisy team was pretty loaded.

Was he the TE that was suppose to go to Tennessee. What was the situation with that I can not remember? Plus I wanted to post something because I have not posted on here in LOOOOOOONG TIME!

In 2000 Soddy Daisy and Hixson played in a 14 inning game. Bj Church pitched i think 8 for Soddy and struck out something like 20 people, and Brandon Wright pitched for Hixson and had a stellar game as well. Was the longest game i ever played in.

Good Luck to all Chattanooga area tems....i hope Red Bank and Marryville both win so we can see that match up at Red Bank!

I would love to see this game! I would also like to see Hoover play against Parkview in their hayday or maybe the Red Bank team in 2000. I think that Hoover would have to get the nod but i don't think that they would blow out Maryville.

I hope so....and i also hope that i can be in town for that.......i would like to see soddy and the owls play for both the region....and district championships....no offense red bank

My sophmore year at Soddy Daisy(2000) we played Hixson and it went 14 innings. Brandon Wright(Hixson) and BJ Church(Soddy) both pitched great games. I think BJ struck out like 23 people. I was in left field and had about one ball hit to me the whole game. Not to mention it was about 35 degrees on the hill at Soddy. We ended up winning it in the 14th somehow..i really can't remember.

I would have to cast a vote for Jared Dobbs, i was a decent defensive catcher in high school and Dobbs has got all the tools to play in college. He is quick, good arm, maybe needs to put on some weight but. He also nows how to control a pitcher since he himself also pitches or did...not sure about this year.

It seems to me(of course i haven't really seem them play just from listening to yall talk) that when Smalley is on the mound for Hixson they have a chance to beat anybody around here, but when he isn't they are an average team. Of course i don't want to ruffle any feathers because i am just going on what everybody else is saying. It kinda reminds me of my senior year...when we had BJ Church on the mound we had a chance to beat anybody, but if he wasn't pitching we struggled because we couldn't hit water if we fell off a boat. I think the owls are hands down the best team this year in chattanooga and i am looking forward to seeing them play. Of course i hope Soddy beats them though. OH...and imaowl or Grad do yall have any updates on Adam Howard, I used to play summer baseball with him and was pretty good friends with him so i was just wondering.

Yeah imaowl i will be in town this summer! Believe it or not i used to play baseball and played while i was at soddy! I don't post as much during baseball though...i just like to sit back and read all of yall's.

Even though i hate to say it congrats to the owls! I never thought they handle red bank on two consecutive nights! Imaowl is still a joke though!(j/k...thought i would come out of posting retirement just to let you know)

staynskool....i had three cousins that went to parkview.....Kevin,Kristopher, and Korey Mobbs.....Kevin and Korey played football...............Korey was a member of the 1997 State Championship Team./...just wondering if you had ever heard of them.

Man yall get to me! I don't see why you have to trash talk Soddy and everybody else. I tell you what! If DB is so high and mighty go down to Georgia and play....um.....lets see Parkview....or maybe.......Brookwood and then come up here and talk all your trash about how good you are......granted Riverdale would put up a fight.....not saying Soddy could beat those teams but there is no need to trash talk all the dang time
